After a brief stop in Iceland and a few major world events, Simon's taken his talents to the next level in Tallinn and shares his experiences as a freelancer and founder on this episode. You can find Simon's publicly available sample libraries at ivyaudio.com

back after the short holiday break, still making good on our promise to do something new each day of quarantine. That said, we mostly just went on rants about sports this episode. Also this *might* be the penultimate 'Self-quare' episode. Music by: Diet 75 Cover Art by Ryder Wilson
for the 20th time, Brandon and Sam give updates on their experiences with trying a new activity for every day of quarantine- ALSO: we finally have an end of the 'Self-quare' segment in sight... kinda Music by Diet 75 Cover Art by Ryder Wilson
Round 2 of the Gifted Slackers Interview series, this time we had the opportunity to sit down with Marcus Isiah, another native Tucsonan who happens to rap and continues to break barriers professionally. Brandon goes to Olympia, Sam goes to the CHAZ/CHOP and they lock-down days keep going on with no real end in sight... Even if you can't get outside for COVID reasons, you can still help the cause- here is a link to where you can simultaneously support 70+ organizations fighting to support racial justice and end police brutality: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/bail_funds_george_floyd?refcode=cwg Music by Diet 75 Cover Art by Ryder Wilson
Yet another week of self-quare rituals for Sam and Brandon as they try as hard as they can to stay sane. Brandon tries to bite his tongue for the duration of the episode, but it doesn't last long. This is too important. Do what you can to stay politically active and fight for justice for all. Black lives matter. Even if you can't get outside for COVID reasons, you can still help the cause- here is a link to where you can simultaneously support 70+ organizations fighting to support racial justice and end police brutality: secure.actblue.com/donate/bail_fun…oyd?refcode=cwg Learn more about the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) here: https://www.thestranger.com/slog/2020/06/10/43880223/the-capitol-hill-autonomous-zone-renames-expands-and-adds-film-programming Music by Diet 75 Cover art by Ryder Wilson
Brandon and Sam put in light work this past few weeks, doing simpler daily activities that we knew we'd enjoy- we needed some familiarity and stress reduction during this particularly trying time. Another usual iteration of the "self-quare" segment, Brandon and Sam talk about the new daily activities they completed in attempt to stay sane in quarantine, but first, a short note to please do what you can to support the movement to stop police brutality. Sam joins yet again, for the 15th time in a row, because we are STILL in lockdown. At least we have nostalgic activities this week to distract us. Music by Diet 75 Cover art by Ryder Wilson
this week may have been particularly stressful, but let's kick off this 3-day weekend on the couch with yet another recap of Brandon/Sam's daily activities ft: conversation inspired by Young Thug, Patton Oswalt, and reading Music by Diet 75 Cover art by Ryder Wilson
back at it again, this time with some updated intro music to better fit the weird spoopy doomsday we're living in. This weekend's daily activities included watching Tom Segura specials, listening to Jaden, and watching videos we found personally inspirational. This naturally led us to discuss our opinions that no one asked for, our passions, and Brandon holding his vote hostage. Music by Diet 75 Cover art by Ryder Wilson
brace yourselves, we've made it to our 12th 'rona check-in... we've got coffee, we've got the "finer things" and we've got more money talk
Sam and Brandon had a weekend with particularly wholesome activities that may have consequences down the line for possible future podcasts??
We're still on lock-down as WA State prepares for another month of this shit- meaning another month of new daily activities for Sam and Brandon to try and stay sane in this lonely new world. This time we've got more conspiracy theories, taco tuesday, geographical research, and pointless sports yammering
Sam and Brandon have a quick update on the past few days of activities- trying to learn a new language and doing some spring cleaning the it oughtta be done
More than a week's worth of activities to go over this time- everything from cooking to conspiracy theories. Also Sam is making progress on building a fence for his parents.
We tried recording a morning edition of Self-quare on a rainy/cloudy Seattle day after previously having a string of sunshine, so the mood is a bit off. Don't let the low energy fool you, though, we actually enjoyed [most of] these tasks
Brandon and Sam make it to a half dozen of these check-ins on our daily self-quarantine activities. Less obscure sports references this time, more cooking/food/history
You'll find a lot of sports talk in this particular installment of "Self-quare" where two friends/co-workers navigate the drudgery of social distancing and self-quarantine by trying a new activity every day and then documenting the experiences via this podcast journal. This time we try to distract ourselves from the lack of sporting events and proper gyms by finding ways to be optimistic for the future of sports as well as find alternative ways to exercise at home.
Brandon and Sam recount their daily quarantine activities yet again for another special Friday edition, but this time with the heavy hitters- weird hobbies, fast food rankings, controversial literary figures, outdated sports references and of course, political discourse. Crack open a Corona and enjoy the springtime from the safety of your homes- seriously, shelter in place and wash your hands for fuck's sake so we don't have to do this shit forever forever.
Round 3 of the "self-quare" chronicles- This time Same and Brandon indulged themselves and tried to stay sane indoors via baking, guilt-free gaming, and researching the history of three of their favorite snacks.
Sam and I are back for round 2 of "Self-quare" where we talk about our experiences with trying something new every day in an attempt to entertain, educate, and keep ourselves sane throughout this period of quarantine and stay at home orders. This time we talk about our experience with David Sedaris's Santaland Diaries, cooking eggs in new ways, and trying to figure out what the hell a "lifestyle video" is.
Gifted Slackers is back with another reunion, this time kicking off a new series, "Self-quare w/ Sam" in an effort to stay save during the COVID-19 pandemic. Brandon and Sam have decided to try something new every day during quarantine in an attempt to better themselves and then periodically meet up on the show to discuss their experiences.
Brandon is back with his other main improv group, Let's Go Halfies. They talk about everything from Improv auditions to Carnival and other regional holidays.
Brandon and one of his improv groups, Discard After Use have a tipsy late-night conversation instead of rehearsing (ft. Cagney, Tate, and Matt)
Savanna and I talk about our friend Lewis...
Brandon catches up with Pranav and later, their good friend Savanna about growing up and finding happiness as Seattle transplants. Also Brandon's 23andMe came back as hella mixed and Pokemon GO! still exists
Brandon talks with old friend John Murphy, international relations scholar and cult favorite, Ryder. We finally have our decent audio quality back, despite the typical technical difficulties thanks to John's small town, pleb-speed internet. Fresh hot track with some fresh hot takes and a fresh new cover photo / topical intro song, courtesy of Ryder and Steve Miller respectively.
