“You live, you learn. You love, you learn.”⁣⁣On this episode of Stage Door, we sit down with Jaymes, Tallie, and Chloe from Stone Productions' upcoming NW Ohio premiere of "Jagged Little Pill".⁣⁣Inspired by the legendary music of Alanis Morissette, this isn't the story you might expect. It's not a biography. It's a powerful look at a family that appears perfect on the outside while dealing with the very real struggles hiding underneath.⁣⁣We talk about the impact of Alanis' music, why these songs still connect decades later, and how this show tackles topics like family expectations, identity, relationships, pain, and finding a way forward.⁣⁣Come for the nostalgia. Stay for a story that might hit closer to home than you expect.⁣⁣"Jagged Little Pill" Presented by Stone Productions⁣⁣Show Dates:⁣Friday, July 24, 2026 at 7:30 PM⁣Saturday, July 25 & August 1, 2026 at 7:30 PM⁣Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM⁣⁣Don't miss the NW Ohio premiere of this unforgettable musical.⁣

I Did It Again van Britney Spears. Djeeeeeeez… Hold the Pressure Trust the Vision Start with Development

For this Out Takes, we dedicated it to the return of MDFF aka Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, which is celebrating its 10th year this July in bringing quality films online and in cinema for Melbourne cinephiles that amplify marginalised voices and share stories from here and around the world. One of the LGBTQIA+ documentary's on offer this year is ‘Out Laws’ which follows three queer activist-litigants – Friedel from Namibia, Rosanna from Sri Lanka and Raven from Barbados – as they take their governments to court over the colonial-era laws that still criminalise same-sex intimacy across 60+ countries. The film premiered at BFI Flare in March to a standing ovation and five-star reviews in Screen Daily and will be screening with a selection of queer short films on Sunday July 12 from 5.15pm at Cinema Nova. Our special guest was James Lewis online from London who is the codirector of ‘Out Laws’ and the co-founder of The Good Side and Head of Productions, where he steers the agency's film work. James has 20 years of experience as a producer in TV news, branded content and impact documentary filmmaking. ‘Out Laws’ is James' first feature documentary and is a result of a decade working to support the decriminalisation movement and provided excellent insight and context into this must-see documentary. We followed that up with reviews of two fantastic short films that are also on offer at this year's MDFF; “Sheesh, A Taylor Love Story” that documents Filipino Taylor Swift impersonator Taylor Sheesh and explores how her drag performances have transformed Swiftie fandom into a movement of joy, empowerment, and belonging; and ‘The Last Closet' which is directed by Reese Leigh and explores why the AFL remained the last major sports league without an openly queer male player, and examines inclusion within Australian sports. The post Melbourne Documentary Film Festival (MDFF) with special guest James Lewis for ‘Out Laws’ appeared first on Out Takes.

Hey daar lieve luisteraar, Lou hier. Hold the pressure. Keep the vision. Alle liefs, LOU CEO & Creative Director van Universes Studios aka ESB

It is a privilege to welcome Rebecca Roberts and Kurt Szarka to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.  Rebecca began her career as a singer and a dancer for Katherine Jenkins' Believe: Live from the O2 concert. She started in shorts such as Always at Home and Altered Memories before moving on to films such as Pompeii and Life. Rebecca also lent her voice as various characters in the Assassin's Creed video game franchise and appeared on The CW's The Flash (January Gilmore) and Legends of Tomorrow (Queen Anne of Austria), and the popular web series, Evolve: Year Zero (Rawny).  Kurt spent his younger years playing sports and always had a passion for the creative arts. Szarka discovered his love for acting at an early age when he played Scrooge in his grade six school production of Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol.” After studying Economics and Finance at University, he went to work on the trading floor, but his passion for acting never left and he continued to study acting in his free time. Finally, he took the leap, moved out to the West Coast, and quickly began working full-time in film and television. Kurt appeared in the CW's Batwoman, where he portrayed the famed DC comics character, Slam Bradley. He then worked for the CW again in their hit series Riverdale.  Kurt also appears in the Netflix series Maid and the Netflix Christmas Feature “Love Hard.” In addition, he appeared in Syfy's Wynonna Earp, V.C. Andrews' Heaven mini-series for Lifetime, and the movies Sweet as Pie and Fishing for Love. For Hallmark, Kurt has appeared in Picture Perfect Mysteries: Newlywed and Dead and Falling for You.Rebecca Roberts and Kurt Szarka are also the co-founders of ReadyMade Productions. Today's podcast is brought to you by a couple of big cheeses, a couple of real movers and shakers in the audio game. Because Elis and John have redefined what it means to give a keynote presentation at a podcast industry event.Elis will be pushing back on whatever you say, and John won't be wearing no lanyard for no one; he's the Lou Reed of the podcast-first-radio-second generation. But what of Producer Dave? Well he's been banned from doing any DIY (read: superglueing things to walls) by his wife, so that's freed up a lot of his time.Elsewhere there's some intense Cymru Connecting, and a controversial crisp-based Made Up Game involving everyone's favourite owner of a bell tower.Got an important message to send Canope Fibbs, the CEO of Rubadubdub Productions? Send it to us at hello@elisandjohn.com, and we'll make sure he gets it.For lots of exclusive EJJR #content, join our Patreon at patreon.com/elisandjohn.For weekly visual highlights, head to youtube.com/@elisandjohn.For everything else, head to elisandjohn.com.The Elis James and John Robins Show is a Significant Production.
