Here, choreographer, Heidi Latsky, brings us Soliloquy, a film created from the poetic interweaving of ten movement portraits, which embrace difference and the inherent isolation of being human with fierceness and frankness. The film addresses our propensity to judge people by their physical appearance and defies our preconceptions about dance, revealing virtuosity and beauty in unexpected ways. This is the first of three films being produced by Dance for Film on Location at Montclair State University, a partnership between forward thinking choreographers and filmmakers, which purposes to increase access to dance in the 21st Century.
