Hello friends, it has been so long, hasn’t it? Well, we here at Another Orbit feel it is important to speak candidly about our absence. Caliza is our main editor and has been experiencing a stronger flux of mental health lows. So, we decided to let her focus on whipping herself into fighting (–read– barely standing) shape! We are back to recording this weekend and releasing episodes on a monthly basis (at least until Spring). With all that being said, thank you to everyone who has listened to any of our episodes while we worked on some survival techniques. Your messages were all taken in and appreciated. Thank you! • • • • We aren’t conventional people and our love stories reflected that. We dove into what kind of loves keep us afloat – Self-love was at the top of our lists here and we discuss what that looks like for each of us: for Suz, that meant really falling in love and depending on herself and for Caliza it was about acknowledging self-destructing habits. Suz also talks a bit about finding love as an aromantic/asexual and Caliza covers a song that was always an undercover queer moment waiting to be discovered. • Much love to you all! • • • Suz Picks: Lizzo - Soulmate Mr. Oizo - Hand in the Fire • Caliza’s Picks: Mac Miller - What’s the Use Lou Reed - Walk on the Wild Side • Please test your drugs https://dancesafe.org/ https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/press-release/file/1199456/download
Hey Friends! Sorry for the hiccup in uploading but we’ve had a really busy summer which is how its supposed to be right? Anyway, this episode is us sharing our coming out stories as well as one song we dedicated to our experience. Suz goes into to detail about asexuality and how confusing that is while growing up! Caliza gets personal and shares the heartache for her experience (UPDATE: Caliza didn’t mention this in the show, but all is well with her mom. They are closer now than ever) (I love you mom!!!) Listen in and share with us your coming out stories! hello@otherorbit.com We also take a moment and chat about "Shit not to say to asexual or gay people". We discuss privileges and misconceptions about asexuality! This is a deeply personal episode for us, and we ,frankly, find being vulnerable a little embarrassing but we found it cathartic to talk about it! THANKS FOR CHECKING US OUT!
