Lots going on this week. We planted many things, test drove a few things, broke one thing and even managed to fix something. A couple of Soapy Cats have also been awarded to the mystery plant winners.

D&D headed for the big city to do 5 days of paid work. Lots still going on and happening back at homesteads the last two weeks.

We finally have our first guest! Our neighbour Susy came over to have a chat with us. We grilled her on all things off-grid.

Busy time at The Hills. Some good and bad news as you will see. Progress on the new greenhouse and garden on the lower side of the property along with a bunch of updates on many things.

We talk about finding the locations for the house builds, making the roads to them and the many, many house designs. We also talk about our experiments with rammed earth and starting our foundations.

 Big move has a double meaning in this episode. We first talk about buying our excavator and bulldozer. We then share the crazy, and stressful, story of moving them to the property. Second, is the big move from the city and what went into that  decision for each of us. We took the big plunge and went head long into the wild. Jobs quit, moving van loaded and headed towards our gridless future.
