Happy Halloween! This episode I’m joined by Kris, a member of an all-women’s paranormal investigating team that travels to some of the most haunted places across the entire US. Using various techniques and equipment, her team seeks to gather evidence and prove (or disprove) paranormal phenomena. It was a lot of fun talking with Kris about something she’s so passionate about. Hope you enjoy this spooky episode on Halloween! I think episode is definitely the funniest episode I’ve posted thus far. We dropped a lot of F bombs so I had to drop the explicit tag on the cover art. I was dying laughing throughout. Brandon and I have a hilarious conversation about life, not taking yourself too seriously, and adjusting to this new way of living during corona times. In addition to the laughs, there’s plenty of nuggets of wisdom. Really enjoyed this one. If you liked it be sure to check out Brandon’s page at @bruhndooon.products (3 Os) on Instagram. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pokinglife/support
In my first ever solo podcast I discuss some of the reasons that I’m so interested in Bitcoin. I talk about what Bitcoin is, how it works at a high-level, potential use-cases for the technology, why people believe it’s valuable. I also give some future price predictions! Could bitcoin hit 100k??? (None of this is financial advice!) Credits to Satoshi, Chris Gimmer, Saifedean Ammous, and PlanB/100TrillionUSD whose works were referenced in multiple instances throughout the episode. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pokinglife/support
Gaming is becoming a bigger and bigger part of society around the world, especially since COVID-19. For episode #14 I sit down with my friend Anthony, a competitive gamer and we talk about what sparked the interest, what keeps him gaming, and why Super Smash Bros Melee is the best game of all time. We also break down things like jobs Anthony had growing up, his trips to Japan, and his life as a software developer. For episode 13 I'm joined by my great friend Ashanti. We studied chemistry together in college, but our friendship is much more than just lab partners - we actually don't even talk much chemistry in the episode! We take a deep dive into the art and the intricacies of fly fishing, playing the long game in life, getting our asses kicked by computers in chess, why sometimes the easiest way is not always the best way, pursuing one's passions, and how to be great at whatever you do. I learned a lot in this one and I know you will too. This Dan returns to the pod! We have been chatting it up on the phone like this since we were in 4th or 5th grade so this one came pretty naturally. We discussed capitalism v marxism, democracy vs authoritarianism, the surveillance state, Kanye and his upcoming presidential run, the adequacy of humanity's response to the climate crisis, how the Swedes handled coronavirus, whether or not Bitcoin has the makings of world reserve currency, and can stocks go up forever? I hope you enjoy this one half as much as we did recording it for you, because we had a ball. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pokinglife/support

This week I sit down with my friend Warren. Warren and I were both on the high school wrestling team. He was really good. Me... Not so much. We caught up after close to 10 years (we are old now). Since high school, Warren has earned degrees in both astrophysics and applied physics. We sit down and talk about that, what got him interested in it, whether or not aliens exist, the godfather of string theory, the cosmos, and much more. We also get to shift gears and talk about things like personal finance, financial literacy, and what we wish we knew when we were kids. This is an awesome one. In episode number 2 I chat it up with my good friend Conor. Conor is one of the coolest, most interesting guys I've ever met. We talk about garnishing cocktails, blending cow hearts, biosynthetic pacemakers, super rare diseases, life as a newlywed, coronavirus (duh), Bitcoin (duh), UBI, the Yang Gang, and the future of gaming. *Note - Still working on some audio sync issues but I think the volume is better. Also, made a mistake about Costco's vodka brand, I was thinking of some other generic brand. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pokinglife/support
Thanks for checking out the pilot episode. I thought I'd talk with one of my best friends Dan and his dad Mats. Mats has an extensive background in neuroscience and molecular biology -- I also heard from Dan he has some interesting theories on COVID-19. So, I thought it would be fun to chat with him about it. Dan knows his stuff too so I asked him to join. In the episode we cover Mats' love for science, his journey to the USA, what he and Dan think of coronavirus, Bernie Sanders, climate change, how Reagan destroyed the pharmaceutical industry, and shorting stocks/buying Bitcoin (not financial advice). --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pokinglife/support
