Its time to return to Earth-167! Which you would obviously know as the universe of Smallville, the smash hit ten season long Superman original series that managed to introduce EVERY. SINGLE. DC. CHARACTER. before Clark Kent decides to put on the suit. This time we're going to be covering the storyline of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl as played by Laura Vandervoort introduced in Season 7. And we've discovered so much more about this show including how many character get clones or are clones (it's a lot which is exciting). Most founders are on one of two extremes when it comes to AI: either completely overwhelmed and frozen, or trying to bolt AI onto everything at once. Neither works. In this episode, Jeff Mains sits down with Jenna Nelson, nationally recognized AI strategist and founder of Her AI Agency, to explore what intentional AI adoption actually looks like — and why getting it right starts long before you ever open a single tool.Jenna introduces her Align, Automate, Appear framework, a practical three-step system for implementing AI in a way that actually creates leverage instead of chaos. She breaks down why broken processes shouldn't be handed to AI (they'll just break faster), why tool-hopping is costing founders more than they realize, and why the businesses that implement AI strategically right now will leave everyone else behind in the next two years. If you're trying to figure out where AI actually fits inside your business without wasting money, time, or your sanity, this episode delivers a grounded, practical roadmap.Key Takeaways4:23 — **Most founders are at one of two extremes:** Completely afraid to start, or trying to AI-everything at once. The real strategy lives in between — choosing specific, appropriate use cases rather than avoiding AI or using it indiscriminately.5:33 — **A broken process is not the right fit for AI.** AI is great for repeatable, well-ironed-out tasks. If your process is already broken, AI will just accelerate how quickly it breaks. Fix the process first, then automate it. 11:19 — **There's a two-sided responsibility model with AI.** The AI is responsible for execution — but you are responsible for giving it context, parameters, guardrails, and training. Garbage in, garbage out. The quality of your inputs determines the quality of your outcomes. 6:53 — **The barriers facing female founders in AI:** Three compounding factors — cultural isolation from the "tech bro" ecosystem, less discretionary time per week, and only ~5% of funding going to women-led businesses — create a meaningful gap in AI adoption that Jenna is working to close. 14:13 — **One well-trained tool beats eight half-used ones.** Shiny object syndrome — jumping from ChatGPT to Claude to Gemini when results disappoint — almost always means the problem isn't the tool. It's the lack of training, context, and consistency. Pick your workhorse and go deep. 20:17 — **Voice AI for small law firms: a real-world example.** Small law firms were getting destroyed on social media for not calling people back — not because they didn't care, but because case volume was overwhelming. Voice AI now handles intake, lead filtering, and appointment setting, freeing attorneys to do attorney work. 39:21 — **Start with one workflow.** Don't try to automate everything at once. Find the one repetitive task — especially anything you're doing yourself at 2 AM — and start there. Once you see the improvement, compound it to the next step and the next department. 41:12 — **Jenna's Align, Automate, Appear framework:** Align first — get your brand, SOPs, and processes documented before touching any AI tool. Then automate the repeatable tasks. Then use the time you've freed up to Appear: show up as the face of your brand, network, be on stages, talk to customers. 42:35 — **The "Appear" stage is about visibility in a changed world.** Ranking on Google is no longer enough. Your audience is now searching Perplexity, TikTok, YouTube, and AI assistants. Content needs to be built in a query-and-answer format to stay discoverable as the search landscape shifts away from keyword dominance. 43:54 — **Google's dominance is ending.** Search behavior is fragmenting across AI platforms and social media. Founders who align their content strategy now for this new reality will maintain visibility; those who don't will quietly disappear from discoverability.Tweetable Quotes"A broken process is not the right fit for AI. AI is great for a repeatable, well-ironed-out process — something boring that you're doing repetitively. If it's already broken, AI will just make it a more broken process, faster." — Jenna Nelson"There's a two-sided responsibility model with AI. There's what the AI is responsible for, and there's what YOU are responsible for. Those pieces are just as important as what the AI is doing." — Jenna Nelson"One tool that you train really well — even if it's not the most powerful tool — will serve you far better than eight different tools you're hopping between without carrying over context." — Jenna Nelson"It may feel okay right now to not have AI in your business. But think about two years from now. Your competitors are going to leave you behind if you don't start adapting." — Jenna Nelson"The goal of Align, Automate, Appear is to move you through a process that creates space and creates time — so you can go be the face of your brand and do the things only humans can do." — Jenna Nelson"Everything lives in the founder's brain, which is great. But I need it on paper and documented to train AI to do what you do." — Jenna Nelson"AI is going to help us develop better human relationships in some cases — purely because we're removing the places where it just doesn't need a human touch." — Jenna NelsonSaaS Leadership Lessons1. Strategy first, tools second. The most common AI mistake isn't choosing the wrong tool — it's skipping strategy altogether. Before you implement anything, document your brand, your processes, and your SOPs. AI can only be as good as the context you give it. Alignment must come before automation.2. Fix before you automate. Handing a broken process to AI doesn't fix it — it amplifies the dysfunction at scale. The work of identifying where leads fall through the cracks, where workflows are undefined, and where knowledge lives only in someone's head is not busywork. It is the prerequisite to any meaningful AI adoption.3. Depth beats breadth with AI tools. Switching platforms every time results disappoint is one of the costliest habits founders have. The context, training, and institutional knowledge built inside a well-used AI tool is genuinely hard to replicate. Commit to your workhorse, go deep, and resist the urge to chase the next release.4. Human judgment isn't optional — it's the product. AI handles volume; humans handle nuance. The leaders who win with AI aren't the ones who automate everything — they're the ones who identify precisely where human judgment, relationship, and trust are irreplaceable, and then protect that space fiercely while letting AI handle everything else.5. Your incentive structures must evolve with AI. If your team's performance metrics reward call volume and AI is handling the simple calls, your best people will look like they're underperforming. AI adoption requires a review of how you measure success. Metrics built for a manual world will misrepresent and demotivate a team working in an AI-enabled one.6. Visibility has new rules. Google-first content strategy is no longer sufficient. Your customers are searching Perplexity, asking ChatGPT, browsing TikTok, and watching YouTube. Build your content in a query-and-answer format, show up across the platforms where your audience actually spends time, and treat discoverability as a multi-channel leadership responsibility — not just an SEO checkbox.Guest Resourcesjenna@heraigency.comheraigency.comhttps://www.facebook.com/herAIgencyhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/jennalnelson/Episode SponsorThe Futureproof Series - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfkXKUPZ5xuOqMPR7_gzGybncTtavyR1NThe Captain's KeysSmall Fish, Big Pond – https://smallfishbigpond.com/ Use the promo code ‘SaaSFuel'Champion Leadership Group – https://championleadership.com/SaaS Fuel ResourcesWebsite - https://championleadership.com/Jeff Mains on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffkmains/Twitter - https://twitter.com/jeffkmainsFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/thesaasguy/Instagram - https://instagram.com/jeffkmains

In this Q&A episode, I answer questions about how to train for varied competitive distances without getting pulled in too many directions, explain my compelling stance on avoiding coffee (and NSAIDs), and give a plug for Dr. Doug McGuff’s “Big 5” total-body workout—a simple, highly effective way to stay strong with just one workout per week. I also share thoughts on how corporations like Whole Foods Market and PF Chang’s continue to sell plenty of crap despite their healthy reputations, discuss the magic of Zone 1 walking for building awesome aerobic fitness, and explain one of the best ways to tell if you’re doing too much strength training. Hint: you shouldn’t be getting sore. These are practical, everyday insights you can use right away to simplify your training, improve your health, and avoid some common mistakes. TIMESTAMPS: Jack, age 60, asks about his running goals. He says he is confused about what Brad says the parameters should be. [01:11] Jack has another question about coffee. Is having that stimulant in the morning helpful for your overall well-being as an athlete? [07:38] Another listener asks: Should I take my high intensity interval training, my strength training like Dr. Doug McGruff's Big Five and a basically walking approach to races? [15:45] Some comments from YouTube include this with Brad's comment: How long should you sprint to achieve all the health benefits? Brad's answer: All your entire life. [17:56] Monica initiates a discussion on the industrial seed oils being used rather than butter in restaurants and even Whole Foods and P.F. Changs. [18:50] Anthony asks about building up aerobic fitness by walking. Brad's response is thatthe aerobic base is built at the lower exercise intensities where your body has sufficient oxygen to develop and fine tune your mitochondrial function [27:00] Chad experiences soreness after trying to complete body weight exercises every other day to failure. Brad answers: If you have recurring soreness from your strength training regimen, you are most certainly overdoing it. [30:48] Dr. Doug McGruff's book, Body by Science, has a great regimen of five big workouts to do once a week. [32:22] Chad is also asking about his schedule for training. You want to have ebbs and flows in your schedule such that you have built in downtime and you always respect the importance of intuition and adjusting on the fly. Dust off your pagers and grab a Surge soda! This week, Dave and Rob are hopping into the time machine and dialing the coordinates to June 9th, 1996. The box office was dominated by Mission: Impossible, the Macarena was slowly taking over the planet, and the Billboard Hot 100 was a wild mix of legendary hip-hop, R&B royalty, alt-rock, and powerhouse vocalists What makes this specific week so legendary is the sheer, whiplash-inducing sonic contrast sharing real estate on the charts. It was a bizarre and beautiful era where the mournful, rapid-fire hip-hop harmonies of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and 2Pac's aggressive West Coast swagger sat side-by-side with the pristine, sweeping adult contemporary ballads of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. Throw in the raw acoustic storytelling of Tracy Chapman, Alanis Morissette's alt-rock bite, and a rising, inescapable bilingual novelty dance craze like the Macarena, and you get a snapshot of a musical landscape that was wildly fragmented yet universally massive Chapters 00:00 - Pagers, Surge, and the Macarena: Welcome to 1996 2:10 - Remembering Peabo Bryson and Our Influencer Status 4:07 - Graduating into 1996's Wildly Fragmented Music Scene 9:22 - Diving Into the Billboard Hot 100: Cuts & Honorable Mentions 13:15 - "5:00" by Nonchalant: A 90s Hip Hop Gem 18:36 - "Sweet Dreams" by La Bouche: Eurodance 1996 22:11 - "Tres Delinquentes": West Coast Latin Rap's Breakthrough 26:37 - "Old Man and Me": Hootie's Underrated Sophomore Album 30:25 - Kicking Off our Best of 1996 Billboard Top 10 31:27 - Everclear's "Heart Spark Dollar Sign": An Interracial Love Story 35:00 - Coolio's "1,2,3,4": A Fun Summer Jam 38:57 - Dishwalla's "Counting Blue Cars": Mid-90s Post Grunge Classic 42:36 - Garbage's "Only Happy When It Rains": A 90s Rock Anthem 46:25 - Lenny Kravitz's "Can't Get You Off My Mind" 49:52 - Goo Goo Dolls "Name": A Chart-Topping Personal Ballad 57:13 - Brandy's "Sittin' Up In My Room": A Teen Infatuation Anthem 59:50 - The Tony Rich Project's "Nobody Knows": Country Crossover Hit 1:05:12 - Tracy Chapman's "Give Me One Reason": A Bluesy Career Revitalizer 1:08:04 - Smashing Pumpkins' "1979": The Quintessential Gen X Song 1:10:08 - Snapple, Clearly Canadian, and Our 1996 Billboard List Review Playlists: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3IEysWlUdIzxLhnrSmu1bx?si=DVgK8cegRq-FqwVtoZGlqQ Apple:https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/billboard-hot-100-june-9th-1996/pl.u-76oN9NpFNz2Y05?ls Amazon: Click HERE to access the Amazon playlist for this episode https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/1996-06-15/ Connect with Totally 80s and 90s Recall Website: https://bleav.com/shows/totally-80s-and-90s-recall/ Email: 80s90srecall@gmail.com Voicemail: (509) 426-4542 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/80s90srecall Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. I challenge the idea that all content has value just because people are consuming it. Most of what gets published today is designed to grab attention, not create results, and once you're done consuming it, there's nothing useful left behind. I explain the difference between content that entertains and content that creates action, growth, and real-world outcomes. The goal is not to fill your mind with more information but to take in ideas that make you think, act, and improve. If what you're consuming isn't helping you move forward, it's probably just noise. Overcoming Loss & Fighting Epilepsy With Music | Michael Gomoll Joey Gomoll died in 2010, just shy of his 5th birthday, after battling a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet's Syndrome his entire life. Upon his passing, his family started a charity called Joey's Song to help raise money to fund research grants focused on finding treatments and cures for rare, intractable, pediatric epilepsies. In the 15-plus years since Joey's death, Joey's Song has grown from a few acoustic guitars in a sports bar to a multi-day concert series featuring Grammy winners and Rock n Roll Hall of Famers (Members of bands like Cheap Trick, Guns N Roses, The Go-Go's, The Bangles, Tears For Fears, Garbage, Portugal. The Man, Goo Goo Dolls, Eve 6, Everclear and many more). This amazing collection of musicians gathers every January in Madison, WI. They volunteer their time and talent, and form a series of supergroups throughout the weekend for a one-of-a-kind concert event.Since its inception, Joey's Song has been a part of over $ 2 million raised and has had over 10,000 attendees in just the last two years.Links:https://www.joeyssong.org/https://www.instagram.com/joeyssongTagspodcast for creatives, creative podcast, podcast creator interviews, professional podcast, creative podcasts, podcast host interviews, creative podcast ideas,Child Loss, epilepsy,Event Management,Family,Fundraising,Live Music,Music Festivals,Music Interviews,Music Production,Overcoming AdversitySupport PEG by checking out our Sponsors:Download and use Newsly for free now from www.newsly.me or from the link in the description, and use promo code “GHOST” and receive a 1-month free premium subscription. The best tool for getting podcast guests:https://podmatch.com/signup/phantomelectricghostSubscribe to our Instagram for exclusive content:https://www.instagram.com/expansive_sound_experiments/Subscribe to our YouTube https://youtube.com/@phantomelectricghost?si=rEyT56WQvDsAoRprRSShttps://anchor.fm/s/3b31908/podcast/rssSubstackhttps://substack.com/@phantomelectricghost?utm_source=edit-profile-page

For more than six decades, the United States has tried to reshape communist-ruled Cuba through sanctions, diplomacy and political pressure. Now, President Donald Trump is pursuing a tougher approach, arguing increased economic pressure can succeed where previous efforts have failed. But as Washington tightens sanctions and Havana blames the United States for deepening hardship, ordinary Cubans are once again caught in the middle.
How much does a banana cost for you? At Trader Joe's they may be 26 cents (maybe a bit more for organic). At Whole Foods they may be around 70 cents. But a banana costs relatively the same amount wherever you go, right? It's a difference of a few cents. Copywriting is a not a banana. And, even if we agree on that, I don't think you're going to like this episode of the Build Your Copywriting Business podcast. See, we hear all the time, “I found this pricing guide and it's really helpful!” But what you may not realize is those guides are actually hurting you. It's presented as an easy solution to a complex problem: how much do I charge for an email? Or a homepage? Or an about page? I hate to break it: there's not an easy button for this. These guides are a marketing gimmick to put $$$dollar signs$$$ in your eyes and get you to click or opt-in or buy the program. Ready to hear me out? Parents, think of the brains of your children and teens like you think about your email accounts. If you are like me, your email box is pounded with more junk, spam, scams, and phishing schemes than legitimate, trustworthy, and truthful communication. I hope that as we've become more experienced we've learned how to recognize, block, and delete all the garbage that floods our inboxes literally hour-by-hour. Wisdom and discernment lead us to separate the good from the bad, saving us from wasting time, effort, money, and even our very lives on things that will undo us. To protect them from passively loading their brains with the bad stuff, we need to run interference for our kids by limiting and monitoring their screen-time And, we must fill their brains with the Truth that brings life and by which all things can be evaluated. Train them to embrace and practice biblical wisdom and discernment. Equip them to live now and for the rest of their lives to the glory and honor of Jesus Christ!

About a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the food system, but the public conversation about food and climate keeps getting stuck at the two ends of the chain — what farmers grow on one side, what consumers buy on the other. The middle of that chain — processing, packaging, distribution, storage — is where most of the practical climate levers actually live, and it is the part you almost never see. Brendan Niemira, Chief Science and Technology Officer at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), wants us to look there. Brendan spent more than 25 years at the USDA Agricultural Research Service leading a team of 30-plus scientists developing non-thermal treatments — cold plasma, high-intensity light, irradiation — that kill foodborne pathogens on produce, meat, poultry, and shellfish without cooking the food. He stepped into the IFT role on December 1, 2025, and joins Sustainability In Your Ear to walk through IFT's new white paper, Food Science & Technology Solutions for Mitigating and Adapting to Climate Change, which lays out a roadmap covering circular bioeconomy practices, AI-enabled supply chain resilience, reusing food waste, precision fermentation, and cellular agriculture.Brendan describes food safety as a three-legged stool — exclusion, containment, and eradication — and notes that in a warming world the first leg is getting harder. Pathogens travel further, persist longer, and show up in places they didn't used to, with warming oceans already expanding Vibrio bacteria in shellfish that previously didn't carry them. That reframes food safety as climate adaptation work — and it lands at the moment when federal research capacity is being thinned out. The conversation then opens into the ultra-processed food debate, where IFT is pressing the case that nutritional quality, not processing intensity, should define dietary guidance, because pasteurized milk, shelf-stable beans, and a deep-fried snack cake are all "processed," and collapsing them into a single category hobbles the very technologies that extend shelf life and cut food waste. Brendan closes on the structural shift coming next: humans domesticated about 50 animal species over 25,000 years of agriculture, but precision fermentation — built on whole genome sequencing and metabolomics — opens up trillions of possible microbial community combinations, each able to turn side streams and waste streams into dairy proteins, vitamins, flocculants for water treatment, and food ingredients. Garbage in, gumdrops out, as he puts it. It's absolutely bizarre that the first live action adaptation of Starship Troopers from director Paul Verhoeven bombed as badly as it did. Not only that but critics also seemed to have completely missed the not very subtle social commetary in relation to the rise of facism in western society. Now, for the most part I hope, people seem to know better and this movie is recognised for both its satirical nature and incredible action sequences. In this episode of the Scrum.org Community Podcast, Dave West is joined by Tony Hinkley, Chief Technology Officer for Avanade UK. Tony brings a rare combination of perspectives: seasoned engineer, Professional Scrum Trainer, and senior technology leader helping some of the world's largest organizations navigate AI adoption. Together, Dave and Tony dig into what AI is really doing to product teams, Scrum practices, and knowledge work at large. This is an honest, experienced, and energizing conversation about where we are, where we're headed, and what it means for everyone who cares about delivering value professionally and sustainably.Key TakeawaysAI has disrupted professional services more than almost any other sector because knowledge, the core asset of consulting and IT services, is rapidly becoming a commodity. That's a wake-up call for all knowledge workers.Scrum Teams are seeing real productivity gains from AI but those gains have moved the bottleneck. It's no longer about how fast developers can write code. It's about the quality of intent, requirements, and context being handed to the tools. The principles behind Scrum haven't changed but how you implement them must. Your Definition of Done, for example, may now be enforced by an agent rather than a person. Are your standards clear and documented enough for that to work well?Specialists get significantly better results from AI than generalists. First-principles thinking, clean code habits, and a strong sense of what "good" looks like are more valuable now than ever, not less.Context is the new currency. Giving AI tools access to well-structured, well-governed organizational data and standards will unlock far more value than simply upgrading to the latest model.Leaders face a real choice: use AI to cut costs, or use it to grow. Tony's strong recommendation is to invest freed-up capacity into the parts of your product organization that have always been under-resourced, strategy, ideation, stakeholder engagement, and product thinking.Data governance isn't a dirty word anymore, it's a competitive advantage. Organizations that get serious about data quality, classification, and security will be the ones that get the most from AI. Garbage in still means garbage out, and the consequences are bigger than ever.Mid-market companies should pay close attention. AI is leveling the playing field in a meaningful way, giving smaller organizations the ability to punch well above their weight in product delivery. If you're feeling uncertain about your place in an AI-enabled world, start by embracing the tools. As Tony puts it: AI won't take your job, but someone who knows how to use it well might.

**It's Time to Take the Garbage Out***NAW-T-BOY (The Official Spencer Pratt for Mayor Club Remix)* Nobody asked for this. 🤷 And that's exactly why it had to happen. When [Spencer Pratt](https://mayorpratt.com/) - yes, *that* Spencer Pratt - watched his Pacific Palisades home burn to the ground in 2025 while City Hall offered thoughts, prayers, and another committee meeting, something snapped. The reality TV villain became the most unlikely political force in Los Angeles history. And when he started calling Mayor Karen Bass "Karen *Basura*" - that's Spanish for garbage, in case you missed it - NAW-T-BOY had only one possible response. 🗑️ A club banger. Obviously. **"It's Time to Take the Garbage Out"** is equal parts campaign rally, dancefloor destruction, and unhinged civic commentary. The kind of track that makes you throw your hands up whether you're voting for the guy or not, because the beat doesn't care about your party affiliation. 🙌 The title isn't subtle. It was never meant to be. Trash on the streets of [Lost Angeles](https://spencerpratt.substack.com/p/lost-angeles). Trash in the budget. Trash in the back-room contracts. Karen *Basura* herself. When the city smells like a dumpster fire - literally and politically - somebody's gotta take out the garbage. Why not do it to a filthy house groove? 🏙️ NAW-T-BOY leans all the way in - dropping four-on-the-floor thunder under chants that sound equal parts protest march and after-hours warehouse rave. The drop hits like a wrecking ball through City Hall. The hook is running for office whether you voted for it or not. This one lives rent-free in your head, just like the Homeless Industrial Complex lives rent-free in the city budget. 💸 Every city gets the mayor it deserves. Every mayoral campaign deserves a club banger. 🎧 *"This is not a campaign. It's a mission."...and this is not a remix. It's a movement.* --- #TakeTheGarbageOut #NAWTBOY #SpencerPrattForMayor #KarenBasura #LosAngeles #LAMayor2026 #PrattForMayor #ClubBanger #HouseMusic #PoliticalRemix #LostAngeles #SaveLA #DanceFloor #ClubBangers #HouseHeads #2026Banger #LAMayorsRace #NewMusicMonday #BeatThePoliticians #CameraReadyLA #PrattForMayor2026 #GarbageOut #DJLife #NAWTBOYRemix #ElectionBanger

Stallone, always on the hunt for the next action blockbuster, took a shot at sci-fi in 1993 with the release of Demolition Man. Set in the future of 1996 and then the future of 2032 it pits him against Wesley Snipes' Simon Phoenix having the absolute time of his life. And that's the whole movie real, just an absolute blast from the get go with somewhat accurate depictions of the future mixed in with absolute insanity like the three sea shells situation. Episode Notes The Reckoning: We see Kai Wynn and get angry. Imagine digging a hole and finding your name on the welcome mat. Justen interrupts with some BattleTech news. The Prophets brain-woosh Sisko and tell him about The Reckoning. "I'm an engineer, not a linguist." We have thoughts about the proper handling of ancient artifacts. Pre-doom happy hour? Bashir jinxes it. Will of the prophets, shrug emoji? There is no Kira, only ZUUL. "Just zap her with some chronitons." Wait, is this a Dragonball Z episode? Kira talk-slaps Kai Wynn. We're slapped around the head by the metaphor. The Valiant: SO many red flags in this episode. The Shenandoah, RIP. The Defiant-class to the rescue! Staffed by Red-squad cadets. Obviously what you give teenagers as a punishment for treason is a WARSHIP. The Teens can't shift out of 2nd gear. Space is flat. Nog gets a brevet promotion. Justen gets angry about operational mandate. Main Character Syndrome. Big Damn Hero, subverted. Nog gains command and finally makes the good decision of "let's get out of here". Did you know that Nirvana recorded demos for their breakthrough album “Nevermind” here in Madison? It's true. They recorded with Butch Vig (of Garbage fame) in an unassuming red brick building on East Washington Avenue. In the documentary film “The Smart Studios Story,” local filmmaker and former Smart Studio engineer Wendy Schneider shows just how influential the recording studio was on ‘90s alternative rock. Host Bianca Martin chats with Wendy about the film and the studio's legacy. This episode originally aired on July 7, 2025.
Over the next four weeks we're taking a trip through some classic 1990's science fiction films. An interesting era which still encorporated old school film making techniques like model work, stop motion and rear projection plus early computer generated imagery. This week it's the action classic Total Recall starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone from director Paul Verhoeven not to be confused with the 2012 reboot or the book its based on that has a completely different name and premise. The only logical solution to wrap up our look at the original X-Men trilogy is a updated re-release of our Caravan Of Garbage review from 2019. Sure Bryan Singer is now gone (for now) but luckily Brett "The Rat" Ratner has stepped in to take his place to conclude the stories of Wolverine, Gene Grey, Professor X, Magnet, Storm, Cyclops and many more characters that would continue to never die and re-appear in future prequels and sequels. By 2003 superhero movies were well back in vogue. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man from 2002 had become a massive hit, a serious Batman reboot was in the works and of course we got the return of Bryan Singer's (yuck) X-Men franchise with X2: X-Men United. All your favourites are back! Storm, Cyclops, Ice Boy, Rogue, Magnet, Wheels, Gene Grey, all in support of whatever Hugh Jackman's Wolverine wants to do. You know it's gonna be a weird day when the show opens with Rizz realizing his daughter's cheer banquet wasn't “folding chairs and sheet cake” but instead a full-on country club gala requiring a suit, tie, speeches, awards, emotional endurance, and apparently enough rubber chicken to bankrupt a catering company. Nothing says “supportive father” like sitting through four straight hours of banquet politics while pretending not to judge the speeches in your head. From there, the gang dives straight into the viral Busch Stadium incident where fans had to physically stop a guy from potentially falling from the upper deck. The discussion somehow turns into a complete breakdown of dangerous stadium seating, ballpark netting, drunk fan physics, and why Moon believes geese and gravity are America's greatest threats. Which honestly? Fair.Speaking of geese… apparently St. Louis now belongs to them. The crew discusses the annual return of Canada geese nesting season, why those feathered psychopaths become hyper-aggressive this time of year, and how entire college campuses basically surrender to goose gangs every spring. There's talk of fake coyotes, migratory bird treaties, goose chases, and the emotional humiliation of running from an animal that looks like it pays taxes. And because this is somehow still not enough chaos for one funny podcast, the conversation shifts to Yellowstone bear attacks, Mother's Day pressure, and the discovery that Father's Day is mostly just a yearly reminder of unresolved family trauma. Rafe perfectly explains why Father's Day social media posts always feel like passive-aggressive therapy sessions while Mother's Day gets treated like a national holiday requiring military-level planning.Meanwhile, King Scott prepares for his first Mother's Day with a pregnant wife, Moon contemplates fleeing town entirely to avoid gift expectations, and Rizz introduces “The Ralph Rule,” which may or may not destroy families nationwide. Add in deadbeat parents losing passports over unpaid child support, brunch recommendations turning into food obsession, and several near-death stories involving stadium upper decks, and you've got another completely normal day for The Rizzuto Show. This funny podcast continues doing what it does best: mixing weird news, sports chaos, parenting struggles, sarcastic commentary, celebrity-level overreactions, and St. Louis nonsense into one giant comedy blender. Whether you're here for the goose warfare, the Busch Stadium insanity, or the emotional collapse surrounding Mother's Day reservations, this episode delivers the exact kind of daily comedy disaster fans expect from The Rizzuto Show. The internet woke up in full panic mode after Instagram launched a massive bot purge that vaporized millions of followers from celebrities, influencers, and probably your cousin who suddenly became a “fitness entrepreneur” during the pandemic. Kylie Jenner lost 14 million followers in a blink, and suddenly everybody online started acting like follower counts never mattered anyway. Sure, Jan.The gang dives into the chaos of fake followers disappearing, why advertisers are finally cracking down, and how even normal accounts can tell when the bots get exterminated. It's basically robot Hunger Games happening quietly in the background of social media while everybody keeps posting blurry vacation photos and motivational quotes stolen from Pinterest. Then somehow the conversation turns into Angry Birds officially entering the Video Game Hall of Fame. Yes. Angry Birds. The little phone game that destroyed productivity in offices across America is now standing next to gaming legends like Doom and Oregon Trail. The crew debates what games deserve Hall of Fame status, why Guitar Hero absolutely got robbed, and how Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtracks basically raised an entire generation of emotionally confused skateboard kids. There's also a deep dive into concert experiences at the Sphere in Las Vegas, including No Doubt, Metallica, Tool, and the realization that Tool might actually be the perfect Sphere band because nobody in Tool has ever looked interested in being on stage anyway. The visual effects do the heavy lifting while the audience collectively melts into a psychedelic lava lamp.Moon talks about how video games became one of the biggest discovery tools for music, including stories about Story of the Year songs unexpectedly blowing up after landing in racing games and MLB titles. If you ever found your favorite band because you crashed fake cars in Need for Speed, congratulations — you were part of history. This might genuinely be one of the greatest confidence scams ever attempted: a French professor allegedly invents an entire prestigious academic award, buys himself a medal, gathers actual respected intellectuals, and somehow convinces everyone he's basically the LeBron James of language studies. Honestly? Kind of inspirational. The gang immediately realizes that most awards are basically made up anyway, which quickly escalates into creating fake international honors like “The Grand Cross of the Order of the Toasted Ravioli.” Because if you say anything confidently enough with enough gold trim attached to it, people will apparently clap. From there, the show takes a hard left directly into psychological warfare after King Scott introduces one of the most cursed “Would You Rather?” questions in show history: permanent Cheeto fingers… or taste buds in your butt. Yes. Really. The discussion somehow gets worse when Rafe introduces the horrifying concept of “the second tasting,” permanently ruining food, digestion, and probably several listeners' lunch breaks. It's the kind of conversation that could only happen on a daily comedy show powered entirely by sleep deprivation, bad decisions, and unchecked access to microphones.Rafe's E-Memoriam segment also delivers pure chaos this week. The crew says goodbye to Ask Jeeves, the once-beloved internet butler who politely helped people search embarrassing questions before Google became the all-knowing digital overlord living inside everyone's phones. The nostalgia spiral includes Geocities, LimeWire, Rotten Dot Com, terrible internet decisions, and the realization that the early internet somehow survived entirely on flashing skull gifs and confusion.Meanwhile, Rafe continues his quest toward honorary membership in the Blackfoot Nation, which now involves fingerprinting, Canadian bureaucracy, Wayne Gretzky references, and an unexpectedly spiritual trip to a UPS Store kiosk. What should have been a simple government process becomes an epic fantasy journey involving sacred scanners, sweaty palms, and “Hakuna Moscato” novelty packing tape. It's impossible to explain properly because this daily comedy show exists in a dimension where every normal story mutates into folklore by segment three. The episode wraps with real RIPs including Alex Ligertwood from Santana and media giant Ted Turner, proving The Rizzuto Show can somehow balance heartfelt moments alongside conversations about whether your butthole could identify ranch seasoning. If you love comedy podcasts, funny stories, weird news, sarcastic humor, pop culture commentary, St. Louis radio chaos, and hearing grown adults emotionally unravel in real time, this episode delivers everything you could possibly want from a daily comedy show… and several things you absolutely did not ask for.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Scary Scenes Emerge as Cardinals Fan Hangs Off Upper Deck Ledge, Major Accident AvertedCanada geese arrive in St. Louis for nesting season15-year-old, 28-year-old attacked by mother grizzly with cubs in Yellowstone National ParkUS will start revoking passports for thousands of parents who owe child support‘Angry Birds', ‘Silent Hill' and ‘FIFA' added to World Video Game Hall Of FameFrench professor facing probe for creating fake Nobel-style prize - only to award it to himselfMan, 34, Arrested For DWI (Droning While Intoxicated)Tampa officers find beer can in 'Happy Meal' during DUI investigation'Huff and puff and blow his house down': Woman burns down boyfriend's house because she was 'p—ed off' he stole from herTeens drive lawn mower into Target as part of social media stuntGroom arrested moments before wedding for failing to disclose he was registered pedophileSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Cast your mind back to the year 2000. Okay great. And now think about the movie X-Men which introduced the world to the modern superhero movie with the likes of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Patrick Stewarts a bald guy, Ian McKellen as Magnet and Halle Berry as a much underused Storm. And with the likes of James Marsden coming back as Cyclops for Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 this decades old Marvel franchise has never been more relevant. And then there's the Bryan Singer of it all. YUCK.
