Marta Renzi is a filmmaker and choreographer who has created over 20 short films, which have screened in over 100 festivals. Marta and her Project Company received a New York Dance and Performance Award (a “Bessie”) in 1992 and the first Dancing in the Streets award in 1995. She has received two videodance commissions from PBS, including one for MOUNTAINVIEW (1989), made in collaboration with filmmaker John Sayles. A seven-time recipient of funding from the NEA, Marta was a Bogliasco Fellow at the Liguria Center for Arts & Humanities in 2013 and a RAW Community Supported Artist in 2014. She served on the Board of Directors of DFA from 2008-2018.

Jera Wolfe is a Canadian dancer and choreographer whose world premiere mainstage production, Kismet, will open with The National Ballet of Canada later this month. Jera speaks with Tom Power about the themes of destiny and ambition in Kismet, what he looks for in the music he works with, and why it's okay if audiences don't fully “get” contemporary ballet.

Cameron sinkʷə Fraser-Monroe is a Canadian dancer and choreographer who brings First Nations storytelling to contemporary ballet. His new full-length ballet, Cikilaxʷm: Controlled Burn with Ballet Kelowna, touches on themes of Indigenous fire stewardship, climate change and wildfire management. Cameron spoke with Q guest host Garvia Bailey about cultural burns, creative collaboration and Indigenous representation in contemporary ballet.

As an ensemble member of Road Less Traveled, most of his “performances" have been behind the scenes, and that is brilliantly represented by his work as the director of RLTP's current production of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. Still, he took time out from a grueling rehearsal schedule to talk to Peter about this show, his life, and his many other projects.
