Happy New Year faithful listeners! Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) are back for more! 2017 has already brought a lot of change and more is yet to come. One of the most notable changes is the change in the console cycle for Nintendo, with the Nintendo Switch. We're here to talk about it, and there is a LOT to discuss. This episode features long-time guests of the show, Grant (GameDadGrant) and Paleo_Steno for a two-hour evaluation of the Nintendo Switch and it's games. In the first segment the gang discusses the overall presentation, the Joy-Con controllers, the Online Services shown so far, and the rather ingenious Parental Controls App Nintendo is developing. In the second and third segments of the show, it's all about the games. The games featured on this episode include but are not limited to… ARMS, ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, BlazBlue for Switch, Splatoon 2, Super Bomberman R, Fire Emblem Warriors, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Project Octopath Traveler, and even more than that… you know… like Super Mario Odyssey and some The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! Negative World's site owner and operator, Zero provides the intro and outro. Break music is pulled from Puyo Puyo Tetris and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Full list of episodes
Fans and listeners new and old, welcome and hello! We have an exciting episode for you today on this American-holiday weekend. We present to you the Bulby/Trivia Special edition of the Negative World Euphonic! This over-three-hour-long episode of the Euphonic podcast has a very special theme with a very special premise. Bulby is a man who spends a lot of his time involved with his passions for 8-bit sounds and video game music. Just check out his YouTube page. He frequently uploads new videos which showcase this man's talents. Typically he creates 8-bit renditions of non-8-bit video game tracks and has a particular fondness of Nintendo. With his blessing we wanted to showcase some of his work and celebrate what he has done. The idea evolved over time into one of a Trivia special. In this episode you'll find Tim (ShadowLink), Matthew (TriforceBun), and Grant (GameDadGrant) as three contestants joining Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) as we explore Bulby's expansive catalog of music. The gimmick? No, it's not motion controls, but instead after the contestants try to figure out what song is being remixed, the person who got the correct answer fast enough had a shot at a trivia question related to the game/song/franchise. It was a lot of fun and now you have a chance to hear it! We even had some special guests show up like a certain 'spy', 'bird', and 'professor'. It was a revolving door of special guest appearances! We explore songs from most of Nintendo's consoles and handhelds and the trivia is a unique mix. How well do you fare? Feel free to keep score for yourself as we'll explain and answer every single trivia question in the show. Can you beat Tim, Matthew, or Grant? Download, listen, enjoy, and find out. Then go visit Bulby over at his various webpages and support this guy would ya? At the very least, spread the word. This music deserves to be heard! The first episode just released a couple of days ago and it was incredibly interesting. It's about Mario Kart 8's soundtrack and it's well worth the click and view. You can comment on the music, the show, etc. on Negative World, Facebook or, Twitter. Enjoy the show! (Also, note that any music contained within this show is a property of Bulby the artist or of Nintendo. The only non-Bulby track contained is our half-way break interlude which features a beloved turtle you may know from a special Nintendo franchise. Grab a slice, cause it's time for another episode of the Negative World Podcast! This time 'round, Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) are treated with a visit from Grant (GameDadGrant) to discuss Nintendo! To start things off the gang discusses Mop It Up's Nintendo Systems Survivor Poll at about it's midpoint. Then there's a brief mention of Tadpole Treble news. Finally there's a rousing Now Playing segment featuring discussions on Project X Zone 2, Final Fantasy Explorers, Bravely Second, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and SteamWorld Heist. After the intermission we get into the primary topics, starting with Miitomo. They dive deep into their experiences and the hits and misses of Nintendo's first true app. This leads into discussion about the future of Nintendo Apps. The topic shifts into recent Pokemon Sun & Moon news before some discussion about Nintendo's secretive nature leading up to E3 and the gang speculates on the future of Nintendo and gaming in general. The break music selection is a couple of delightful tracks from Project X Zone 2 and Miitomo. Negative World's site owner and operator, Zero provides the intro and outro. E3 was earlier this month and we sure do have an onslaught of podcasts coming your way. I'm trying my best to edit them quick but after a series of unfortunate events (and a lack of sleep) I have finally gotten this first one out! It's got a lot packed into it too! We recorded this on the Wednesday of E3 2015 and all in all, between the hosts, guests, and a special segment you'll find the following awesome Negative Worlders! We've got, Michael (Pokefreak911), Lou (TheOldManFromZelda), and Anand (Anand) as main guests. Then we have a special segment with Grant (GameDadGrant), Paul (Ploot), and Dave (BeardedNerd). Then finally of course there's Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) hosting the whole thing. For each episode, we asked each guest a series of five questions relating to Nintendo, E3, or some combo of the two. Once we gained some specific general perspective from each guest we dove into specific topics relating to E3 that each guest wanted to bring to the table. In this first episode Pokefreak911 wanted to talk about Nintendo's Overall Presentation and of course Xenoblade Chronicles X. TheOldManFromZelda chats about Star Fox Zero and The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. Finally Anand talks about Super Smash Bros. DLC for Wii U and 3DS while also bringing his own special topic about perception to the show. Be sure to click the links which will take you to the various trailers where relevant. You'll find a special segment sandwiched between the five answers segment from Joe and I and the first guest. In it is about ten minutes of immediate discussion that occurred right after the Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct that kicked off Nintendo's E3 week. I had been over at Ploot's house with BeardedNerd and GameDadGrant where we watched it live. Then we discussed briefly. All three of those guys will be actual guests in Episodes 81 and 82 but it's a fun mini-segment anyway. Music for the episode is borrowed from a few sources; Xenoblade Chronicles X, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS. The show's theme music is from Negative World site owner and operator, Zero. Please comment on the topics, the podcast, the guests, hosts, etc. on Negative World! You can also reach us through Facebook or Twitter. If you find us on iTunes, please write us a little review there! We would really appreciate the feedback. It's been a long cold winter... and it's been hard on the ol' Fink. He hopes you enjoy this long overdue episode feature and the company of his buddies Joe (Ninsage) and Grant (GameDadGrant). There are just a ton of games to talk about this episode. Project X Zone, the Pokemon Bank, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Mario Golf: World Tour, Mario Kart 8, Yoshi's New Island, and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy for starters... and that's me only listing every other one! Between what we've been playing and what was in February 2014's Nintendo Direct, there's just a ton to discuss... so much so that we don't even have a break for a song. Of course still we have to give a big thanks to Zero for the theme music.
