Scott interviews author and scholar Robert Pape about the insights he's gained from his decades of extensive research into the strategic effectiveness of air power in war. Pape argues that, while modern precision bombs are remarkable at carrying out their tactical functions, they alone are not enough to win wars. And further, the obsession with tactical bombing campaigns can distract decisionmakers from the political dynamics that primarily determine how wars end. Discussed on the show: Bombing to Win: Air Power and Coercion in War by Robert A. Pape The Escalation Trap Robert A. Most people say they want change, but their behavior tells a different story. Over time, repetition hardens into identity, and once something feels like who you are, the brain works to preserve it. We dive deeper into this in the latest Habits & Hustle episode. We also chat about why comfort is more addictive than failure, how social circles punish growth, and why waiting to feel ready keeps you stuck in the same loop. If you're serious about high performance and behavioral change, this episode forces you to look at the patterns you keep protecting. Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley's 1997 launch Thunderbolts had a killer high concept: what if a band of supervillains posed as heroes to con the public into trusting them? But by the end of issue #12, the central conflict and premise of the series had been effectively dismantled by exposing the team's deception and turning them into fugitives. Where could the series possibly go next? We investigate a narrative swerve that some fans thought was a mistake, but we'd argue took the series to new creative heights. Targeted by the good guys and the bad guys alike, the Thunderbolts go on the run, and Bagley and Busiek turn what could have been a limited premise into a true ongoing series in the tradition of Claremont and Byrne's Uncanny X-Men, constantly shifting the status quo and packing each monthly issue with intrigue and subplots. Plus: Jim and Justin explain why Hawkeye is one of the coolest Avengers ever as he takes the reins of the team.Discussed in this episode: Thunderbolts #13-33, #0Baron Zemo says, "Under no circumstances should you support this podcast at patreon.com/ironageofcomics!" But are you gonna let that guy tell you what you can and can't do??
Chronic stress isn't just a mental or emotional burden. It creates a biological cascade that disrupts mitochondrial function, accelerates inflammation, and shows up visibly in the skin long before deeper symptoms appear. We dive deeper into this in the Biohacking Beauty Podcast with Dr. Scott Sherr. We also talk about the sympathetic spiral of doom, why skin reflects mitochondrial decline before other symptoms appear, and why sequencing interventions matter more than intensity.Dr. Scott Sherr is a board-certified internal medicine physician certified in Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe) and a specialist in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. He is the COO of Troscriptions and focuses clinically on mitochondrial health, stress physiology, and advanced recovery protocols. What's Discussed:(01:52) Why chronic stress is not just mental and directly impacts cellular energy(05:17) How modern life keeps the nervous system stuck in chronic fight or flight(07:25) Cortisol and stress hormones disrupting mitochondria and accelerating skin aging(11:16) Why skin aging is often the first visible sign of mitochondrial decline(24:16) The sympathetic spiral of doom explained through energy loss and stress signaling(27:14) Why stress reduction and mitochondrial support must happen at the same time(46:22) Why aggressive skincare and biohacking fail without mitochondrial resilience(50:35) Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sequencing, and why timing matters more than intensityFind more from Young Goose:The Elastin Action Protocol → Engineered for Skin Navigating Elasticity Change The Winter Skin Protocol → Build for How Skin Actually Behaves in Winter VAMPIRE EXOSOMES → Professional Exosome Serum for Regeneration and Post-Treatment RecoveryUse code PODCAST10 to get 10% off your first purchase, and if you're a returning customer use the code PODCAST5 to get 5% off at https://younggoose.comInstagram: @young_goose_skincareFind more from Dr. Scott Sherr:Website: https://troscriptions.comLinkedIn: @troscriptionsInstagram: @drscottsherr @troscriptionsFacebook: @TroscriptionsYoutube: @troscriptionsTiktok: @troscriptions

You've been told perfect form prevents injury and rounding your back will ruin your spine. But what if the real problem isn't the movement? What if it's fear, outdated advice, and expecting your body to heal like it's Amazon Prime two-day shipping? We dive deeper into this in the latest episode of the Broads Podcast with strength coach Dr. Susie Spirlock. We also chat about why “perfect form” doesn't exist, how to return to lifting after injury or chronic conditions like POTS and hypermobility, and why strength training is non-negotiable for women heading into perimenopause and beyond. Dr. Susie Spirlock is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and strength coach with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is Barbell Rehab Method certified, Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified, and a Pain Free Performance Specialist. She provides online rehab and fitness coaching and serves as an instructor for the Barbell Rehab Method. Hosted by Aisha Harley, the conversation featured Arin Fugate, Dr. Josie, Dr. Mica & Dianne DelReyes LA.c who discussed early signs of burnout, hormonal shifts, genetic detox considerations, and supportive essential oil and supplement protocols. Arin shared her personal journey through midlife exhaustion, brain fog, sleep disruption, and weight gain — highlighting how chronic stress, caffeine reliance, post-COVID recovery, and genetic factors like MTHFR mutations compounded her symptoms. The discussion emphasized recognizing early warning signs and implementing simple, supportive habits before deeper depletion occurs.

In the interview, Johnson presciently explained why he was virtually certain this was coming. He and Scott then debunked all the ridiculous lies this insane operation is built on and reflected on the complete lack of a clear endgame. Discussed on the show: “Will Trump Take the Exit Ramp or Go to War with Iran?” (Sonar21) Larry C. Johnson is a former CIA officer and intelligence analyst, and a former planner and advisor at the US State Department's Office of Counter Terrorism. Follow his analysis at Sonar21. Endless scrolling doesn't sharpen your thinking. You probably can't remember 95% of what you just consumed, yet it still takes your time, attention, and even your money. In this solo episode of Habits & Hustle, I share why I created The Habits & Hustle Book Club and what pushed me to build something that encourages completion instead of constant consumption. We break down how a clear deadline builds accountability, why finishing a book strengthens follow-through in other areas of your life, and how using those spare 10 to 20 minutes to read instead of scroll can improve your focus over time. Tune in to learn how the book club works, what kinds of books we're reading, and why finishing what you start changes more than just your reading list. Sign up for free at https://www.jennifercohen.com/bookclub What's Discussed (00:26) Why book clubs are trending again amid social media fatigue (01:32) The polarization and comparison trap fueled by constant scrolling (02:35) Why you don't remember 95 percent of what you consume online (03:26) The shift toward real connection and community through reading (06:08) TikTok shopping, impulse buying, and algorithm-driven spending (12:11) Using a finite reading deadline to build accountability and follow-through Thank you to our sponsors: Rho Nutrition: Try Rho Nutrition today and experience the difference of Liposomal Technology. The business end of the season has arrived, and the tension is officially off the charts. Johnny Cochrane, Pedro, and Matt Kandela convene for a loaded "Before The Whistle" to navigate a chaotic run of London derbies. With the title race on a knife-edge, the boys dissect the psychological state of the squad, celebrate some massive stadium news, and revel in the absolute misery of our fiercest rivals.
On this episode of The Hollywood Outsider podcast, with Scream 7 hitting theaters (stick around for our review), we felt it was time to revisit the modern slasher movie rules and determine which ones are still absolutely necessary to have a fantastic time at the movies, and which ones are long overdue to be retired. Bad decisions, the car won't start, dropping the weapon, red herrings, and more are on the slab. It's time to decide for each one: do we keep it, or kill it? Then, we work together to create our own masterful slasher franchise! Also on this episode, Ryan Coogler's The X-Files is a go, billionaire tech mogul villains are popping up everywhere, and recommendations. Listen to our Inspired by a True Story episode on SCREAM! We've been conditioned to believe that saying less is safer. But playing it safe costs trust, influence, stronger negotiations, and deeper relationships because the line between “too much” and meaningful connection is further out than we think. In the latest episode of Habits & Hustle, I'm joined by author Leslie John to break down the exact tipping point where leader vulnerability backfires, why holding your cards close in negotiation weakens your leverage, and how pushing slightly past your comfort zone builds real authority. Leslie John is the James E. Burke Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and author of Revealing: The Underrated Power of Oversharing. Her award-winning research appears in top academic journals and media including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Economist. What's Discussed (04:00) Why oversharing feels risky but builds stronger relationships and influence (06:31) The difference between emotional dumping and strategic vulnerability (18:23) Disclosure flexibility and knowing when to reveal versus hold back (20:55) Why long term relationships erode when partners stop sharing (27:15) How strategic transparency increases trust and customer retention (28:50) The most common negotiation mistake: leading with concealment (34:03) Leader vulnerability and the tipping point where credibility drops (41:01) Authenticity versus impulse and why emotional intelligence matters Thank you to our sponsors: Rho Nutrition: Try Rho Nutrition today and experience the difference of Liposomal Technology.
