Hey Friends! In this guided mindful decluttering session, we focus on the extra bedroom—whether it's a guest room, child's room, or catch-all space. You'll choose your where and when, gather a few simple supplies, and then use breath, body, and sensory awareness to help you stay present while sorting and letting go. We'll also use a simple question to guide decisions: What actually participates in the life of this room? And throughout the practice, come back to: One breath. One object. One decision. Hope you enjoy this episode! XO, Amber Find me at @amber.cammidge on Instagram. About Amber Amber Cammidge is the creator of The Mindful Home Technique,  a science-backed approach to creating a home with less overwhelm.  She is host of Declutter Your Chaos, a top ranking podcast with almost 2 million downloads, and hundreds of raving reviews, where a she helps women stop fighting their clutter by understanding the psychology behind it. Blending behavioral science, neuroscience, practical decluttering strategies, and mindfulness - informed by her training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and immersion in the teachings of Joe Dispenza, Jon Kabat Zinn, and Tich Nhat Hanh - Amber teaches that your home isn't just where you live - it's where you practice becoming the person you want to be. In this episode of Sixtysometing, your host, Grace Taylor Segal, recounts taking her three young grandchildren to their first baseball game, an Anaheim Angels game, with her husband Aaron, daughter Juliet, and Aaron's brother Elliott, staying for postgame fireworks and spending the night at a nearby hotel.Though she worried about meltdowns and attention spans, the kids did great, enjoying snacks, souvenirs, and the overall ballpark experience more than the game itself, and the fireworks captivated everyone. Grace reflects that the day was really about sharing places and experiences tied to family history—Aaron's childhood memories at Angel Stadium and her own baseball roots with the St. Louis Cardinals—and how grandparents can “open the door” to what they love without pressure. She emphasizes showing up, being flexible about what “success” looks like, starting traditions simply, and not waiting for a perfect time to make memories.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Hey Friends! Sixtysomething Season 3, Episode 3 - Mark Died & I Don't Know What to DoIn this episode of Sixtysomething, your host, Grace Taylor Segal, shares this deeply personal story of recently losing her younger brother, Mark, at age 66—and the unexpected emotions that followed. Instead of overwhelming sadness, she found herself living with unanswered questions, complicated memories, unresolved feelings, and a surprising emotional numbness. This isn't an episode about having the perfect ending or finding easy closure. It's about the reality of loving someone with whom you've shared both joy and pain. It's about family relationships that never fit neatly into a box, the difficult conversations that never happened, and learning that grief isn't always what we expect. If you've ever lost someone with whom your relationship was complicated—or if you've wondered whether you're grieving "the right way"—this conversation is for you.Sometimes simply knowing you're not alone is enough.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *In This EpisodeWhy grief doesn't always look the way we expectLosing a sibling after a lifetime of shared historyThe challenge of saying goodbye when relationships are complicatedWhy death doesn't magically erase old hurtsThe "loss inside the loss" when closure never comesFeeling numb instead of devastatedHow family members can mourn the same person in very different waysLearning to remember someone as their whole, imperfect selfFinding peace without getting all the answers* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Hey Friends! Hey Friends, In this episode, I sit down with Celina Caovan, a holistic physical therapist. In this casual conversation, Celina and I explore inner work, boundaries, and how the body can serve as a powerful guide back to self-reconnection. We discuss the ways our physical symptoms, habits, and patterns can offer valuable insight into what is happening beneath the surface, and how learning to listen to our bodies can help us make more aligned decisions in our homes, relationships, and daily lives. Celina shares her perspective on nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and the importance of honoring our own needs rather than continually abandoning ourselves to meet the expectations of others. If you've ever felt disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by life's demands, or curious about the connection between physical well-being and personal growth, this conversation offers a gentle invitation to slow down, tune in, and come home to yourself. Hey Friends! This week we are joined by Samantha Allen talking about her new book Puck! We're talking Bill Shakespeare, reality show mortality and being the queerest person at your friend's wedding (or so you think) and much more! Book descrption below Theme by Man with Roses Meet Puck: the nonbinary, thirty-year-old mastermind behind Homewreckers, a dating show that puts troubled couples through hell—with a little help from their exes. Used to being the one pulling the strings, it shocks Puck when their life undergoes a plot twist of its own and their college roommate Mia announces her engagement to her ex's best friend, Damon. Having only recently broken up with longtime-boyfriend Zander, and never having had much in common with Damon (who lovesick Lena has always pined after), Mia's news leaves her friend group reeling—and Puck's mind whirling. When they arrive for a week of wedding festivities at an upscale resort in the Appalachian forest, Puck immediately sees that Mia's marriage will lead to misery, and takes it upon themself to save their friends by rearranging the couples—without anyone finding out. But as Puck comes up against a type-A maid of honor hell-bent on making this wedding happen, it becomes clear that they will have to deliver the greatest stunt of their career. If only they can take their eyes off the bridesmaid. After all, the course of true love never did run smooth…

Hey Friends, When do you get to stop doing and being everything for everyone else? In this episode, we talk about the exhaustion of constant striving — waking up every day trying to get through the list, hoping that if you just do enough, you'll finally feel settled. You built the life you were told would make you happy: The house. The family. The roles. The responsibilities. And yet something still feels incomplete. This episode is about that feeling. It's about the conditioning that taught many of us to come last. It's about how our homes filled up while we were busy trying to be everything for everyone. And it's about why organizing alone doesn't solve the deeper ache. When your identity is built on performance, achievement, and caretaking, the house becomes a reflection of that pace. It fills up while you are busy keeping up. The solution is not intensity. Reflection Questions Where in your life are you still standing in a line you don't actually want to be in? What expectation can you gently release this month? What is one small boundary you can create inside your home this week? A Gentle Reminder You are not behind. You are not broken. You are not missing a secret system. You may simply be overextended. March is an invitation to step out of the race — not to abandon your life, but to re-enter it differently. Internal shift first. The house will follow. Your Decluttering Year Program: If you would like more information about my year long decluttering program click HERE.
