Youth Challenge 2019 Parent's Night - Mr Peter Lunn
May 31st, 2016. Parent's Night is the follow up to Spike getting pregnant, and host Tim McDonald (@timfmmcdonald) has one guest on for the first time, Brian Clement (@brianfhclement)! We had a great conversation about this episode and the series in general. Brian had some great insight, and some hilarious stories. The three levels of "parent's nights" are discussed in the episode, which actually doesn't show the parent's night at the school. We jumped into some of the darker aspects of Wheels through the series and Neil Hope, the man who played him.
This was the message preached on the night of parents night for our VBS 2018.
Collin Cooke shares his vision for the children and families of Public Church and goes in depth about upcoming events and plans for Public Students.
Happy Monday, Punky Peeps and welcome to another episode of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today I will be reviewing Punky Brewster Season 1 Episode 7 Parent's Night which aired on October 28, 1984. In this episode as the school's Parents Night approaches, Punky is lead by the snooty Margaux Kramer to believe that foster parents don't love their foster children as much as a regular parent would love their biological child. Punky begins to question Henry's love for her when he is constantly distracted by a dog food photo ad job that begins to consume his parenting duties such as accompanying Punky to Parents Night. During this episode I talk about the hardships of a power outage due to a lack of technical devices, and how lack of preparation leads to a shortage of flashlights, also my pure hot rage of hatred towards Margaux reaches a boiling point, as well as Henry's lackadaisical attitude in his prioritizing of parental duties, proper pet protocol, Mrs. Morton's state of mind, and the difference in parenting styles. Also Ernie Sabella who voices Pumbaa from The Lion King plays Margaux's father in this episode. During the last podcast the Episode Question of the Week for S1E7 Parents Night I asked the question: Did your school have a Parents Night and if not what was one of your most proudest achievements in school that you came home and told your parents about, artwork, a hard test you passed, or a play you were in? I didn't get any replies, so I will share some of mine when I was 8 years old I won the Young Author Award in 2nd grade , also in 2nd and 3rd grade I got to be a VIP (Very Important Person) for the month and had a bulletin board filled with my childhood pictures and my Aunt Debbie came in as my guest, and in 3rd grade my Dad was my special guest. I also asked a bonus episode question: What was the name of the dog food Brandon was being photographed with? ANSWER: Kibbles Cordon Bleu Now, it's time to give out my Brandon Tail Wag Episode Rating: I gave this episode 4 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags I knocked off a wag for Henry's gruffness with Brandon over that photo ad shoot. Here's why I gave it 4 Stars: Cherie and Allen defending Punky against Margaux's awful comments Brandon looking adorable in that Chef's Hat Betty getting on Henry's case for neglecting Punky on Parents Night and Henry and Punky's heart to heart conversation Ready for Next Week's Episode Question of the Week for Season 1 Episode 8 Part 1 Go to Sleep (the first of the last two mini 12 minute episodes) What was your bedtime ritual as a child? Did you have a story read to you or a bedtime snack, maybe both? What about glow in the dark stickers on your bedroom ceiling or a white noise machine, did you count sheep? How about now as an adult, what bedtime rituals do you have now? Do you look at your phone, watch TV, Netflix, read, have a snack before bed? Do you use the same methods to fall asleep as you did as a child? Bonus Episode Question: What are the two TV Shows Henry let Punky stay up to watch? To answer these questions you can go to any of the Social Media sites listed on my Soundcloud page and below and I will read them on the podcast making you an Official Punky Peep of the Week. Facebook: Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast Twitter: PunkyPodcast Instagram: PunkyPBPodcast and email at punkypowerpbpodcast@gmali.com also if you enjoy my podcast go to Itunes and leave a 5 Star rating and review and I will read it on the podcast. Welcome Punky Peeps, to another episode of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today I will be discussing Season 1 Episode 6 Take Me Out to the Ballgame which aired on October 21,1984. In this episode we see Henry who has a bad case of Cub Fever strike out twice while trying to obtain some coveted Chicago Cubs Playoffs tickets. Will the third time be the charm? Listen to find out. Also Punky, Cherie and Brandon show off their awesome Halloween costumes which I go into full detail describing. During this episode I also talk about how wonderful it is to have a Friday off from work, my amazing Easter meal I had at my mother in law's house, my new roof, striking out in softball tryouts, a radio giveaway, and a school raffle that ended up working out in my favor. I also don a terrible Brooklyn accent as Lenny the Loop while reviewing this episode. Plus we have a surprise guest during this episode, my cat Quinn makes an appearance and decides to wreak havoc. I give this episode 3 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags. I gave that extra wag for the cool Halloween Costumes. For next week's Episode Question of the Week for Season 1 Episode 7 Parent's Night: Did your school have a Parent's Night where you could bring your parents, to show off your school work, desk and introduce them to your teacher?
