California's District 7 covers much of Sacramento County. Incumbent Dr. Ami Bera is a Democrat who was first elected in 2012 and has faced tough Republican challengers in past elections. California's District 9 includes most of San Joaquin County and part of Sacramento County. The incumbent, Rep. Jerry McNerney, is a 6-term Democrat. His challenger, Republican Marla Livengood, is currently the Regulatory Affairs Manager for the CA Strawberry Commission.

California's District 4 covers Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, and Tuolumne Counties, along with parts of Nevada and Placer Counties. Incumbent Tom McClintock is a 5-term Republican and is being challenged by Jessica Morse, a Democrat who's worked as a National Security Strategist.
