The Tim Conway Jr Show Hour with Andy Riesmeyer Hour 3 (7.20) Everyone’s favorite bald eagle Jackie got jumped in a gang-style turf war with other eagles in Dana Point Park near Big Bear — she was rescued with no major injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. Garbage trucks with cameras to spy on homes for code violations? The idea was floated in parts of Florida and it’s giving major HOA-on-steroids vibes. Meanwhile, a shredded lettuce recall linked to the cyclosporiasis parasite is hitting fast food chains like Taco Bell, leaving thousands with explosive diarrhea. Listener TalkBacks are fired up over EV battery obsolescence, Trump’s moves on the CDC, and whether that’s why the U.S. is awash in stomach issues. And in this brutal heatwave, sticky-fingered thieves in Pasadena are ripping air conditioner units from businesses (including vet clinics and bakeries) — not for the cool air, but for the valuable scrap metal inside. Scott Penfold breaks down the day's biggest rock and metal headlines on The Metal Breakdown Daily. Today's stories: L7 bassist Jennifer Finch has died at 59 following a battle with aggressive brain cancer, just five days after her diagnosis was made public — Scott looks at the incredible $375,000 outpouring of support from members of Tool, Garbage, Pearl Jam and Bikini Kill in her final days, and her request that L7's farewell tour carry on without her. Plus: RUSH is reportedly in talks for a Las Vegas Sphere residency, with Eddie Trunk claiming a 16-to-18-show run is already a done deal for next year. And the cast of Super Troopers crashed Limp Bizkit's set at Creed's Summer of '99 and Beyond Festival in Tinley Park to serve Fred Durst a "noise complaint" — before helping the band close out with "Break Stuff." The time of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is upon us. And to cap off our look at three inspirations of his 2026 epic we're going back ten years to 2016's Gods of Egypt. Directed by Alex Proyas the mind behind both The Crow and Dark City adapts, in the loosest of terms, ancient Egyptian mythology with some of the whitest people in entertainment. "On 2 U" It's hard to imagine a band working today that captures the grit and the glamor of Los Angeles better than Starcrawler. Formed in 2015 by teenage classmates, the young band tore out of the gates with an aggressive blend of crunchy punk and deliciously sleazy hard rock. Led by singer Arrow De Wilde, Starcrawler are one of those rare out of the box bands that knew who they were early on--which is really just a way of saying they sounded like they were born ready to be rock stars. The band's three long players--Starcrawler, Devour You and She Said--form a winning triptych of driving and doomy rock and roll that's powered by DeWilde's winning vocal bite. The band, which is made up of DeWilde, Cash and his brother Bill, and rounded out by Seth Carolina and Tim Franco, play tight sludgy riffs, whiplash drum fills and prowling baselines that stalk through each number with muscle and nerve. One of the most charismatic, dynamic and adrenalized live acts on the planet, Starcrawler have done a lot in the last decade; they've played South By Southwest, Later With Jools Holland, toured all over the U.S., Europe and Australia, played shows with Garbage and Nick Cave and have just released their new single "On 2 U." As for guitarist Henri Cash, the Southern California native is a busy guy--known for playing a three-string guitar, Cash's riffs are inventive and intuitive and beneath their aggression is an undeniable discipline and craft. Cash has collaborated with the band Plague Vendor and along with Sophia Skye he formed the duo Cash & Skye, who put out a seven-inch on Jack White's Third Man Records. He's a busy guy, so we're grateful he took the time to sit down with us. www.starcrawler.com www.bombshellradio.com (http://www.bombshellradio.com) www.stereoembersmagazine.com (http://www.stereoembersmagazine.com) www.alexgreenbooks.com (http://www.alexgreenbooks.com) BLUESKY + THREADS + IG: @emberspodcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com

Various rates were offered for commercial dumpster services starting at 0.84 monthly for a two-cubic yard dumpster collected weekly. Waste Pro bid .60 per month... Article Link

Episode Notes Afterimage: We have to get through this to get to the fun sports one, but it's a good Ezri episode. Jude gets sniped by the word Destiny, for some odd reason. Garak has just a tad of PTSD going on. Bashir and Quark call dibs (gross). Ezri gets a promotion, and then also is put in charge of the crew's mental health, so... yay? What happens when a software CEO stops thinking like a marketer and starts thinking like a thought leader? You get a content flywheel that ranks #1 on Google, ChatGPT, and Claude — without hiring an SEO firm. Ghazenfer Mansoor, Founder and CEO of Technology Rivers, didn't set out to become a thought leader. He set out to grow a business. But as referrals gave way to inbound and conference conversations evolved into podcast guesting, something became clear: the content he was putting into the world was doing real work — compounding quietly in the background. In this episode, Ghazenfer walks through how that evolution happened — from the first blog post written just before COVID, to a podcast, to a book (Beyond the Download) that almost started as an e-book. None of it was planned. All of it was genuine. Peter and Ghazenfer dig into what makes that kind of content work, and why it's so different from what a hired marketer typically produces. When an expert writes about what they actually know — mobile apps, HIPAA-compliant healthcare software, AI-powered workflows — the depth shows. Readers feel it. Search algorithms reward it. Clients trust it. They also tackle one of the most pressing questions for any modern thought leader: where does AI fit? Ghazenfer's answer is nuanced and practical. AI is a great editor and organizer, but only if the raw material — the knowledge, the perspective, the real experience — comes from you. Garbage in, garbage out. Grade in, grade out. Perhaps the most useful insight in this conversation is about patience. Thought leadership doesn't pay off the way a campaign does. There's no 30-day attribution window. It's a long game — a flywheel that takes time to spin up, and then becomes very hard to stop. If you're a practitioner, entrepreneur, or expert who's been wondering whether to invest in content, this episode gives you an honest look at the payoff, the process, and the pitfalls. Three Key Takeaways: • Genuine expertise outperforms outsourced content every time. When a practitioner writes from real experience — not a marketer writing for a brief — the depth is unmistakable. Audiences feel it, and so do search algorithms. Ghazenfer's content began ranking #1 on Google and major AI platforms without any deliberate SEO strategy. • Thought leadership has a compounding effect, not a campaign timeline. Unlike paid marketing with a defined attribution window, content-based thought leadership builds slowly and then accelerates. Ghazenfer cautions against expecting quick ROI — and points to the flywheel effect that kicks in only after consistent, sustained effort. • AI is an amplifier, not a ghostwriter. The data still has to come from you. Ghazenfer uses AI to organize, clean up, and optimize the content he produces — but the knowledge, perspective, and specific expertise must be his own. Using AI on generic inputs produces generic outputs that no one will remember. If this episode got you thinking about the relationship between content and credibility, there's a natural next listen. Both Ghazenfer Mansoor and Stephanie Chandler came to the book-writing process the same way — as entrepreneurs who needed a better way to demonstrate expertise, not as authors chasing a bestseller list. Where Ghazenfer built his book from blogs and an e-book that outgrew itself, Stephanie has spent years helping nonfiction authors do the same thing: turn hard-won expertise into a book that actually supports a business. Hear her break down the promotion strategies most entrepreneurs skip, the product ecosystem a book should anchor, and why social media probably isn't where your next reader is coming from. It's the tactical counterpart to everything Ghazenfer shared about playing the long game. Listen to Marketing and Product Roadmaps for Entrepreneurs with Stephanie Chandler!
Tim Conway Jr. Show Hour –2 (7.9) Andy Reismeyer is back in for Tim Conway Jr. and this hour is loaded. He kicks things off ranting about modern cars and the wild reality that you now basically have to log in to your own vehicle just to get it to start. Technology was supposed to make life easier, right? Then it's the KTLA Cross with Cher and John Fenoglio, where things get weird in the best way. Swifties are out here buying literal trash, and a California restaurant is fining parents hundreds of dollars for their kids' bad behavior. The internet has thoughts. Plus, home expert Dean Sharp pulls up for plumbing and HVAC talk from an installer's perspective, previewing his Sunday show with the pros from Point Loma Home Pros who keep your house actually running. It's the behind-the-scenes home knowledge you didn't know you needed. It's smart, it's funny, it's a peak SoCal radio. We continue our epic and cinematic journey towards Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey by taking a look at a second inspiration behind his adaptation. This time it's Troy from 2004 from director Wolfgang Peterson. Loosely based on Homer's Iliad and the story of the Trojan War it pits (pun intended) Brad Pitt's Achilles against Eric Bana's Hector, Orlando Blooms Paris against Brendan Gleeson's Menelaus, a city of stupid people against a horse and a whole lot more. How do you know whether an AI agent is doing its job or quietly failing in production?Galileo is building the trust layer for AI. Its evaluation and observability platform is how enterprises measure whether the output of an LLM or an agent is good or bad.Galileo started before "LLM" was even a word. When Atin showed his prototype to Stanford's Chris Ré, his own first question was "what is a language model?" Today its customers include Reddit, Airbnb, P&G, Comcast, and six of the Fortune 50. Atin spent a decade in big tech before co-founding Galileo with Vikram Chatterji in early 2021. He worked on the knowledge graphs behind Siri at Apple, then became one of the leads and architects of Michelangelo, Uber's AI platform, that hosts thousands of models across pricing, ETA, and demand. That Uber experience taught him the lesson the whole company is built on; that in AI, observability and evaluation are the real bottleneck, and bad data is catastrophic. As ChatGPT turned every AI output into something a user sees directly, the measurement problem went from academic to mission-critical. So Atin made a contrarian bet: instead of using giant LLMs to judge other LLMs, Galileo built Luna, small 1-3B parameter models that run evals at breakthrough latencies of 100 milliseconds and below. If you are excited about how AI actually gets shipped, trusted, and controlled inside real enterprises, this episode is for you.00:00 - Trailer01:14 - From India to Apple, Uber, and Galileo01:34 - Where the name "Galileo" came from02:38 - Building Siri's early knowledge graphs at Apple03:29 - Becoming an architect of Uber's Michelangelo05:15 - Why every AI output is now mission-critical06:45 - How Atin and Vikram zeroed in on Galileo07:42 - "What is a language model?"09:38 - Building the world's first feature store at Uber11:27 - Language models and tokens, explained simply14:19 - Where the observability insight came from15:53 - Quantifying uncertainty and hallucinations16:36 - The first customers and first use case19:15 - How the product evolved from a data scientist tool23:18 - Why ChatGPT changed everything for Galileo23:57 - The enterprise AI adoption curve, 2021 to 202626:35 - Why they built the Luna model28:32 - Turning LLM "writers" into "calculators"28:51 - Attacking the latency problem31:48 - Luna: the modeling and infrastructure innovation33:09 - What evals are, and why they blew up34:26 - The case for small language models36:58 - What "general reasoning" really means40:39 - AI usage is exploding — and why that matters43:08 - Online vs offline: the "it worked on my machine" problem44:33 - The evals flywheel and evals-driven development46:56 - Galileo in a nutshell47:39 - What real agents in production look like today49:30 - A sales intelligence platform, powered by Galileo50:47 - The agent control product52:12 - Building GTM as a hardcore engineer from India54:43 - Garbage in, garbage out: nailing the ICP55:42 - How the pitch changed from customer 1 to 2057:27 - Why Atin switched from CTO to CPO-------------India's talent has built the world's tech—now it's time to lead it.This mission goes beyond startups. By way of Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey is hitting cinemas in July, an epic fantasy action bonanza based on Homer's Odyssey. Its use of scale and practical effects harken back to the movies and stories he grew up on, including this one, Jason and the Argonauts from 1963. Featuring groundbreaking effects from stopmotion and dynomation wizard Ray Harryhausen, he considers it the pinnacle of his work, with the giant bronze statue Talos, the seven headed Hydra and of course the skeleton battle sequence. Are you feeling entirely out of it today? Good, because so are we. This week, Carrie and Ryan kick things off with a loopy chat about expensive lattes, feral hogs, and questionable laundry room AC installations before diving into the deep waters of personal transformation. Carrie shares her recent journey through heartache, the reality of long-term grief, and how Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now is helping her break old habits of external control. We also get painfully honest about the struggle to find professional support, navigating bad therapists, and the therapeutic art of treating your journal like a daily garbage dump.Key Takeaways from This Episode:The Cost of Comfort: From six-dollar Starbucks lattes to why the Pacific Northwest isn't built for 80-degree weather. The "Garbage Dump" Journal: Why morning pages and intuitive expression give your ego a break from overthinking.Navigating the Bad Advice: Standing in your sovereignty when professional support feels cold or harmful (and why Ryan thinks a balloon might be a cheaper alternative). The Forty-Year Blip: Putting life's chapters into perspective as your kids grow up and new doors open.Resources Mentioned:The Power of Now by Eckhart TolleThe Artist's Way (Morning Pages) by Julia Cameron
Netflix just dropped its newest thriller, The Marked Woman (La Desconocida), and it is absolute garbage from start to finish. We spent nearly two hours watching this film and we honestly still have zero idea what the actual plot was supposed to be! The script completely fails to explain who these characters are or why we should care about them, leaving the entire story feeling incredibly messy, confusing, and underdeveloped. Save your time and do not fall for the hype because this movie just completely sucked. Check out our completely honest, unfiltered review to find out why this is an absolute skip, and let us know in the comments if you were just as confused as we were!

That's right, we're taking a look at The Flash (2023), which aimed to be both a love letter to and the end of the Zack Snyder DC Universe, while also serving as an introduction to James Gunn's DCU. All your favourites are back: Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, and Adam West as Batman, along with Wonder Woman, Aquaman, a pretty solid interpretation of Supergirl from Sasha Calle, and Ezra Miller's The Flash, I guess, if you're into that kind of thing. And it's awful. A viral video of a woman dumping trash on a NYC sidewalk to steal a Knicks themed trash can, is no longer employed with JP Morgan Chase. 40-year-old Angie Baez has been identified and is now being viciously mocked online after the video went viral on TikTok following the Knicks victory parade. Baez has since returned the trash can to the city, but should she have lost her job and her reputation over this incredibly poor and stupid decision to take home a souvenir? Every day, we throw things away, only to be forgotten forever. But society didn't always work in the same way. In this episode, we speak with University of Chicago scholar and anthropologist Sarah Newman to discuss her book, Unmaking Waste: New Histories of Old Things. An archaeologist by training, Newman discusses the history of trash across time—from the ancient Mayan civilization through today's disposable culture. She argues that other societies valued objects much more deeply, reusing and recycling items in innovative ways. But will we ever return to this kind of zero-waste mentality? Newman argues that true sustainability requires a radical, systemic overhaul of how products are designed, valued and dismantled. She challenges us to look beyond the recycling bin and imagine a world where waste isn't just managed, but systematically unmade if we are to genuinely rethink our relationship with garbage and reshape our future. It's time to enter the universe of Earth-38, more commonly referred to as The Arrowverse. Amazingly we're haven't really covered much of this in Caravan Of Garbage and the Supergirl 2015 series seems a good a place as any. This version again sees the character of Kara Zor-El arrive from Krypton a little late to encounter a fully grown Superman and finds herself directionless despite having all the powers all of the time. Blending a bit of The Flash/Arrow with the likes of Alley McBeal/The Devil Wears Prada it definitely does its own thing for good or ill or for middling results whilst also managing to introduce characters like Martian Manhunter, Bizarro Supergirl, Tyler Hoechlin's Superman, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson, Brainiac, Maxwell Lord, Lex Luthor and more! Its time to return to Earth-167! Which you would obviously know as the universe of Smallville, the smash hit ten season long Superman original series that managed to introduce EVERY. SINGLE. DC. CHARACTER. before Clark Kent decides to put on the suit. This time we're going to be covering the storyline of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl as played by Laura Vandervoort introduced in Season 7. And we've discovered so much more about this show including how many character get clones or are clones (it's a lot which is exciting). It's absolutely bizarre that the first live action adaptation of Starship Troopers from director Paul Verhoeven bombed as badly as it did. Not only that but critics also seemed to have completely missed the not very subtle social commetary in relation to the rise of facism in western society. Now, for the most part I hope, people seem to know better and this movie is recognised for both its satirical nature and incredible action sequences.
