Loosely themed episodes cover current fave reads and listens; music memories and influences; songwriting, recording, performing and the pain and fun of looking for the magic.Elizabeth Nelson is singer-songwriter for the D.C.-based garage-punk band the Paranoid Style and a regular contributor to The Ringer, Oxford American and Pitchfork amongst others. In 2020 Spin Magazine ranked the Paranoid Style the 27th best rock & roll band currently working, thereby adding twenty six names to her renowned Enemies List.Amy Rigby has been writing, performing and recording her transcendent songs about everyday life for over thirty years, first with bands Last Roundup and the Shams in NYC’s East Village, then as a solo artist beginning with classic album Diary Of A Mod Housewife up through The Old Guys (2018) and 2020 single “Vote That F****r Out” with sometime duo partner Wreckless Eric. Her first book, Girl To City: A Memoir was published last year.
