Send us a textOn the latest Stories to Create podcast, Cornell Bunting sits down with Stacy Lee-Williams, CEO of King Leo Productions, for a powerful and inspiring conversation. Together, they reflect on pivotal moments from her journey as she shares what truly makes her—and her company—exceptional.Stacy opens up about launching King Leo Productions over ten years ago, never imagining it would grow into the dynamic, full-scale production company it is today—one fueled by creativity, resilience, and community. A Caribbean immigrant who was born in Guyana, raised in a rich cultural environment, and later moved from New York to Southwest Florida, Stacy speaks candidly about longing for connection to her culture, music, and people.Rather than conforming to industry norms, she chose to challenge them. Stacy produced events many competitors considered unrealistic for the local demographic—flying in international artists while creating platforms for local creatives to shine. That fearless vision and the ability to turn bold ideas into reality, no matter the size, became the hallmark of King Leo Productions. Her commitment goes far beyond production—it's about purpose. Stacy emphasizes the importance of serving both community and clients with intention, excellence, and heart. While tools and resources are important, she believes it's the team's ability to craft seamless, unforgettable experiences that truly sets King Leo Productions apart. She also expresses deep pride in her team, acknowledging their passion, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Every event, she says, reflects not only technical expertise but a shared commitment to delivering something extraordinary. As King Leo Productions continues to evolve, Stacy looks ahead with excitement—focused on pushing creative boundaries, innovating boldly, and setting new standards in the event planning and production industry.Tune in to hear Stacy share her full story—from her roots in Guyana to growing up immersed in Caribbean culture, her move to New York, and ultimately building a brand that continues to elevate voices, culture, and community. Whim Productions' World Premiere of "My Kid's Christmas Program" is Chaotic Holiday Fun Whim Productions, KC's LGBTQ+ theater company, is putting on a holiday program! But in My Kid's Christmas Program, written by Kevin King, the tinsel's tangled, the pageant's off the rails, and Miss Peach's Academy has lost its auditorium. Forced to relocate to Whim Space after a series of mishaps, the “kids” (played by adults) are ready to belt and blunder their way through a holiday pageant like no other. It's the holiday program you remember... just with more sass, irreverence, and emotional baggage. A delightfully twisted immersive experience for the grown-ups who survived grade-school pageants. VULPES BASTILLE is an artist-run space in Kansas City's East Crossroads that houses twelve studios and hosts monthly exhibitions selected through an open call. Located in a 100-year-old renovated dancehall, Vulpes Bastille offers an expansive platform for the community to create and display work, with an emphasis on experimental projects, emerging voices, and students. Vulpes Bastille has remained a fortress for Kansas City's creative community since 2012. This month, Vulpes Bastille proudly presents two new exhibitions Please Don't Touch the Art and At Least You Can't Be Sad If There Are Balloons. Please Don't Touch the Art, featuring more than 50 staff members of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art organized by Nora Snyder. Please Don't Touch the Art is a group exhibition featuring more than fifty employees of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. From security guards and custodians to administrative assistants and art handlers, the staff of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art keeps the museum running smoothly for the benefit of the people of Kansas City. But what the public doesn't get to see is that members of the museum staff often harbor artistic talents of their own. Naturally, the museum draws a community of caretakers who love art and devote their lives to it in more than one sense. Organized by artist and museum employee Nora Snyder, Please Don't Touch the Art showcases the diverse and extraordinary talents of the NAMA staff. Currently on view Closing Reception: Monday, December 22, 6 - 9 pm At Least You Can't Be Sad If There Are Balloons, a solo exhibition of 17 self-portrait paintings by Corey Green. In my work, I use balloons as a powerful symbol of the pressure and trials that have shaped my life—experiences that have stretched me to my limits and at times, deflated me. Balloons, filled with air, reflect moments of tension and build-up, but they also speak to the inevitable deflation that follows. For me, the image of a balloon is both a metaphor for resilience and vulnerability: the pressure of life pushing me to expand, only to be followed by the emptiness and raw exposure that comes when that pressure subsides or bursts. My work is an invitation to reflect on these moments of transformation—how pressure, release, and deflation are not signs of weakness, but steps in a continual process of transformation and survival. Currently on view Closing Reception: Wednesday, December 17, 6:30 - 8:30 pm (on view until Monday, December 22) Both shows will be on view through December 22, with gallery hours from Sundays 1-4 pm. You can also email us to schedule an appointment. On Wednesday, December 17 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, we invite you to Corey Green's half-birthday party and the closing reception for At least you can't be sad if there are balloons. In this episode of No Holding Back, we take the gloves off and ask the questions everyone's thinking but few are saying out loud. Will the Supreme Court rule us — or doom us? As Donald Trump's legal battles collide with America's highest court, we examine whether the justices will rule against him, shield him, or fundamentally reshape the country in the process. Has the Court become a rubber stamp in the Trump era, or is that claim overstated? We also put Chief Justice John Roberts under the microscope. Is he successfully protecting the Court's independence, or has his leadership fallen short as public trust erodes?Joining us for this no-nonsense conversation is Erwin Chemerinsky, one of the nation's most respected constitutional law scholars and Dean of Berkeley Law. With his expert insight, we cut through the noise to understand what's really at stake — legally, politically, and democratically. No spin. No holding back. Just the hard truths about power, the Court, and America's future. All this and more on No Holding Back with Susan Estrich.Sign up to receive updates by email when a new episode drops at: www.noholdingback.fm/Produced by 1985 Productions

Some gear becomes famous. The Lexicon 224 became mythology. In this episode, Chris and Jody cannonball straight into the digital reverb that drenched the '80s in shimmering glory—and, honestly, made half of your favorite songs sound way cooler than they had any right to. They kick things off with the “how the heck did this thing happen?” history lesson—because the 224 didn't just show up; it crashed the party and told every plate, spring, and echo chamber to scoot aside. Suddenly studios had huge, glossy halls and silky plates without needing, you know… actual halls or plates. Then the boys take you on a tour of the 224's delightfully bizarre controls. Some make perfect sense. Others feel like they were designed by a caffeinated time traveler. But Chris and Jody break it all down—how each control shapes your sound, how not to accidentally “blast your vocals into space,” and which settings make drums sound like Thor is doing sound design. They share the tricks they keep coming back to—classic vocal treatments, impossible-sounding ambiences, drum magic—and yes, the inevitable nonsense that sneaks into every episode. Plus, the weekly Friday Finds, because what's an episode without a new toy to crave? If you've ever wondered why producers still chase this reverb like it's vintage Pokémon, this episode will answer it… and probably make you want a 224 of your own (hardware or plugin—we won't tell).

That we would partner with the big three wholesalers that control 98% of the sale of drugs - that we would partner with the big three PBMs that control 85% of prescriptions. In this episode, we travel to the remote Uintah Basin of northeastern Utah to investigate one of the most intensively studied paranormal locations on Earth: Skinwalker Ranch. This 512-acre property has been the site of documented UFO encounters, cattle mutilations, shapeshifting creatures, and phenomena so bizarre that even the United States government spent $22 million trying to understand it.Our story begins with the ancient warnings of the Ute tribe, who have forbidden their people from setting foot on this land for generations. We explore the legend of the Navajo skinwalkers—malevolent witches said to be capable of transforming into animals—and the territorial conflict that allegedly led to a curse being placed on this remote stretch of Utah high desert. At the heart of the narrative is the Sherman family, who purchased the ranch in 1994 expecting to build a quiet life raising cattle. What they found instead was eighteen months of relentless terror. We detail their first encounter with an enormous wolf that couldn't be killed despite being shot multiple times at point-blank range. We examine the systematic mutilation of their cattle, animals discovered with surgical-precision wounds and not a single drop of blood. We recount the night their three dogs were incinerated by a glowing blue orb, reduced to greasy black lumps in seconds. The investigation deepens when billionaire Robert Bigelow buys the property in 1996 and deploys PhD-level scientists through the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS). A disturbing pattern emerges: the phenomena seem to anticipate the researchers' movements and deliberately evade documentation. We describe the March 1997 encounter in which investigators witnessed a massive creature with glowing yellow eyes perched in a tree, and a dog-headed beast on the ground below—both vanishing after being fired upon. We revisit the August 1997 portal sighting, where a ring of orange light opened in midair and a dark humanoid figure stepped through before the doorway snapped shut.Perhaps most disturbing is our exploration of the Hitchhiker Effect, a phenomenon in which the horrors of Skinwalker Ranch appear to follow visitors home.Researchers, their family members, and even their neighbors reported identical paranormal events hundreds of miles from the property. We examine the physical toll linked to these experiences, including chronic blood diseases, neurological symptoms, and radiation exposure that left some investigators permanently harmed. From there, we move into the halls of government. Defense Intelligence Agency scientist James Lacatski's visit to the ranch helped spark a $22 million Pentagon program known as AAWSAP.We reveal how U.S. Senator Harry Reid secured funding to study the unexplained, and how the 2017 New York Times exposé pushed UFOs into mainstream discourse. We conclude with the modern era under owner Brandon Fugal, whose History Channel series has documented six seasons of anomalies including UAP sightings, radiation spikes, GPS interference, and the discovery of a massive metallic anomaly buried deep beneath the ranch. We examine what investigators have found in the area known as the Triangle, where rockets are deflected by invisible forces and LIDAR imaging suggests structures that don't appear in visible light.Throughout this episode, we stay committed to factual accuracy while delivering the high-strangeness our listeners expect. Every incident described has been reported by credible witnesses, and many were investigated by government-linked teams. We present skeptical perspectives alongside extraordinary claims, letting you decide what may be happening in that remote corner of Utah. This episode runs approximately one hour and draws from the original Deseret News reporting (1996), Hunt for the Skinwalker by Colm Kelleher and George Knapp, Skinwalkers at the Pentagon by Kelleher, Knapp, and James Lacatski, interviews with Brandon Fugal and Dr. Travis Taylor, and documentation from the NIDS and AAWSAP investigations.Content Warning: This episode includes descriptions of animal deaths and mutilations, psychological distress, and unexplained medical phenomena. Listener discretion is advised. If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe and leave a review. Your support helps us keep bringing you the strange, the unexplained, and the terrifying stories that live just beyond the edge of what we think we know about our world. For more content from Paranormal World Productions, visit our website and follow us on social media. If the Productions calls to Christi are any indication of how things are going on in the second half of "Abby Got Served", it's not good! As the ALDC heads to Detroit for Energy Dance, they're not only up against Jeanette and Ava who are looking for payback, they're struggling openly with Abby's continued disrespect of her own team.At the competition Abby and Jeanette are almost immediately at each other's throats, first with Abby rebuffing JC Broadway Dance Academy's greeting and then with Jeanette unsuccessfully attempting to make peace with Abby before things get underway. Instead Abby breaks the cardinal rule of going backstage to keep an eye on Jeanette and eventually starts taunting Ava. This brings out Energy Dance head Gina who gets into it with Abby over her unprofessionalism. Not to be outdone, Holly also gets into a major fight with Abby. Holly addresses the photoshoot issue from earlier in the week directly to Abby, and Abby begins to insinuate that Nia needs her more than she needs Nia. But a line was clearly crossed and Holly becomes more angry than we've ever seen on the show to date.At the very least the girls put on an incredible showcase this week with their performance of Stomp the Yard. Somehow despite a truly weird gimmick and much hand wringing over how bad the jumpsuits were, it's arguably one of the best dances in ALDC history! And hey, not only do we get no more Christi and Kelly flack next episode, it's also Jojo's ALDC debut next week! Things might not be looking good at the ALDC, but they're looking better at the Barre!Quotes“I did talk to one 3D person this week. Well that's good."
