The Podcast home for ALT 105.9, including Locally Sourced, a podcast hosted by Haz-Matt of The AM Mayhem, spotlighting local Hawaii based creators.
So.. we... the former staff of ALT 105.9 got together and did a podcast, of sorts. It was more of us reflecting on the good times and sharing some of our best memories of working on the funnest station we had the pleasure of working at.
Welcome to another Locally Sourced! Today I’m talking to Ashleigh, a local fashion designer. She talks about how a creative eye as a kid became a new entrepreneurial venture. If you have a passion project you want to have spotlighted on the show, make sure to send a message to HazMatt@alt1059.com. Let’s go!
This time out, Haz-Matt is talking with Kate from Rogue Wave Toys. Kate has designed a set of beach toys that are colorful, fun, and highly functional along with being compostable and sustainable! Her inspiration began on the east coast, but really picked up energy while living here in Hawaii. Now, she's taken it from an idea, to a fully functional product that has the potential to replace many forms of plastic. It's a fun talk about following an entrepreneurial path and not realizing successes until you see how far you've come. Make sure to check out roguewavetoys.com for all the details!
Long-time friend of the show and funnyman Paul Ogata stops by to talk The Aloha Comedy Festival, Star Wars, Marvel, getting hit in the nuts with a rake, prostitutes, and viking funerals. The usual. We just drop into a conversation and then the interview kicks in. It was great to have Paul back on the mic and make sure you hit up alohacomedyfestival.com to grab tickets to his - and all of the amazing - shows!

All three of these talents have new issues debuting at the convention this year, so be sure to stop by their booth to check them out!
Aloha! Thanks for tuning in to another episode of Locally Sourced. Many of the people we talk to art creative types - artists and performers, but they all find themselves needing something extra to take their hobby to the next level. They need to be entrepreneurs. It's in that spirit we're talking to Aga and Ursula from emPOW-HER, a group dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs kick start or level up their side hustle or main business venture. Give a listen if you're looking for a new way to approach applying your passion to a business world.
On this Locally Sourced we've got Chad from Crappy Kids. You've probably seen his adorable smiling poops (can't believe I just wrote that) on shirts, stickers, and more over the past 10 years of the brand.
