Educators & App Enthusiasts Lisa Johnson & Yolanda Barker will be joined by Punflay. Punflay is responsible for a wealth of apps for Prek-High School in multiple formats ranging from books and games to edutainment. In addition to showcasing kid-friendly apps and talking about the design elements in creating apps for education and young children, we will also discuss how apps like frog and rat dissection can benefit children of all ages.
Educators & App Enthusiasts Lisa Johnson & Yolanda Barker will be joined by Dave Wingler, of Futaba. Futaba is part of the InKids family of apps which currently features a list of 8 apps: Flashcards for iPad, Futaba Classroom Games, Puzzle Land, Math Champ, French for Kids, Chinese for Kids, Futaba Word Games, Alphabet Blocks 3D. The app are designed for both language learners and small children. In addition to showcasing kid-friendly apps and talking about the design elements in creating apps for education and young children, we will also discuss the pedgagogy of using the iPad with small children: multi-tasking, hands-on with parents, spotlight search, and learning on the go.

He will be sharing how the district's technology curriculum and assessment has changed with mobile devices and a focus on project-based learning.
