Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Dave Coulier's Birthday, I covered Full House S6E9: Nice Guys Finish First, which aired on November 24, 1992. In this episode Stonewall Binkley, an old rival of Joey's, humiliates him on his and Jesse's radio program, and challenges him to an upcoming hockey game; Joey's hesitant at first but ultimately decides to have his revenge on Stonewall. This was an enjoyable episode. Joey gets a blast from the past when an old nemesis surprises on air on the Rush Hour Renegades and start ripping into him about an old college hockey game Joey lost. Talk about someone who loves to live in the past, this Brinkley guy. The rivalry is still going strong in Brinkley's eyes as he tells Joey "I look forward to humiliating you all over again at the charity hockey game. When did a charity hockey game turn into a I'm better than you contest? Couldn't stand this guy. Joey does his best to be a good sport and not let himself get riled, but Brinkley pushes him too far and then, it is on! Seeing Jesse on skates was hilarious and also him commentating on the game not knowing anything about hockey. Luckily Becky swoops in to save the day. Also we have the side mini plots of DJ learning freeway driving and Michelle afraid of the tabloid Goat Boy from Norway. Join me next month for the new Series, Joey and the Girls, when I cover Full House: S3E18: Mr. Egghead, which aired on February 16, 1990. In this episode Joey gets a job as a guest host on an educational television show for children, where a prop injures Stephanie. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered Full House S4E16: Stephanie Gets Framed, which aired on January 25, 1991. In this episode Steve Urkel comes to town. He helps Stephanie deal with her new glasses, but when she takes all of Joey's funny glasses and disrupts the class with them, she realizes she took it too far. Jesse is also having trouble deciding a best man for his wedding. I enjoyed this episode. Especially getting to see Steve Urkel another beloved TGiF show character interact with characters from another show. Steve comes to town not only to annoy his cousin Julie and DJ, but to give advice to Danny who's sulking around the house playing sad songs on his guitar because Jesse picked Joey to be his best man at his wedding instead of him. Steve basically tells Danny to "get over it" and "move on". Stephanie who's a new owner her first pair of eye glasses is feeling her already low self confidence sink even lower, but thanks to Steve's advice "the trick is to make them laugh with you instead of laugh at you", backfires on her, she winds up disrupting the class with Joey's many pairs of comedic goofy glasses and having to write a hundred times "I will not disrupt the class." Michelle is given DJ's hand me down piggybank and goes around the house shaking people down for coins to add to her new money collection. When she hears that familiar ice cream truck jingle she all but takes a hammer to her precious piggybank to splurge on a sweet treat. Little does Michelle know that if you pull the plug or cork out of the bottom the money should fall right out. I wouldn't think she would have had enough for anything that ice cream truck was selling. Granted these are early 90's prices, but if she has less than 50 cents, she better start digging in the freezer for the pudding or push pops. Today, I covered the first episode in the Back To School Double Feature Part 2 with Full House S4E14: Working Girl, which aired on January 4, 1991. In this episode DJ's grade suffer when she takes a part-time job. I really liked this episode, DJ thinks that to be cool you have to have the newest clothes this includes shoes like the brand new "Blowouts" which sound similar to Rebook Pumps with the basketball on the front that you pump to tighten the shoe. DJ takes a job at a photography studio in the mall as an assistant. I can't imagine she works more than 10 hours a week since she's 14 and in school, but either way it interferes with her school work and causes her already terrible grade in science to slip lower to failing. She just proves to DJ that you can't have a job (which she wants to prove she can be a responsible adult) and go to school at the same time. I personally would never trust a guy that runs a photo studio out of a mall, but that's just me. He gave off creepy vibes. Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the final Free Willy Movie in the trilogy, Free Willy 3: The Rescue. My least favorite of the three movies. I make this fact know throughout this review. IMO this movie did NOT have to be made. MOVIE SYNOPSIS: 16-year-old Jesse and old friend Randolph try to foil an illegal whaler threatening Willy and his pregnant mate. Couldn't stand Max, the 10 year old stand in for Elvis, Jesse's half brother. He was annoying, so much so I wish we had gotten Elvis back. Maybe he improved in the two years since Free Willy 2. Who am I kidding? I highly doubt that. Drew(Randolph's boss?) I'm guessing is a stand in for Ray from the first movie. She makes it clear she can't stand Jesse (maybe cause he's 16) or she's just thinks this kid's a know-it-all even though he hasn't went to college and doesn't have a degree in marine biology. I feel we spend too much time on Max and his Dad (the whaler/enemy of the movie)I don't really care about their relationship. Not enough time spent with Willy and his girlfriend/mate/soon to be wife/SPOILIER Baby Mama. Jesse's harmonica call to Willy VS. Max's squeaky finger rubbing on the side of a boat call to Willy. HANDS DOWN: Jesse's harmonica call for the WIN! I found it hard to believe that Willy formed a bond with Max at all, what just because he has issues with his Dad. First hero worship because he thinks his Dad hunts salmon when in reality he hunts killer whales and sells the meat to international black market, Norway, Japan and Sweden. Max makes it his mission to turn his Dad into a lover of fish instead of a fisher killer. Will he succeed? Listen to find out, or if you've seen the movie, you already know. Have a great week everyone! I hope you enjoy the review at least to some degree!

Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today in honor of John Stamos's (Uncle Jesse) Birthday, I decided to cover Full House: S7E8: Another Opening, Another No Show, which aired on November 3, 1993. In this episode The Smash Club is about to open, but everything that can go wrong does: Joey books the wrong band, Kimmy gives her waitress uniform a "creative" touch, and no one can find the owner, Jesse. Note to Everyone: Don't do what Jesse does in this episode and by that I mean don't wait till the day of opening a new business and still be working out the kinks, for example, the entertainment (granted that mistake is on Joey's part) because he changed the band without Jesse knowing until last minute. He had an expresso machine that barely worked and expected Danny to be able to fix it even though the instructions were only in Italian. Jesse just comes off as a jerk to everyone, yelling at them because he waited to the last minute before making sure everything was ready to go. He screams at Stephanie and Michelle to get off the stage (which they shouldn't have been up there messing with anything to begin with) and then he's trashing on Kimmy's uniform because she had added color designs to a basic black vest. I don't know any jobs that want you making alterations or adornments of any kind to their uniforms since you're representing the face of their company or brand. Jesse and Kimmy get locked in the storeroom and she gives him an earful and he comes to the realization that he's being too hard on everyone. I mean if it were me that he was yelling at I would have left. He should have made sure a week ago that the club was ready to even open. Overall good episode! Danny overloaded on caffeine, hilarious! REM (not that R.E.M) was pretty rockin! Join me next month September, when I kick off the Back to School Double Feature PART 2 with Full House S4E14: Working Girl, which aired on January 4, 1991. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I conclude the SISTERS Double Feature PART 2 with Full House S5E14: Sisters in Crime, which aired on December 17, 1991. In this episode While the guys are at a hockey game, DJ is in charge, but when a hunky guy comes over and asks DJ to the movies, she agrees. Then she realizes that she has to take the girls. At the movies Stephanie spends all of her money at the concession stand, leaving DJ with no money for the tickets. So she asks Kimmy to sneak them in (Kimmy works there). The manager of the movie theater catches them and DJ has to cut the date short. Then she has to teach her sisters to lie so that she doesn't get caught. I really enjoyed this episode. Now, this Steve 1.0 we get(Scott Weinger's first appearance as Steve, only it's Steve Peters not Steve Hale, that comes in Season 6), I was not a fan of this version of Steve he just comes off as unlikeable, nothing like the heart of gold version we all know and love from Season 6-7 and Fuller House Season 1-5). It's interesting watching this episode this time around now that I work at a movie theater. I should have tried to figure how much money was spent on concessions by Stephanie and Michelle in 1991 vs. 2022. I'd say probably over $50 was spent on popcorn, drinks and snacks by 2022 costs. By 1991 costs, I'd say maybe $20 give or take and that's not including the tickets. Becky's Aunt Ida is getting spoiled by seeing the twins twice in two back to back episodes. That's probably twice more than Becky or Jesse parents. I bet anything you know Ida is bragging to Becky's mom about that. I mean this is the same woman who bought Becky the book, Wise Women, Foolish Choices (as a wedding gift). It's clear that none of Becky's family likes Jesse at all, even her cousin in Season 6 says (we all expected Rebecca to do better). I wish we could have see the charity hockey game with Danny, Joey and Jesse that would have been fun to watch. I mean Jesse constantly falling down because he can't skate (we see this in Season 6 Nice Guys Finish First), now seeing Danny on his hands and knees cleaning the slush around the goal crease since he's the goalie as pucks just slide past him into the net, I would have laughed at that. DJ got on my nerves with how selfish she was, doing whatever she had to do in order to go on her date with Steve, including pulling Stephanie away from her homework and taking a sick kid out of the house (to a movie theater no less, so many people especially kids to catch her cold). Then she has them lie on top of it so she won't get in trouble. Today, I covered the first episode in the SISTERS Double Feature PART 2 for August, Full House S4E21: The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang, which aired on March 1, 1991. In this episode Jesse and Joey set about renovating the attic into a loft for newlyweds Jesse and Becky. DJ and Stephanie argue after Stephanie starts dressing like DJ because she wants to be just like her big sister, which leads to a hole in the wall in Danny's room. How did the hole get there, you ask? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out. I liked this episode. My older sister and I have about the same age difference as DJ and Steph do. The difference, there are a couple. We never shared a room and I never wore my sister's clothes (that I know of) growing up. The fix up the attic into a loft apartment plot with Jesse and Joey was goofy. Whether Joey is good with tools, we may never know because Jesse never gave Joey or us the chance to find out. We do know Joey is good at fixing a sandwich, We see the results. In this episode Jackson and Ramona's first high school party has major consequences, when Jackson got drunk. Becky and Jesse team up to host an awards show, where a big win goes to Matt's head. I enjoyed this episode, but honestly could have done with Gia as well as that adulterous woman from the Mommy and Me class that was constantly hitting on Jesse to the point of getting a little too handsy with him. We really didn't need the Jesse and Becky sideplot IMO because it took away from what could have been a better episode with Jackson facing the consequences from DJ due to his drinking at a party. The talk could have been better like Jesse and DJ in Full House Season 3 Just Say No Way better. Granted it wasn't horrible but, more time could have been spent on it, is all I'm saying. Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today, I covered the sequel to 1993's Free Willy, 1995's Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home. Movie Synopsis: Teenager Jesse becomes reunited with Willy two years after the whale's jump to freedom as the teenager tries to rescue the killer whale and other orcas from an oil spill. Overall all having watching this movie again after originally seeing it in the theaters back when I was 13 in 1995 and watching it repeatedly when I owned it on VHS, which I got for Christmas that year. I'd say that it definitely holds up, in my mind anyway. Two years after Willy is set free, Jesse has now become acclimated to living with his adoptive parents the Greenwoods. One adorable happy family. Jesse sure has changed and not just his height either. He is beyond girl crazy. And it's a little much this time around to the point where it comes off creepy. Let me give you an example of just how creepy. He meets up with Randolph on his vacation and notices he has a cute assistant, his goddaughter Nadine. I don't know what Jesse's deal is with binoculars and girls but he and Nadine on the ship looking for whales out in the water, he's standing right next to her and turns his binoculars right on her and she's literally standing two feet away from him. 13 year old me loved it of course, because I had such a crush on him at the time. There's a new addition to the cast and Jesse's life when he gets the sad news his mother has passed away, but she left beyond his 8 year old half brother, Elvis. Hmm, Jesse and Elvis. I take it their mom was an Elvis Presley fan. I mean, come on, you don't name your kid Elvis if you don't like Elvis Presley, right? This kid is annoying from the word go, it's like he's trying to be Jesse from the first movie and failing. Count how many times this kid says "Whatever", I think I lost count around 6 or 8. I also realized this kid is like 12 years old playing 8. Now way does he look like an 8 year old. He's also like 6 months younger than me. The movie keeps upping the stakes, from the oil spill, to health problems with one Willy's family members due to the oil spill, a fake rescue/rehabilitation/capture, the oil on fire, kids trapped on small boat in fiery oil water. This is a great sequel to the first, I feel. As far as the third one goes, Free Willy 3: The Rescue, it's a dumpster fire that needed to not exist. But I will cover it next month just not in full detail, more like a brief overview. It will definitely NOT be a three hours long podcast. I wouldn't do that to myself or you all. I hope you all have fun with this one and have a great week.

Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the last episode in The Almost Break-Up Double Feature, Full House S6E11: Designing Mothers, which aired on December 8, 1992. In this episode Danny meets Vicki's mother, an interior designer, who redecorates Stephanie and Michelle's room without consulting him and it leads he and Vicki to argue and break up. I really enjoyed this episode. Danny and Vicki never use the words break-up like Jesse and Becky do, they just have a disagreement and she leaves, it's Steph and Michelle that call their newly redecorated room "the break-up room". I, for one love the new room design. I also agree with Danny that Vicki's Mom, Liz had no right to redecorate the girls's room without his permission. Liz told Danny redoing the room was her form of an apology for her out of line questioning him the day before. A simple I'm sorry would have worked too, Liz. Although to be honest it was time for that room to be made over. On a side not Joey and Jesse are dealing with a new boss Allison Axelrod at the radio station and both are divided on how to approach this supposed rumor that she's changing the radio station over from rock 'n roll to classical music. Assigned parking spots is her way to break the ice, which Jesse originally mistakes for a pink slip of getting fired. Poor old man Artie or Arnie does in fact get the axe because as Allison puts it "he's dead weight" since he's been with the station for over 30 years. This poor guy, I'm sure this radio station was his life and he gets let go due to old age, isn't that "ageism"? Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm kicking off for July The Almost Break-Up Double Feature with Full House S3E3: Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (In 22 Minutes), with aired on October 6, 1989. In this episode Steph loses a tooth in an apple and decides to spoil the tooth fairy with milk and cookies. Michelle celebrates a new sandbox in the garden with a selfish attitude to toys. Danny reacts very casual and even imitates her when a tool of his is in the hands of a boy. Jesse refuses ever to ride a horse again and Becky in return will stay away when Jesse plays with his band. I enjoyed this episode. Jesse being selfish and always has to be right or win an argument, Becky calls him out on it. They decide to part ways when they can't compromise or agree to disagree since Jesse's got a my way or the highway attitude. Lucky for us true love prevails and they work it out. Speaking of attitude, Michelle's got a case of the mine's and gimme's when it comes to a playdate with other kids at her new sandbox in the backyard. Danny doesn't help matters by clearly demonstrating where Michelle picks up this bad habit. Joey saves the day by pointing out we gotta nip this problem where it counts before it gets worse. Henceforth comes the pass the pancake trend of 1989 at the breakfast table the next morning, Sharing is caring after all. Can't forget Stephanie and her rite of passage moment losing a tooth (not her first btw) as we seeing some missing bottom teeth. But the way she goes on about you'd think it was her first and Danny/Tooth Fairy sure gifts her like it is when (supposedly accidently) leaves her $20 under her pillow. Which everyone reacts to like it's a crisp $100 fresh off the printing press. I get it, when I was 7 in 1989 I would have reacted that way too. I got change in a cup when I lost a tooth. We also got a possible mention of Rocket the horse (not by name) when DJ jumps her first fence. Join me later this month when I cover the last episode in The Almost Break-Up Double Feature Full House S6E11: Designing Mothers, which aired on December 8, 1992. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the last episode in the Father's Day Series, Full House S7E7: High Anxiety, which aired on October 26, 1993. In this episode Michelle wants Danny to stop treating her like a baby. Jesse can't make decisions about the renovation of his club. I think out of all the three episodes I covered for this series, this episode was the one that Danny got on my nerves the most, especially when it came to that ugly hat that looked like it belonged on the head of an antiqued stuffed bear from the 1920s. GAH, that hat was ugly! He kept insisting, practically forcing Michelle to wear it. I mean he actually came to her school, so he could put it on her head in front of her friends and classmates. He humiliated her. Granted he did bring her lunch that she left behind. The second plot with Jesse being overwhelmed with all the choices of new fixtures for the Smash Club. I felt for him, but he really needed to prioritize his responsibilities and focus on one at a time, then go to the next decision to make. Plus he has a house full of people that could help him. I want a red colored toilet so bad, or electric blue or teal. Do they make those? Overall, good episode. Join me in July when I cover the first episode in the Almost Break-Up Double Feature with Full House S3E3: Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (In 22 Minutes), which aired on October 6, 1989. Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Welcome to Summer, as promised here is my movie review of 1993's Free Willy. Movie Synopsis: When a boy learns that a beloved killer whale is to be killed by the aquarium owners, the boy risks everything to free the whale. I loved this movie as a kid and love it still as an adult. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I've loved animal movies as long as I can remember. Watching it again many years later, I realize it still retains the magic that made me fall in love with the characters and the story as it did during my first theatrical viewing back in 1993. Today, I covered the second episode in the Father's Day Series, Full House S6E10: I'm Not DJ, which aired on December 1, 1992. In this episode Stephanie wants to pierce her ears so she can wear real earrings like her friends, the two Jennifers. Danny forbids her from doing so until she begins junior high, just like D.J. Steph doesn't want to wait and is so desperate, she turns to Kimmy Gibbler for help, whose brother just happens to work in an earring shop. I enjoyed this episode. The two Jennifers got on my ever loving nerve, and I couldn't understand why Stephanie wanted so desperately to be accepted my them. I agree with Michelle when she looked at the two girls and came to the conclusion "They don't look cool" You're right Michelle, it's because they're not. They were putting down Stephanie's fashion (sunglasses) and her clip on earring, and because those girls thought her things were lame, Stephanie immediately rejects them, like oh if there not good enough for the Jennifers, then I want nothing more to do with them. The side plot with Jesse giving the boys haircuts due to again the two Jennifers wreak havoc on the Tanner house (they refer to Nicky and Alex as cute little girls). I swear I about lose my mind in anger at this. Dave Coulier in this episode has a duel role as Joey's Uncle Jasper the owner of Kiddie Kuts, the children's barber shop. Kimmy has no business using a piercing gun on Stephanie's ears without Danny's permission. Also I don't think she sterilized or disinfected the piercing gun needle before hand either, who knows what body part was last pierced with that thing. No wonder Steph's ears get infected. Gross! Happy Friday Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today I covered in honor of The Olsen Twins Birthday, Full House S4E17: A Fish Called Martin, which aired on February 1, 1991. In this episode Michelle gets a hard lesson in proper fish care when she gives her new goldfish, Martin, an actual bubble bath and things go belly-up. Meanwhile, Becky teaches the gang to square dance. I enjoyed this episode. Michelle learned a valuable lesson when it comes to caring for a fish and DJ learned to not lower her standards to impression a boy that only cares about one thing... cars. Jesse also learned a lesson, sometimes it's best to compromise instead of argue. Your soon to be wife has family traditions that you may not be into or you think is old fashioned and out of style, but in the ends the future bride gets what she wants. The square dance was so much fun to watch as the family gets into it even though Jesse is being a royal stick in the mud, but by the end he has a smile on his face. The guys also have to explain death to Michelle when it comes to poor Martin the fish, who Michelle according to Joey saying fish like to be clean like people, she gives Martin a bath and the poor fish passes away. Fishes and bubble baths don't mix. This is a hard lesson for Michelle as she learns her actions led to her fish's death and she is beyond scared to get too close to the new fish the guys run out and buy including 10 back up fish in a cabinet on stand by in case the new one expires in 24 hours. In this episode After snooping in DJ's room and finding out that a bad rumor about her has been spread around school and she refuses to talk to him about it, Danny worries that their father-daughter bond is fading. Danny's need to know with DJ borders on obsession and he keeps pushing her to talk to him, he finally gives into temptation and sneaks into her sock drawer to find a note to DJ revealing a so not the end of the world problem. He forces her to go bowling hoping she'll open up, then accidentally lets it slip about her secret note and a big blow out fight escalates between father and daughter. Danny really got in my craw this episode. I mean and DJ even tells him "if I have a problem and I can't handle it, I will come to you". Until then let her handle it Danny. I mean, really, what was he going to do, go down to the school and give Todd Mitchell a lecture on respecting women and no means no. Stephanie and Michelle adjust to being roommates. Which was cute. In this episode Danny feels uncool when DJ turns to Joey and Jesse instead of him. I enjoyed this episode, it being one I don't really watch in my regular rotation. Danny thinking he was going to surprise DJ at this fundraiser she put together for her school by singing the song "My Generation" was ridiculous. Even Jesse, Joey and Becky try to talk him out of it and thankfully DJ catches him ahead of time when she walks into the livingroom and sees him singing this song dressed in a metal holed black leather jacket and leather pants with a grinning skull t-shirt. I would be embarrassed and uncomfortable too if I were her. Thankfully he comes to his senses. Why does it matter if DJ thinks he's cool or not. It seems like Danny is always trying to compete with Jesse for his kids attention of thinking he's cool and hip and with it. Michelle and the Hot and Cold game with Joey was hilarious, seeing him get so frustrated with her to the point where he is crawling around on the floor following her as she retraces her steps. Movie Synopsis: The Brothers Grimm arrive at the home of a wealthy Grande Dame who speaks of the many legends surrounding the fable of the cinder girl before telling the "true" story of her ancestor. For having not ever seen this movie before I really enjoyed it. It was sweet and adorable and heartwarming. Drew Barrymore does an amazing job in this. I really disliked Anjelica Houston's character the Stepmother, but then again how could you not since she has no redeeming qualities. The brunette stepsister Jacqueline was a sweetheart. I thought this was a cute and funny episode. I really let my dislike for Gia be known even though she's not in this episode. Stephanie and baby Dani were so great, and Steph's voice is amazing. Steve handing out the advice to Steph when she is confused as to what direction to take her career now that she is a mom. Gibbler Game Night, woo boy, that was a wild and hilarious time. Ethan is a keeper, he's so sweet and understanding with Ramona and really cares about her. DJ and Matt with the After Hours Pet House Calls was funny too. Today, I covered the final episode in the SERIOUS Episodes for the month of April, Full House S8E10: Under The Influence, which aired on December 6, 1994. In this episode D.J.'s friendship with Kimmy is put to a severe test after D.J. forcibly removes a very drunk Kimmy from a college fraternity party. I remember when I originally saw the preview for this episode, my feelings of apprehension for DJ and Kimmy's friendship, I mean they had mini friendship breaks in Season 2 and 4 but never like this. This episode also answered an age old question us viewers had been wondering since Season 2's Goodbye Mr. Bear, how did Pam Tanner pass away? We knew it was a car accident but to what extent? ANSWER: if you've seen the episode, you already know, but for those that haven't I don't want to spoil it. The side plot of Joey's creative cooking combos (think of Season 5 and Michelle's weird combinations of food to earn her Honey Bee Cooking Badge.) Let me just say it's worse then tuna and oreo icecream or chocolate pudding and olives or Velveeta cheese. I mean TBH Meat Muffins (I don't hate it). Flounder Tart (Fish in a Pop Tart Pastry) PUKE!! Jesse and Joey's way of teaching the meaning of forgiveness to Nicky and Alex only makes the boys more confused. So much fish patter gets flung around (poured down the shirt and gooped on the face). Luckily as per Becky's advice to let the kids work the problem out themselves Michelle's take control and is the bigger person by admitting she lost her cool and handled the situation wrong and begs the boys to give her another chance. They accept. FAVORITE QUOTE OF THE EPISODE: "Kimmy, they called you a lot of things at that party, but cool wasn't one of them". When the guys turn out to be totally reckless drivers, Stephanie is torn between her better judgment, and her desire to let loose and have fun. Meanwhile, the adults all become addicted to Michelle's video game. I really enjoyed this episode. Be being the same age as Jodie Sweetin growing up I identified with her and when I saw the episode description in the TV guide "Stephanie flirts with danger" I knew I couldn't miss this episode, not that I ever did miss it when it aired. My major dislike of Gia is rampant in the episode, plus Jason and Barry are the Bevis and Butthead human equivalent, DJ even refers to them as such. I really loved how DJ protected Stephanie, even if she thought DJ was being "uncool" or "unfair". Thanks to Michelle and Jesse, the rest of the family minus Deej and Steph, get sucked into the world of a video game and that they lose track of the important things like dinner conversations (which they rush through to get back to the game)and checking in with each other. In this episode when Stephanie is paired with a classmate she hates for a school project, she finds out that his father is beating him, and is sworn to secrecy. This episode broke my heart as a child viewer watching this episode for the first time and also as an adult reviewing the episode for the podcast. My heart went out to Charles. Kudos to both this kid actor J.D> Daniels who also played Peter in the first Might Ducks movie (1992). He did a phenomenal job as a child of abuse. Also Kudos to Jodie Sweetin and John Stamos as they really carried this episode towards the end, especially the scene where Jesse tells Stephanie what happened to Charles after Jesse reported his father to the authorities. Out of all the SERIOUS Episodes I'm covering this month this to me is the most powerful and really the darkest episode EVER of Full House. I also 100% identified with Michelle's out of control Funny Buddy phone bill, although mine was The Soap Opera Hotline for Spoilers on my favorite Soap Opera All My Children, when I was 11. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. When Stephanie notices the problem, DJ swears her to secrecy, but the secret is out when DJ collapses during a family outing to the gym. I thought given the subject matter of the episode it was done well. Candace (D.J.) did a believable job as someone in the beginning stages of an eating disorder granted I really have nothing to compare it too. Even though I didn't mention it in the episode, actress Tracey Gold (who played Carol Seaver on Growing Pains) had developed an eating disorder while filming the last couple of Seasons of the show very noticeably in Season 7. It was very heartbreaking, she actually took a break during Season 7 to get some professional help. So many "fat jokes" were written at the character Carol's expense and delivered by her older brother Mike (Kirk Cameron, Candace Cameron Bure's older brother) and younger brother Ben (Jeremy Miller. I really liked that Stephanie was the one who was keyed in to DJ's sudden change in behavior (crankiness) and eating habits (skipping breakfast, lunch and dinner) while all the adults including Becky were unaware even though there were warning signs (cutout pictures of supermodels in swimsuits taped on the refrigerator and choosing to have a water pop (icecube on a popsicle stick) instead of a cake sample. The adults even brushed off DJ's dizzy stumble as not a big deal until Stephanie finally confesses to the family that DJ hasn't eaten ANYTHING in 3 days. That's why she collapses at the gym. Not to mention who brushes their teeth BEFORE they eat. I loved the surprise reveal. It was so adorable! Also apparently Ramona thinks 5 years old is too young to be chewing gum in reference to Jackson and Max showing Tommy how to blow a bubble with gum. Today, I kick off my new series The SERIOUS Episodes Series, with Full House S3E21: Just Say No Way, which aired on March 30, 1990. In this episode It's a big blow for D.J. when she catches her boyfriend Kevin experimenting with booze at a dance - and an even bigger blow when Jesse wrathfully accuses her of same. This was such a powerful episode, powerfully acted and a powerful message. I really thought Jesse and Danny but especially Jesse were way out of line when it came to handling DJ and the beer situation. Neither one of them was willing to listen to DJ and hear her side of the situation and neither of them asked to smell her breath to see if she actually drank the beer, they just assumed because Jesse caught her with a can of beer in her hand and Danny was going based on Jesse's hearsay and that fact that DJ's clothes smelled like alcohol. She even said "someone spilled it on me, really". Danny just sent her to her room without hearing her explanation. I feel Candace (DJ) did an amazing job with the emotional scene of breaking down at being misjudged by her Dad and Uncle Jesse. I love how Stephanie comforted DJ and believed her right off the bat because she knows her sister enough to know if she were lying and she definitely wasn't. This is also the last time we Kevin (DJ's boyfriend/love interest). Today, I conclude the series Danny's Career Ladder Journey Series with Full House S3E24: Our Very First Telethon, which aired on May 4, 1990. In this episode Danny hosts a telethon to raise money for the station. The Beach Boys perform. (Correction: One of the Beach Boys performs: Mike Love to be exact.) I had a fun time with this episode plenty of laughs and musical numbers. I don't know how telethons actually work as far as the host and whether they have to be up for 24 hours straight. I can't imagine they would. I just felt sorry for Danny, I mean everyone got to go home and get some sleep except for him. I mean even Becky who's the co-host got to go home and go to bed. I loved how the family pitched in and helped Danny out after he crashed asleep in that chair. Stephanie's dance to the song Love Shack which is later revived by Jimmy Gibbler in Season 5 of Fuller House. So adorable! Today I covered the second episode in the Danny's Career Ladder Journey, Full House S1E12: Our Very First Promo, which aired on December 18, 1987. In this episode The Tanner family is thrilled when they are chosen to appear in a local promo at Danny's TV station. I thought this was a sweet episode. Loved the ferret (monster), definitely not a fan of Ronnie Gardner the women sent by the station to shoot and direct the promo, her attitude was totally out of line, especially casting Joey aside as not part of the family and having hold the Cue-cards. Poor Joey. Even poor Michelle is in Ronnie's eyes not good enough for the part of Michelle so Ronnie brings in a little Asian girl to play adopted daughter Michelle. Luckily for the family and us the viewers Danny finally having enough of this odd display of his so called family puts his foot down and tells Ronnie we're going to shoot the promo my way and it turns out really nice and honest and genuine. Join me next week as I cover the final episode in the series with Full House S3E24: Our Very First Telethon, which aired on May 4, 1990. In this episode while broadcasting a national fight, Danny lets some information about the fighter's home life slip out that could get him in a lot of trouble. Meanwhile, on the home front Joey and Jesse worry when Michelle develops a cough. I haven't watched this episode in ages and I forgot just how funny it is with Danny interviewing Reggie "The Sandman" Martin (the boxer) and Joey and Jesse trying to give Michelle cough medicine and also how endearing Jesse in the rocking chair with Michelle in her room with the humidifier and Joey giving Danny advice. I loved the gifts the girls gave Danny before his interview segment, especially Stephanie's (the plaster tie tack), which came in handy later. I also enjoyed how Punky taught her spoiled kids Hannah, Diego and Daniel a lesson in appreciating all that they have by having them spend part of the night in the car. In this episode both Joey and Stephanie try to turn friendly dinners into romantic first dates: Josh takes Stephanie out for pizza, and Joey invites his boss, Alison, to the house for dinner. I felt bad for Josh and Allison, both unaware of the dinner partner's intentions which then lead to major awkwardness and embarrassment for both parties, which then leads both DJ, Steve and Jesse to step in to console and counsel Stephanie, Josh and Allison. Surprisingly, Michelle was out for most of this episode. Only popping into deliver witty and occasional jaw-dropping one liners. I found this episode hilarious when it came to Michelle hiding people's things. I definitely agree with Karen that Danny overreacted to her apartment. I mean she's busy teaching dance class probably along with whatever job she has and she hasn't had time to pick up the place. Not to mention she wasn't expecting anyone over, their date was a spur of the moment thing. I she she could have told him "oh BTW I haven't cleaned the place in a bit, so be prepared for a mess" She had no idea Danny would lose his head over it. It wasn't that bad, I mean, I've seen worse. In this episode Danny is over the moon when he gets a date at the market, and the guys have a triple date with her and her two friends. It becomes awkward when it turns out Danny's date has a history with Jesse. DJ loses Danny's wedding ring down the drain. I really liked this episode and can see now as an adult how Denise seemed kind of unstable when it came to her reaction to seeing Jesse again, I mean, she pracually knocked her two friends down as she flew into Jesse's arms. She even named her puppy after him. Yikes! Who names their pet after their ex? She completely ignores Danny, the one she's supposed to be on a date with. Joey isn't any better with his date as he insults her name, Zoey asking her if she's named after one of Frank Zappa's kids. Granted he does hit it off with Cheryl who's supposed to be Jesse's date. She's into his impressions. Turns out Zoey who bears a striking resemblance to actress Laura Dern in my opinion is into cleaning and hates messes. Interesting, could this be a surprising love connection for someone in the house? The girls get into some splish splash trouble when DJ who is in charge of babysitting of Stephanie and Michelle decides ignore the girls and talk on the phone to Kimmy. Thus Stephanie and Michelle dress up in Danny's clothes, nothing the girls have on is anything we're ever seen Danny wear. DJ catches the girls in the bathroom and notices Steph wearing Danny's wedding ring which he has taken off for the first time. DJ takes it from Stephanie and accidently it drops down the drain. Hey Full House Fans and Golden Retriever Lovers, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today in honor of National Golden Retriever Day, I covered Full House S8E1: Comet's Excellent Adventure, which aired on September 27, 1994. In this episode Comet, the dog, runs away. The Rippers no longer want Jesse in their band. D.J. ends a relationship with a rich boyfriend. I really loved this episode, the new Season brings a NEW Comet or as I refer to him Comet 2.0, replacing OG Comet from Seasons 4-7. We see Jesse being dumped by the Rippers thus leaving him to eventually start his new band Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets, where we will meet DJ's new boyfriend Viper, that is after she breaks things off with her new flame Richie Rich money bags Nelson. I'll be honest I found Nelson boring and bland, but compared to Viper, he's a sweetheart to some degree, however neither will compare to Steve. Joey, this final Season is rocking a lion's mane of hair that is wildly out of control, seems like the longer the hair the goofier Joey is and he is at max goof (not the character) factor in this episode. Since Comet's new Lassie-esqe girlfriend is nameless in this episode I decided to call her Cassie the Collie (I know, I'm weird). Also in front all of the Bay Area while telling the viewers of Wake Up San Francisco that Comet is lost, we learn Kimmy has weird tastes when it comes to what she desires in an ideal man such as a men covered in gravy. EWW! Also Joey gives us an uncomfortable picture when he talks about his feet and Comet's nose and tongue. GROSS! Have a great weekend everyone! To EMAIL The Podcast GO TO: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com

In this episode Ramona asks Stephanie to keep quiet about her hickey while Fernando has a hard time adjusting to his new living situation. I'll be honest about a couple characters here, I really can't stand Popko and Fernando got on my nerves, but worst of all Mankowski (Jackson's friend) his crush on DJ was just unnerving and uncomfortable. Kimmy's chin tail (hair pulled down and ponytailed under the chin) reminded me of the Beast in the animated Beauty and the Beast in the scene when he's getting dressed up for his date with Belle, his chin goatee had a bow at the end of it. I did have fun with this episode and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mankowski changing Cosmo's name to Derek and when Max called Cosmo he didn't respond, but walked over to Mankowski when he called him Derek. Even Fernando calls Cosmo, Derek. Hilarious! Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I conclude the Jesse and the Girls Series with a Jesse and Stephanie episode, Full House S8E18: We Got The Beat, which aired on February 21, 1995. In this episode Stephanie, her friends and Kimmy form their own band, and allow Jesse to be their manager. Jesse proves too demanding and too critical, so they drop him and attempt to make it on their own. This was an enjoyable episode. However, Stephanie's attitude toward Jesse and her lack of commitment to a new skill like playing the guitar and learning a to play a song just really bugged me. Her acting like after a couple days of playing that song that she and her friends were ready to perform on stage in front of people for a competition. It was just ridiculous. She thought she knew more about music than her Uncle Jesse who has being playing guitar since he was probably Steph's age and has been in multiple bands over the years as well as performed on stage. He knew it takes commitment and hard work and determination to be in music and playing an instrument successfully. Also Danny and Joey playing the stock market, just risky. How much did Danny wager with the Glamotoys stock? we never know, only that it was more than Joey. How old do you have to be to invest in the stock market? Kimmy is what 17 or 18? Just found my answer, you have to be 18. Kimmy is smarter than Danny and Joey when it comes to the stock market, Joey sold the stock when it was low and Kimmy jumped in and bought some stock and then it shot right up allowing her to make a profit. Good on her. Join me next week when I cover the Dating Disasters Series for February with Full House S2E8: Triple Date, which aired on December 9, 1988. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Jodie Sweetin's (Stephanie Tanner) Birthday, I decided to cover S7E14: Is It True About Stephanie?, which aired on January 4, 1994. In this episode after Stephanie makes a date with Gia's crush, Gia spreads a nasty rumor, prompting Stephanie to fight back with her own prank. Lovely , Danny's behavior after his breakup with Vicky makes the rest of the family wonder if he's mwah cracking up. I'll be honest and say I never really cared to much for Gia's character. Even after this episode where she and Steph became friends, just something about her rubbed me the wrong way. This was Mickey's final episode and the beginning of a friendship between Steph and Gia that we will see continue when Gia makes her return in season 8 episode 2 Breaking Away, where even Danny is surprised that she is even hanging out with Gia. I mean, if we look ahead to Fuller House, Gia really is the same old Gia and she has a daughter named Rocki that has a heart of gold. How Matt ended up with Gia is just baffling to me. Feel free to disagree, just my opinion. There is also the side plot of Danny dealing with breaking off his engagement with Vicki by changing every room in the house and making it worse off, and the family trying to be support and understanding while also adjusting to some wacky changes such as the organ in the middle of the living room, work boots(like construction work boots, who in that family is working construction?)in the kitchen cupboards above the counters as well as sports equipment, a basketball, tennis balls, golfballs, baseballs, wiffleballs etc. I mean I knew the Tanners liked sports on occasion but this is nuts and why would you put them in a cupboard where you know as soon as the door is opened they'll come tumbling out of it. Also a low rise table where the entire family is eating dinner sitting on pillows on the floor eating Japanese. sitting on the floor with my legs crossed would lead to major cramping after a while. Also Michelle was fine eating squid as long as no one told her what it was, as soon as Joey told her she was eating squid she immediately spit it out. If you were eating something new and were enjoying it without knowing what it was like the Tanners trying a new culture type of food. Would you want someone to tell you and if the name turned you off or sounded gross would you still keep eating it? Eating out of your comfort zone? Join me next week when I complete the Jesse and the Girls Series with Full House S8E18: We Got The Beat, which aired on February 21, 1995. in this episode Stephanie her friends and Kimmy form their own band, and allow Jesse to be their manager. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm continuing the series Jesse and the Girls with Full House S3E22: Three Men and Another Baby, which aired on April 13, 1990. In this episode Michelle is jealous when Danny agrees to babysit a neighbor's infant overnight; DJ's math homework stumps Joey. My Thoughts On This Episode: Danny agrees to babysit the neighbor's baby knowing full well he has to take Comet to obedience school then just figures the guys Jesse and and Joey will watch him. So taking his dog to obedience school is more important to Danny than committing to watching your neighbor's child? Speaking of Comet and obedience school, Danny also thinks after one lesson that Comet will be a new and improved trained dog. I don't know any dogs that were perfectly trained after one lesson. I can just picture Victoria Stillwell (Reality Dog Training TV Show, It's Me Or The Dog) pulling up to the Tanner home and going off on Danny for his nonsense when it comes to Comet, but maybe she even gets the kids involved in the training. That would be fun to watch. They (and by they I mean Danny) should have prepared Michelle for Tony's arrival especially since he would be bunking in her room and using her old crib. Now I don't think Michelle would have had a problem with Danny spending time with Tony because it's Uncle Jesse who gives all his attention to Michelle. I think Michelle is acting no different that any child who has to share parents and attention with a new sibling. Jesse thinks the way to reward Michelle for being a big girl (more like giving in to her being a brat) is to have DJ or Stephanie sacrifice one of their treasured childhood toys. No surprise, Michelle picks Mr. Bear and renames his Willie. Hmm? Willie Tanner, where have I heard that name before. Oh yeah, now I remember, the TV Show ALF (1986). I also love how DJ cons Joey into completing her math homework. She also mentions while playing with baby Tony, "I always wanted a baby brother." Relax Deej, you'll have three boys of your own soon enough. I felt baby for baby Tony along with Michelle screaming at him from above his crib waking him up, the girls and Joey are putting their faces so close to his and rubbing his stomach like it's a magic lamp. I'd freak out too, if I was him. C'mon, personal space, please. Join me next week for the next episode in the Jesse and the Girls Series, Full House S5E19: The Devil Made Me Do It, which aired on February 18, 1992. Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered Fuller House S1E2: Moving Day, February 26, 2016. In this episode when the big day comes for Stephanie and Kimmy to join the Fuller house, Jackson feels outnumbered and takes drastic action. This was a fun episode. For a pilot, this worked really well and of course I loved it. I also loved the throwbacks to the pilot episode of Full House. In my opinion, I felt that DJ having known that Kimmy and Ramona were moving in, she should have set the boys down and told them instead of guilt food making for Jackson and then just giving Ramona his room. Also for Steph and Kimmy, if you're watching the kids make sure they're all there. Don't just assume he's somewhere in the house. Some throwbacks from Full House, Max singing "It's Moving Day", Michelle sung this made up in Full House in Season 4's Fuller House when she thought the family was all moving into Becky's apartment. Jesse snd Joey changing baby Michelle's diaper in the pilot episode of Full House vs. Kimmy and Stephanie changing baby Tommy's diaper in Fuller House. Which was funnier? I'd go with Jesse and Joey, because they really were clueless and there were so many steps they took to changing her diaper, meat rack, pot, sink sprayer, fan, paper towel, vegetable bag. Join me next month January 2022, when I cover the first episode in the series Jesse and the Girls, Full House S2E12: Fogged In, which aired on January 20, 1989. In this episode the fog rolls in and so does everyone else. Have a great holiday next week and New Year! See you January 7, 2022. To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com
