Some recent conversations inspired me to take a look at gender inequality and bias and how it is experienced today. And I thought it only appropriate to create a podcast around what I found and to release it today, on International Women's Day. So, in this episode, I delve into what gender bias is, how we come to internalize it, and how it affects our lives as women, with a discussion of recent statistics and research.

Finding My Voice Again (unedited episode)

This episode is a little different than the last few. I was asked to do a Ted-type Talk for a local women's entrepreneurs group. I was asked to talk about my experience starting this podcast, and the challenges I've encountered. And I realized that my biggest challenge has been feeling comfortable expressing my opinions, and the fear of rejection that could come as a result. So, instead of hiding, I decided to share this unedited episode with all of you - where that fear comes from and the decisions I have made to work through that fear. I truly hope that this episode resonates with you in some way and that y'all will continue on the crazy journey with me. But, whatever happens, I promise to continue showing up and challenging myself to be open and vulnerable with my opinions.

Do you go to the grocery store with a list? Or do you fly by the seat or your pants (or wander the aisles)? Going in without a list may work for the grocery store, but it's not the best idea for a negotiation. In this episode, I take you through the negotiation guide at erinbaileymoses.mykajabi.com/5things and what information you need to put together before you start negotiating. This is hands down the most important part of ANY negotiation, and when you know what you want, it is a huge boost to your confidence when you get in it. We can use the categories Maslow created to help us think through all the possibilities.

This podcast is about conflict management, but what on earth does that mean?!! In this very first episode, I thought it was only appropriate to talk about what I mean when I say we are talking about conflict management. Not just what the words mean but also what goes in to managing a conflict - what factors do you look at when deciding how to manage a conflict. So, in this episode I talk about the different types of conflict and the different styles of dealing with conflict and how they affect how we handle it.
