In this exclusive Manufacturing Talk Radio interview, host Lewis Weiss and Amy Nicklaus sit down with ISM Services PMI Chair Steve Miller to discuss the pivotal April 2026 ISM Services Report the very day it is released, breaking down the key data points impacting the services economy. Miller is currently serving as ISM Services PMI Chair and is an accomplished supply chain management executive. His distinguished career includes 40 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, IT implementation and operations, and operations management consulting at Disney, P.F. Chang's, Accenture, and Kearney. Miller offers unparalleled insight into services trends and economic activity. p> Expansion Trends: The Services PMI recorded a solid 53.6. While slightly down from the previous month's 54, it marks a period where 14 of 18 services industries are reporting growth—the highest expansion level seen in two years. Inflationary Pressures: A major "danger flag" identified is the Prices Paid Index, which remains high at 70.7. This historically elevated level typically correlates with inflation rates exceeding 5%. Energy and Geopolitics: The team discusses the impact of the Iran war and low oil inventories on petroleum costs, noting that "opportunistic pricing" in gasoline and diesel has been felt almost immediately Sector Performance: While Mining is seeing a high rate of expansion, sectors such as Real Estate, Retail Trade, and Agriculture are currently in contraction territory. The Housing Market: Miller and the hosts dive into the "perfect storm" affecting housing, where high mortgage rates and rising costs for labor and materials (lumber, steel, and copper) are straining the industry. This Day in Legal History: Rodney KingOn April 29, 1992, a California jury acquitted four Los Angeles police officers charged in the beating of Rodney King, a Black motorist whose assault had been captured on videotape the year before. The beating took place on March 3, 1991, after a police chase, when officers repeatedly struck King while a bystander recorded the incident from nearby. The footage became one of the most important pieces of video evidence in modern American legal history, not because it settled the matter, but because it showed how even seemingly clear evidence can be interpreted differently in a courtroom. To much of the public, the video appeared to show obvious police brutality. To the defense, it became something to be slowed down, segmented, and reframed as a series of split-second decisions by officers claiming fear and loss of control. When the jury acquitted the officers, the verdict landed in Los Angeles as a statement about far more than one criminal prosecution. For many residents, especially Black Angelenos, it confirmed the belief that the legal system was unwilling or unable to hold police accountable for violence against Black citizens. The verdict triggered several days of unrest across Los Angeles, leaving more than 60 people dead, thousands injured, and large portions of the city damaged. The case also forced the country to confront the relationship between race, policing, prosecutorial burden, and jury perception. The state-court acquittals did not end the legal story, because federal prosecutors later brought civil rights charges against the officers. In 1993, two officers, Laurence Powell and Stacey Koon, were convicted in federal court, while two others were acquitted. King also later received a civil damages award from the City of Los Angeles. April 29 remains a major date in legal history because it revealed the limits of video evidence, the difficulty of prosecuting police officers, and the deep public consequences that can follow when a courtroom verdict collides with what millions of people feel they have already seen.Purdue Pharma was sentenced in federal court in New Jersey to $5.5 billion in fines and penalties tied to its 2020 guilty plea over misconduct connected to OxyContin sales. The sentencing helps clear the path for Purdue to wind down through bankruptcy and fund a broader $7.4 billion opioid settlement. Before approving the plea deal, Judge Madeline Cox Arleo heard hours of testimony from people who described addiction, death, and family devastation connected to the opioid crisis. More than 200 victims submitted letters, and more than 40 people spoke in court.Purdue's chairman, Steve Miller, apologized directly to victims after the judge instructed him to do so. Arleo also apologized from the bench, telling victims that the government had failed them by missing opportunities to stop Purdue's conduct earlier. Many speakers said financial punishment was not enough and argued that Purdue's owners, the Sackler family, or company executives should face prison time. The judge said she could not impose jail time because the Justice Department had charged the company, not the individual owners or executives. Although the formal sentence is $5.5 billion, most of that amount will not actually be paid, with the government expected to collect $225 million if Purdue uses its remaining assets to pay creditors. The settlement includes money for governments and an $865 million fund for individuals, but many victims worry they will be excluded because they cannot produce old prescription records. Purdue says it is on track to exit bankruptcy as a new nonprofit company focused on opioid addiction treatment and overdose-reversal medicines.Purdue Pharma receives $5.5 billion sentence, paving way for opioid settlement | ReutersThe Justice Department has indicted former FBI Director James Comey over a 2025 Instagram post showing seashells arranged as “86 47,” which prosecutors say amounted to a threat against President Donald Trump. The case was filed in federal court in North Carolina and charges Comey with threatening the president's life and transmitting a threat across state lines. Comey has said he did not intend violence, explaining that he deleted the post after learning some people interpreted the numbers that way.Trump and his allies had argued the message was a threat, with “47” referring to Trump as the 47th president and “86” being read by them as a call to remove him violently. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the indictment as a standard threat case, while critics and Comey's lawyers say it looks like a politically motivated prosecution. The Secret Service had previously looked into the post and interviewed Comey, but he was not charged at that time. One should also place the indictment in the broader context of Trump's Justice Department pursuing cases against people and groups seen as political opponents.Comey already faced a separate criminal case over alleged false testimony to Congress, but that case was dismissed after a judge found a problem with the prosecutor's appointment, and the government is appealing. Comey's lawyers are expected to argue that the new case is both retaliatory and protected by the First Amendment. The central legal fight will likely be whether the post was a “true threat” or protected political speech.Trump's DOJ indicts former FBI director James Comey over ‘86 47' post | ReutersThe Trump administration has fired all current members of the National Science Board, according to two former board members who spoke to Reuters. The board, created in 1950, helps oversee the National Science Foundation and advises both the president and Congress on science and engineering policy. It had more than 20 members, who were appointed to six-year terms, and most of them came from academia, with others from national labs, nonprofits, and private industry. Former board members Yolanda Gil and Keivan Stassun said they were told by email that their removals were effective immediately.According to Gil, all 22 current members were terminated and no explanation was given. Stassun said the move was disappointing but not surprising in light of other Trump administration actions affecting scientific research and independent federal bodies. The National Science Foundation referred questions to the White House. A White House official said the NSF's work would continue without interruption and suggested that the board's congressionally created powers may need to be updated. The firings fit into a broader pattern described by political experts as an effort by the administration to reshape independent institutions by replacing existing officials with more loyal leadership.Trump administration fires entire National Science Board | Reuters This is a public episode. On the April 15, 2026 episode of Right On Radio host Jeff is joined by his brother in the Lord John from We've Read the Documents for a wide-ranging conversation about spiritual symbolism, geopolitics, and the signs of the age. The show opens with the regular "word on word" scripture segment (Mark 13:33 and Romans 10:9–10) before moving into the main discussion framed by the question: is the world undergoing an "inverted baptism" — the death of the old order and the emergence of a new one? Jeff and John unpack that baptism analogy and consider whether the global realignment has a spiritual layer. They discuss concrete geopolitical moves — including Trump's actions around the Strait of Hormuz, energy-route control (mentions of Indonesia and the Panama Canal), and the risk of escalation — and how those moves fit into a larger pattern of power consolidation. The episode turns to technology and governance: the hosts analyze the roles of Palantir, Peter Thiel, Oracle/Larry Ellison, Sam Altman and the rise of public–private, AI-driven systems that could function as the infrastructural "beast." They debate whether AI will serve as an "image" to be worshipped alongside a literal human Antichrist and explore how corporatocracy and AI governance might be forming today. Political corruption and coercion are central themes. Clips and commentary cover Eric Swalwell and claims of blackmail controlling politicians (including a striking quote from Steve Miller), George Santos's remarks about the PAGE program, renewed talk of Pizzagate and Franklin-era scandals, grand jury activity, and conversations about FISA renewal. Jeff and John assess how these revelations and delays fit into a broader strategy and what they mean for accountability. Interwoven are pastoral reflections: both hosts emphasize God's sovereignty, the need for spiritual discernment, and the limits of human certainty about prophetic timetables. They acknowledge fatigue among listeners, the tension between hope and realism ("hopium"), and the responsibility of Christian communicators to steward platforms prayerfully. The show also includes lighter asides — AI video ethics, nostalgic tech talk (dial-up and rotary phones), and pop-culture hypotheticals — and ends with practical encouragement: love God, love your neighbor, engage your community, and remain discerning and prayerful amid accelerating global change. The guys once again turn to the oeuvre of Steve Miller and his band with the laid back jam Fly Like An Eagle. Is it really as deep as they seem to think it is? And would it have packed more punch if it kept its original context?
Welcome back to another completely normal episode of The Rizzuto Show—just kidding, nothing about this is normal. This daily comedy podcast kicks off with a hot ticket alert: Shinedown is playing a smaller venue than usual, which means chaos, desperation, and listeners risking their dignity (and phone numbers) for a shot at tickets. The stakes? Answer a simple question correctly… or unleash your number to the most unhinged audience on earth. No pressure. From there, things take a turn into the “wow, we've all been living a lie” category. The crew dives into iconic movie quotes that everyone thinks they know—but almost nobody actually gets right. We're talking Star Wars, Forrest Gump, Jaws, and more getting absolutely exposed. Turns out your brain has been remixing Hollywood history for years, and honestly? It's embarrassing for all of us.Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, where nothing and no one is safe. Steve Miller goes full scorched earth on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, biopics get roasted (because apparently we needed MORE of those), and Hollywood casting choices get questioned like we're all suddenly critics with strong opinions.Oh—and just when you think the show has peaked, we bring in a conversation about animal therapy involving monkeys. Yes, monkeys. No, we didn't plan for it either. But somehow it turns into one of the most unexpectedly interesting parts of the entire episode, because that's just how this daily comedy podcast works. It's music, movies, celebrity chaos, weird news, and just enough nonsense to make you question why you listen… but also why you can't stop.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Today on part one of this interview on the Rarified Heir Podcast, we are talking to Grammy-winning musician Leo Sidran, son of jazz musician, professor, radio host, VH1 TV host and author Ben Sidran. Now if you are a jazz fan, likely you know the name Ben Sidran. In a career that spans more than 50 years, Ben Sidran has had a truly remarkable career as a solo performer and has somehow performed with, recorded with or produced pretty much everyone in and out of jazz. Like who? How about Steve Miller, Diana Ross, Boz Scaggs, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton, Mose Allison and so many more. But as we learn from Leo on this episode, Ben's literate background, his poetic lyrics and his fantastic piano playing make him, we would argue, more than just a musician but more of a national treasure. There is just something about a world class jazz musician who can also write lyrics that make you think, and often times laugh, that just gives you pause. It's a rare talent and Ben Sidran has it. So on this episode we learn about Leo's entre into music. Yes of course it's via his dad but it also involves going on tour with The Steve Miller Band where technology plays a major part in his world on the tour bus. From there we learn how Leo became a songwriter before he could drive, how he was looked after by the Steve Miller Band band members and how it set him up for his first recording date not too long after. Along the way we discuss the importance of merch, Camus, Madison Wisconsin, the importance of having a mother who was a travel agent – and much more than that, why his parents left Los Angeles when Ben's solo career was just getting going and much more. This is the Rarified Heir Podcast and everyone has a story.

"A wonderful guitar player and great songwriter " - Steve Miller "Curry is the next guitar hero" - Peter Frampton Acclaimed singer-songwriter Matthew Curry returns with his new album ONE FOR THE RIDE, a dynamic and heartfelt collection that showcases the full range of his musicianship -- from fiery, virtuostic guitar work to intimate, emotionally rich songwriting. The album explores life on the road, love celebration, personal reflection, and Americana storytelling, all delivered with Curry's signature depth and gritty authenticity. Born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois, Curry picked up the guitar at age four, was performing live by eight, and leading his own band by eleven. Curry's distinctive blend of blues, rock, southern rock, and old-school country has earned him a devoted audience across the globe. Over the years, Matthew has toured with major icons including the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton, Journey, Don Felder, with Steve Miller praising Curry as "a wonderful guitar player and great songwriter in the league of Stevie Ray Vaughan." One For The Ride captures Curry's life on the road, his love for storytelling, and the musical influences that shaped him. The album bursts open with high-energy southern rock flair, drawing inspiration from the raw spirit of bands like ZZ Top and the timeless road-song tradition.Tracks like "Rum Stumblin'" showcase Curry's knack for crafting fun, bluesy, party-driven grooves, while "Born Behind The Wheel" leans into gritty riffs and harmonies rooted in the southern rock Curry grew up listening to.For more on Matthew Curry check at the website:https://matthewcurry.com
In this episode, we explore modern-day visionary experiences like near-death experiences (NDEs), deathbed visions, and striking dreams. Many assume the supernatural “only happened back then,” but we examine reports from respected scholars, public figures, and historical voices to challenge the claim that miracle testimony comes only from the “ignorant and barbarous.” Dr. Steve Miller joins the conversation to share research-driven insights on why testimonies from credible people still matter and how NDEs and deathbed experiences commonly reshape priorities (especially around love and relationships) *Get a MASTERS IN APOLOGETICS or SCIENCE AND RELIGION at BIOLA (https://bit.ly/3LdNqKf) *USE Discount Code [smdcertdisc] for 25% off the BIOLA APOLOGETICS CERTIFICATE program (https://bit.ly/3AzfPFM) *See our fully online UNDERGRAD DEGREE in Bible, Theology, and Apologetics: (https://bit.ly/448STKK) FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Twitter: https://x.com/Sean_McDowell TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@sean_mcdowell?lang=en Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/seanmcdowell/ Website: https://seanmcdowell.org Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Episode Description: “Have you ever wondered how a single email could change the course of a family's life forever?”
Today's episode is a special one. I'm sitting down with the man who first put a rifle in my hands, taught me patience in the field, discipline at the reloading bench, and—most importantly—what it truly means to respect the animal, the hunt, and the process. My dad, Steve Miller, is the reason I fell in love with hunting in the first place. We talk about where it all began for him, the hunts that shaped who he is, the lessons learned the hard way, and the one hunt that still stands above the rest after all these years. This episode is about time spent in the outdoors, traditions passed down, and the kind of knowledge that can only come from a lifetime of experience. And there's no one I'd rather share that story with than my dad.Learn more about GOHUNT.Follow Brady on Instagram.Follow GOHUNT on Social Media:InstagramYouTube - Podcast ChannelYouTube - Main ChannelFacebook
In this episode of Let's Talk Micro, we break down metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and how it's changing the way we diagnose complex infectious diseases. I'm joined by Steve Miller, MD, PhD—Chief Medical Officer at Delve Bio—to discuss how unbiased metagenomics moved from research labs into real-world clinical practice. We cover what metagenomics is, how it differs from targeted PCR and sequencing, and where it adds the most value—especially in meningitis and encephalitis, immunocompromised patients, and cases where routine testing comes back negative. Dr. Miller shares insights from years of clinical experience, including how mNGS can improve diagnostic yield, shorten time to diagnosis, guide targeted therapy, and reduce unnecessary testing and hospital stays. We also touch on challenges like cost, result interpretation, diagnostic stewardship, and where metagenomics is headed next—including its role in public health and emerging infections. Grab Steve Miller's 25 Uncopyable Action Steps FREE here: https://www.beuncopyable.com/jason-croftIn this episode of Strategy & Action, Jason Croft sits down with Steve Miller—author of 11 books including Uncopyable—to break down why being "better" than your competition is a trap... and what to do instead.Steve reveals the concept of extrinsic benchmarking (stealing genius from completely unrelated industries), why most businesses are stuck playing copycat in their own box, and how he built an eight-figure business by focusing on just 200 companies.Jason digs into the challenge coaches and consultants face today: how do you stand out when everyone sounds the same? Together, they explore the difference between visibility and memorability, why competing on price is a losing game, and what it really means to create value so clear that the decision becomes easy. You'll hear wild stories from Steve's time as a Hollywood stuntman, his work with Apple and Caterpillar, and the field trip that changed how a construction equipment giant thought about customer experience. If you're tired of blending in and want to become the inevitable choice in your market, this episode gives you the playbook.Find all the show notes and links here: https://www.strategyactionshow.com/107

There is something about a journey. Whether it is a long-anticipated vacation or an emergency that calls you away from all that is familiar, a journey is a new beginning. One moment you're in your own home, surrounded by all the things that have collected to facilitate your daily activities and routines. The next moment, you're in a car, a train, an airplane flying across the landscape toward the unknown. Sooner or later, we each find ourselves on a journey. This life teaches us again and again that what is familiar today can be upended in a moment. We sew the fabric of our lives to cradle and support us, but the threads are fragile, and eventually, there will be a tear. Patterns vanish, routines deteriorate, and we are suddenly forced to re-create what we need—in effect to re-create who we are. It is at those moments that we rediscover our hidden reserves as we consciously evaluate and determine what, indeed, matters most in our lives. Tragedy and disasters can also offer unanticipated blessings. In a generous act of grace and kindness, our guest on The Breggin Hour invited Peter Breggin to share his perspectives on being a head injury patient. After over 60 years of helping patients and vulnerable persons to understand and overcome head injuries and brain damage from psychiatric drugs, electroshock, and lobotomy, Peter suffered a stroke in August of 2025. The damage has been serious enough that the Breggins have traveled to Florida to be evaluated for participation in a cutting-edge program for patients with brain injuries of various kinds. For the Breggins, Peter's injury and the symptoms he is experiencing are so fresh that he has not talked publicly before about his subjective reactions to the experience. That changed when this week's guest, screenwriter Steve Miller, said, “This is fascinating—please tell me more.” Steve Miller has been a writer for film and TV for over 25 years—he lives and breathes stories, and knew he was hearing a unique one in this interview. A personally thoughtful and caring man, he is also wide awake to the evils of our world and the nefarious goals of globalists who want to control the world. Covid Unmasked: 2020 and Beyond is Steve Miller's excellent documentary, which exposes the underlying motives and hidden puppet masters who brought us all to the brink of global economic disaster while setting in motion the events of the Covid era that continue to claim lives today. With this broad shared background, the conversation turned to the personal. What followed may be the most intimate hour with the Breggins ever recorded. ______ Learn more about Dr. Peter Breggin's work: https://breggin.com/ See more from Dr. Breggin's long history of being a reformer in psychiatry: https://breggin.com/Psychiatry-as-an-Instrument-of-Social-and-Political-Control Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal, the how-to manual @ https://breggin.com/a-guide-for-prescribers-therapists-patients-and-their-families/ Get a copy of Dr. Breggin's latest book: WHO ARE THE “THEY” - THESE GLOBAL PREDATORS? Baxie talks to Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John McFee of the Doobie Bros! Despite being the Doobie's lead guitar player for the last 46 years, John McFee's amazing career has taken him from playing with Van Morrison, Steve Miller, Nick Lowe, Rick James, and many others. He was also in the band Clover which not only backed up Elvis Costello on his first album—the band would eventually become Huey Lewis & The News. In 1990 John started a project with Keith Knudsen from the Doobie Bros and Stu Cook from CCR. Together they recorded an album under the name Jackdawg. Unfortunately, that was shelved before it got released following the death of their manager. The record would go unreleased for 18 years. This year the record is being given a proper reissue on Liberation Hall Records. An amazing story! Listen on Apple, Spotify and YouTube. Brought to you by Metro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chicopee!
