Aman John is from Morgantown, West Virginia. He played lacrosse in high school and attended West Virginia University where he studied economics. For over 10 years now, he has been posted videos on YouTube pushing the boundaries about freedom, economics, culture, and life. He is the son of a Tanzanian politician and caucasian mother and we speak at length about what it's like to grow up without a father, what it means to fit in, and how we can help leave the world a better place than we found it!
Selvish Capers is from New Orleans, Louisiana and played football at West Virginia University. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Redskins. He won Super Bowl 2012 with the New York Giants and spent time in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnepeg Blue Bombers. After retiring from professional sports, he went to go with at Stub Hub and is currently the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Apartment List.
J.T. Thomas III is from Fort Lauderdale, FL. He played football at West Virginia University and went on to play 7 seasons in the NFL for the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Giants. He also has his MBA from University of Miami. J.T. is an incredibly gifted and talented individual and we talk the gambit here from dealing with injuries, growing up with a single mother, and experiencing racism in various places.
Mike Dent is from Jeannette, PA and played football at West Virginia University. Mike's Senior season was cut short due to a neck injury. Mike is the founder, of X-Hemplify, a premium organic CBD company as well as the general manager of the Airport Kia of Naples. This one is chocked full of adversity so I hope you enjoy it!
Tyler Urban played football at West Virginia University and then went on to test the waters in the NFL. After returning to school to receive his master's degree and started his career as an NFL sports agent at Octagon Sports. Now he is an agent for one of the fastest growing sports agencies in the world - Roc Nation.
Today's guest is Eric Plummer. Eric is a New Jersey native who graduated from Princeton and was also a member of the Track & Field team. His event was shot put, and he was one of the top record setters in the Ivy League. Eric went on to train at the IMG Academy down in FL and looked at heading to the NFL. He has a masters degree and many years of work experience both with large companies as well as startups.
In this episode I catch up with my childhood friend Cory Jackson. Cory played football at University of Maryland and went on to test the waters in the NFL. He has battle family money troubles, being the youngest brother, injuries, depression, and just keeps attacking life with his relentless work ethic. He currently lives in Austin, TX.
