“2025 End of The Year Online Service” is a moment to pause and thank God for all He's done among us this past year. We've seen growth in our faith, our relationships, our church family, and our impact, often in ways that reminded us we were living a dream. This message celebrates steady, lasting growth over quick wins and points us back to progress, not perfection. As we look ahead, we're reminded that growth around us is exciting, but growth in us is what carries into every season.

Earthwise invites us to rediscover our Divine Design to care for God's creation. Through Scripture and honest reflection on the brokenness we see around us, this series explores how environmental stewardship is an act of justice, discipleship, and hope in Christ. Together we'll consider practical ways to live faithfully as we await God's promised renewal of all things. This week, Pastor Karla begins our series by looking at how God created the earth and entrusted it to us. To be made in God's image is to care for what belongs to God. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! In this message, Pastor Howard walks through Acts 24 and what it looks like to follow Jesus when life feels stuck—when the “New Year” doesn't feel new at all. Through Paul's imprisonment and the day-to-day slog of uncertainty, we're reminded of four anchors to hold tight: choosing joy in trials, living in step with the Holy Spirit, speaking truth even when it's hard, and trusting that God's grace is sufficient—especially in our weakness. If you're facing ongoing hardship, grief, anxiety, or disappointment, this sermon points to the steady hope of Christ's power resting on us. As we close out 2025, Pastor Josh shares a reflective and encouraging message for our Central Valley Church family. This end-of-year message looks back on God's faithfulness throughout the past year—celebrating growth, salvations, baptisms, freedom, and the many ways God has moved in our church and in our lives. Pastor Josh highlights the key sermon series of 2025 and the three themes God has been shaping in us: growing deeper in our relationship with Jesus, trusting in God's sovereignty, and being transformed into the image of Christ. As we reflect on where we've been, we're invited to step into 2026 with confidence, hope, and renewed faith—knowing that God is not finished with us yet. We pray this message encourages you and prepares your heart for the year ahead. God bless you, and Happy New Year from Central Valley Church.
Advent is a time of great anticipation as we await the Christ-child entering our world at Christmas. This year, through the imagination of C.S. Lewis and his book The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, join us on Sunday mornings as we uncover the story of the birth of Christ in a new way. Among all the Pevensie children, Edmund is unique. He is duped by the White Witch, enslaved by her promises and judicious giftings of Turkish delight. He struggles to know what is true. He turns on his siblings and endangers all of Narnia. And then he is found, redeemed, and returned to service as a soon-to-be-King of Narnia. This week, Evan Gratz discusses how at this time of year, when we set aside what we have been and work to set new patterns and habits for the new year, Edmund's story might inspire all of us to seek forgiveness, redemption, and new work as a part of Christ's kingdom. This Sabbath Sunday, we invite you to join us online only as Pastor Preston concludes The Arrival series with a powerful message titled You Are Worth It All.At Liberty Church, we observe Sabbath Sundays as a way to intentionally create space for rest — giving our staff and volunteers time to be refreshed, spend meaningful time with their families, and enjoy the gift of Sabbath. While our teams rest, we gather online as one church family to reflect, worship, and receive from God.As we close this season of Advent and Christmas, we're reminded that the Christmas story is the greatest love story ever told — a Father who gave His Son, a Son who gave His life, and a love that was never meant to condemn, but to save. This message centers on the unshakable truth that we are the ones He loves, and because of that, we are worth it all.

There is a wonderful scene in chapter 16 of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in which Aslan is instructing all the Narnian creatures where they will go and what they will do in the battle with the White Witch. He says, "Those who are good with their noses must come in front with us lions to smell out where the battle is." A recently de-petrified lion bounds in and among the other warriors exclaiming, "Us Lions. That's what I like about Aslan. No side, no stand-off-ishness. Us Lions. That meant him and me." In this we hear again the good news of the incarnation. God does not declare humanity too broken or earth too dirty. Nothing is beneath him. God, in Christ, came to earth so that he might also declare, "Us Humans." This is the miracle we celebrate on Christmas Eve: God has become one of us humans. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! As we near the end of Advent, this message explores a different kind of Christmas joy—the slow, costly, faithful joy of the Magi. From Matthew 2, we see a joy that doesn't arrive all at once but unfolds over time through movement, waiting, and trust. This sermon is for those still walking, still wondering, and still hoping—discovering that true joy is often formed along the journey toward Jesus, not just at the destination. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! This weekend we're continuing our Advent series Great Joy—a month dedicated to rediscovering the deep, soul-rooted joy that Jesus brings. In this message, Pastor Alan explores what Scripture and neuroscience reveal about joy: that we're created for it, wired for it, and shaped by it in our relationships. From Mary and Elizabeth's encounter in Luke 1 to the everyday ways we give and receive delight, we'll see how joy is more than a feeling—it's the atmosphere where our souls come alive. If you're longing for deeper, more grounded joy this season, this message is for you. Lewis and his book The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, join us on Sunday mornings as we uncover the story of the birth of Christ in a new way. C. S. Lewis writes this story against the backdrop of war. Little children are shipped to the North of England, away from London bombings. Imagine the Pevensie children's fear and powerlessness, but also the power of a story like this to restore their hope. Two thousand years before, a girl not much older than Susan wondered, "How can this be?" The truest things are not always the most probable. Salvation comes in extraordinary ways. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! In this Advent message, we explore the “great joy” announced at Jesus' birth—joy strong enough to meet us in our darkest moments and push back the heaviness we carry. When life feels overwhelming and the world moves too fast, Advent invites us to slow down, remember that Jesus has come, and look ahead with confidence that He's coming again. Drawing from Isaiah 9, this message shows how the joy of Christ frees us from despair, oppression, fear, and even sin and death. This isn't shallow happiness—it's a deep, steady joy that meets us right where we are. Wherever you're coming from today, you're invited to rest, breathe, and rediscover the joy of God with us. In this brief series, let us explore together what it looks like to live compassionate lives. If we really saw the image of God in every person, how might that change our world? This week, Pastor Karla examines the Levitical law for caring for the poor and what it has to say to us today about caring for our brothers and sisters in need. She discusses the beauty and the pitfalls of the system, and what the system has to say to us about compassion. Compassion means entering into the suffering of others, even when it hurts. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! When it comes to relationships, conflict is unavoidable—but how we respond makes all the difference. In Acts 21–22, the Apostle Paul faces intense relational tension and shows us both what damages relationships and what can restore them. In this message, Pastor Alan unpacks four ways we often hurt the people around us—avoidance, assumptions, accusations, and judgments—and four ways to move toward peace and reconciliation. There has been an increase in emotional distress across our world over the last decade. As Christians, we often ignore these darker emotions instead of expressing them, but what if the feelings we have are actually an invitation from God to deepen our faith? Join us this fall as we explore our emotional life together. This week, Pastor Karla discusses how envy destroys relationships. If we can learn to celebrate with others, God restores us with joy. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! Join us as Pastor Alan explores a powerful moment in Acts 18–19, where a spiritual awakening breaks out in the city of Ephesus—a place known for its spiritual darkness. In this message, we'll see how clarity about who Jesus is, openness to God's power, readiness for spiritual battle, and a posture of repentance can ignite renewal in our lives and in our world today. This passage reminds us that even in the midst of confusion, fear, and brokenness, God is stirring hearts and bringing light to dark places. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! In this week's message, we explore what it means to live as an ordinary priesthood—people who carry the presence of God into everyday life. Pastor KJ reflects on Paul's time in Corinth, his humble work as a tentmaker, and the way God's kingdom quietly spreads through ordinary moments and simple acts of faith. Discover how everything can become a sacrament—a physical expression of God's grace—and how the gospel is not confined to temples or pulpits, but woven through conversations, work, and even our fears. Welcome to Christ Community's Online Service! As we continue through the book of Acts, we see Paul model a powerful approach in Athens: connecting the gospel to people right where they are. How do we share the good news of Jesus in ways that truly connect with our culture today? In Acts 17, Paul shows us how to see people through God's heart, affirm His image in them, and invite them into real life with Him.
