Before I even begin, I must issue a trigger warning because I am talking about my experiences with sexual assault and rape. It is my intention that you are able to be empowered by my story and that you can use that story to help others or yourself. One of the biggest organizations that helps victims in the United States in dealing with the aftermath of sexual assault is the rape assault and incest national network (RAINN).
