On this episode of Bands In Vans, I'm joined by The Movielife and I Am The Avalanche front man Vinnie Caruana. We discuss Vinnie's introduction to the hardcore and punk scenes in Long Island, the formation of The Movielife, and of course touring with his bands and as a solo artist. In a very special episode of Bands In Vans, I sit down with Jesse Korman, the lead singer of The Number 12 Looks Like You. The Number 12 was the first band that I got to tour with, so it was great to recount those memories with Jesse. We talk about playing local shows in NJ, what it like when people actually started to show up at shows out of state, and other mischief. (As an added bonus, you can sometimes hear my son making noise in the background)

On this episode of Band In Vans I speak to Zach Quinn of the band PEARS. PEARS is a hardcore punk band that comes from New Orleans and formed in 2014.  I talk to Zach about growing up in suburban New Orleans, forming his first band, if a band should first get a local following or just go out on tour, the 'madness' of touring 10 month out of the year, and joining team sleep. 

In this episode, I am joined by Geoff Garlock the former bassist of the band Orchid. Orchid was a band from Amherst, Massachusetts that is considered to be one of the pioneers of screamo. They were active from 1997-2002. We talk about the myth behind the band and their shows, how you shouldn't look forward to an Orchid reunion, and how any band that toured with Panthers got huge. 

In Episode 2 of Bands In Vans, I talk to Jenny Owen Youngs. We discuss touring as a solo artist, the beautiful scenic drives, winning the crowd over, and how to pack successfully for a tour. 

In this episode of Band In Vans, I speak to John Christianson, trumpet player of Reel Big Fish. We discuss life on the road with a band that doesn't stop touring, what it's like to balance a family with tour life, what it was like for Reel Big Fish in the 90s vs. what it is like today, and everything else tour related.
