Yes, the doom machine continues its onslaught here on Horns Up - with Bell Witch - a name that should be on the tip of everyone’s tongues as soon as you mention doom. Earlier this year, Bell Witch released Stygian Bough Volume 1, which was the result of a collaboration with their long time friend, Aerial Ruin. Peter and Animesh got a chance to talk to Bell Witch drummer Jesse Schreibman - about Stygian Bough, Mirror Reaper, and - a lot of news that should make Bell Witch fans really happy. For more Bell Witch, visit https://www.bellwitchdoom.net/Catch up with Peter and Animesh at www.hornsuppod.comSubscribe to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, or add the RSS feed to your preferred podcast player. Mirror Reaper has been the hulking, 800 pound, atmosphere soaked gorilla in the room for a while now, and the boys finally get around to talking about it this week. Enjoy.
Special guest Karol (aka doom-rapper "garbageface") drops by the podcast to tell us about possibly the original sticky situation. How could such a sweet treat turn deadly? Maybe by storing two million gallons of it in a paper-thin water tower? A cautionary tale about paying attention to warning signs, and the children running home with cups of molasses. WW1, building codes, and so much molasses. Erik Moggridge is a guitarist and vocalist who is perhaps best known for his solo work under the name Aerial Ruin, but for long time followers of metal you may remember him from Old Grandad or Metal Blade recording artist Epidemic. From time to time, Erik also lends his vocal talents to Pacific Northwest Doom giants Bell Witch and you can hear him on their new epic "Mirror Reaper." Today we shared music, reminisced about sharing the stage and debated traditional metal. Closing Track "In The Glory of Nigh" by Aerial Ruin. "I Hate Music" theme by Marius Sjoli.
