I was diagnosed with ADHD twice. It's challenging to look back at your challenges growing up and not feel something. This is the first time I've gotten this personal about part of what I experienced growing up from sharing how I coped with rejection to reading the letter my mom wrote me right after a huge life challenge I share. I did not know at the time that my red flags were really white ones. Those we love, ourselves included, may be going through things we don't know about or cannot understand. We are always exactly who we need to be in each moment. I look forward to hearing your thoughts :-)
Welcome back!! After a month break, we are picking back up with an episode just in time for Mental Health Awareness month. This episode talks about mental wellness in support of mental health, how there are just some things a hug cannot fix (que the medication), and how perspective management is critical to mental wellness management.
This episode wraps up the fearless failure mini series by addressing the transitional space between what happens to you and what you do about it. The "that's great, now what?" zone where responsibility and accountability need to play nice together is discussed with a theory called Repair vs. Recover. This episode will address how to move out of the frozen state that can cause procrastination and why we avoid situations with tools to embrace new challenges alongside giving ourselves a break and allowing time to accept who we are and who we need to be. ADHD or not - we can all relate!
The second episode in our Fearless Failure mini series features Clint Pulver who is an Emmy award winning, motivational keynote speaker, author, musician, and workforce expert who has a new book called "I Love It Here". Listen as Clint spills some serious secrets on tackling fear and failure including being the best for the world instead of the best in the world, how to turn problems into opportunities, and 5 C's you won't want to forget. Plus - I dare you to start a day again without a "To Don't" list! www.clintpulver.com Order I LOVE IT HERE Feedback or Questions? livingwitheinstein@gmail.com
The Leadership Game is a mini series that memorializes on this podcast a few of the theories and ideas I have been able to speak on nationally over the last few years. This series focuses on the internal work of mindset management and personal accountability because good leaders are good examples. After all, would you get on a plane if you didn't trust the pilot? We start the series with a unique look at our own biggest roadblocks first - fear and failure.
Today's episode features my hilarious older sister Samantha. Her and I chat about everything from what it was like as a kid and teenager to be my sister, how ADHD and rejection showed up in this point in my life from her perspective, and she shares her story about her daughter's ADD diagnosis, alongside her own health challenges as the family warrior!
Episode Three: #justloveme features The Fiancé and I talking about everything from how we met, ADHD and love, online dating, rejection sensitivity, and day to day relationship challenges. We are honest, open, and take no topic off the table!
Do YOU or someone you know have ADHD/HSP? Today I'm doing the HSP and ADHD self evaluations for myself and my kids while elaborating on the questions and talking about the diagnosis process!
