We exist to build a community that allows us to talk about the hard things in life. We share stories that prove that grief and loss are universal. We can connect with each other through our pain.
Episode #5 is an interview with Kelly and Jill Young. Kelly and Jill make their home in Cushing, Oklahoma. They had one sweet baby boy, Miles who they lost on Christmas Day 2015. They speak so openly and honestly with me about their loss, their grief and what life looks like moving forward. They lead a Grief Share group and honestly, their biggest piece of advice for us is to just do something! They believe in the power of telling our stories and sharing in each other’s grief. I’ll be sure and link to the grief share website below. This conversation not only moved me, but challenged me in such big ways. Where am I placing my identity? Is it in myself, my titles, who I think I am … or is it in the One who can never be taken away from us? Can I still trust God when things don’t look the way I thought they would, even though I’m doing all the right things? Is He still good?
