This episode gives information about the changes Medicare recipients are able to make during the Open Enrollment Period and alerts recipients of the marketing violations and scams surrounding the OEP.  The SMP encourages anyone interested in making changes to their Medicare coverage to contact the AR SHIIP.

This ALERT is about the New Medicare Card Scam.  Scammers are calling Medicare recipients and stating that Medicare is sending a new Medicare card to all Medicare beneficiaries, they just need them to verify their Medicare number in order to receive the new card.  You will need to tune in to hear the various versions of this scam and the different types of cards, and alleged reasons for the new card!  Don't fall victim to this scam!  Medicare is NOT sending new cards!  PLEASE TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

This episode is an overview of a nationwide scam - the Cardiovascular Genetic Testing Scam - and an interview with a client who contacted our offices to notify us that he had been a victim of the scam.  In the interview he describes how the scam worked and what took place after he fell victim.
