I watch our culture around us taking Jesus out of His own ministry, and my heart is to help turn His children back towards Him. Each episode covers different areas with one common theme: we need to understand how broken we are and Who our True Savior is. Become a supporter of this podcast: https…
If we want our church body to be able to stand the tests of time we must learn how to love and accept one another no matter our differences. After many hard conversations this last week after I mentioned being a Calvinist I began to realize that there is something very dark within us that wants us to create division (usually out of ignorance) or proclaim someone else as a divisive person. That MUST stop otherwise we will destroy our churches from the inside out. This episode has had many technical difficulties so the sound quality is not the best (very sorry about that!) For more information about a few of the topics or people I mentioned: Do Calvinists believe Arminians are saved? R. C. Sproul and Baptism. John Piper over Cessationists. Did He, though? We are going to go back in time to the time of the Reformation. What was it? Who started it? Why does it even matter? I'm sure you have heard the names mentioned, but why are they so important to your faith and to our world if we want to be biblically sound? This episode will be starting a string of episodes I will be covering over our church history and where we are now. It is going to become deeper with each passing week, so be sure to buckle up! Please make sure to leave a review on iTunes for me so I can help spread the gospel and you can, too! Becoming a believer at 20 and then becoming a deeper believer at 27 was not something I thought could or would happen to me. This is my story and a bit of a lesson on what I mean when I say I am reformed and I believe in the 5 Solas. Give it a listen so you can see more of my heart behind my episodes, but also so that you can maybe do like I did and realize areas of your life where you are not biblical at all, yet thought you were! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/madison-sanderson/support
Covering the hot show Game of Thrones in my latest episode! Make sure to follow me on Instagram @isatwithmadi John Piper's Twelve Questions. Kevin DeYoung's "I Don't Understand Christians Watching Game of Thrones". Lastly, the one that I just can't agree with fully: "Yes, Christians Can Watch Game of Thrones." Remember that "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." On this episode I go over an interview that New York Times journalist, Nicholas Kristof, had with Serene Jones. She is a protestant minister, president of Union Theological Seminary and author of a new memoir, "Call It Grace". We cover all the areas where she has completely butchered all that Jesus did whilst on earth and through His death and resurrection. For the full article go here. First set of bible references: 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 1 Corinthians 15:14-21, Romans 1:3-4, 2 Timothy 2:8, Colossians 2:12, and Romans 6:3-4 Did God orchestrate Jesus' death? - John 3:16-17, 1 John 4:9 Job 12:7-10 "But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you, or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you: and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind." 13-25 "With God are wisdom and might he has counsel and understanding. If he tears down, none can rebuild; if he shuts a man in, none can open. If he withholds the waters, they dry up; if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land. With him are strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are his. He leads counselors away stripped, and judges he makes fools. He looses the bonds of kings and binds a waist cloth on their hips. He leads priests away stripped and overthrows the mighty. He deprives of speech those who are trusted and takes away the discernment of the elders. He pours contempt on princes and loosens the belt of the strong. He uncovers the deeps out of darkness and brings deep darkness to light. He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations and leads them away. He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them wander in the trackless waste. They grope in the dark without lights, and he makes them stagger like a drunken man." Is there a Hell? - Revelation 21:8, Matthew 25:46, Psalm 9:17, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Matthew 13:50, Mark 9:43, Jude 1:7 (to name a few). Happy Easter! I hope you guys are gearing up for a weekend full of Jesus, His praises, and His remembrance of what He did on the cross. Since this is a busy week for most, I take just a couple of minutes to give you TONS of resources I have either used or am currently using to help me understand my bible and my King more! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/madison-sanderson/support
"99.9% of people are not bad people. They may make poor choices, but deep down, they have a good heart" Joel Osteen. That, my friends, is what I like to call garbage. Our nation is so engulfed in making sure that everyone feels good in some way, shape or form, that we have completely forgotten what scripture has said about us from the beginning of time! We have allowed our culture to caudal us and dim the beautiful reality of what Jesus did on the cross. Let's not stand by any longer and allow our Savior to be told He's not actually needed and that His death wasn't necessary. In this episode we will cover the topic of "Is Everyone Good?". There are two clips from some of my most listened to speakers - Voddie Baucham and Todd Friel. I HIGHLY recommend you go and look them up and allow them to bring more truth into you life. Beside just them and me, I ask that you go and read your bible. Open it up and let God do His thing! He will one day open your eyes to some of these hard to swallow truths, but just like we talked about last week, He will also provide the peace to accept them.
