The standoff with Iran has reached a critical tipping point, and the regime's desperate stall tactics are proving no match for America's crippling economic blockades. Bill notes that networks such as NewsDay and more are censoring stories, leaving viewers confused, like in the recent Long Island Wendy's stabbing case that sparked major attention.

Two months in, $25 billion spent, more than a dozen Americans dead, gas at 4.30 a gallon — and now Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump want to change the subject from Iran to Cuba. This is the forever war machine in real time: shift the target, claim the win, drag allies along, and hope the country doesn't notice. The angry middle is noticing. And they don't feel safer. Pete Hegseth is on the ropes, and the political class is finally asking the questions that should have been asked two months and 25 billion dollars ago. In this solo briefing, Paul Rieckhoff breaks down why the Secretary of Defense keeps comparing Iran to Venezuela — because he wants you to think it was a win — and why the next target on the board is Cuba. The polling hasn't moved. Americans don't support this war. Wars don't get more popular over time, and the man running this one served in one that proved it. This is a no-BS look at how the forever war machine drives away our allies, threatens the bases in Germany and Italy that have kept America secure for generations, and leaves the homeland exposed to domestic terrorism while DHS sits shuttered. Paul lays out the math that actually matters in 2026: 27 percent Republican, 27 percent Democrat, 45 percent independent — and 60 percent of young people unaffiliated. The future is none of the above. From Graham Platner's open field against Susan Collins in Maine to gas at 4.30 a gallon, the angry middle is the battlefield, and this episode is the briefing on how to read it. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Ditch your expensive carrier and support Independent Americans! Today on Stinchfield, we expose the real reason Spirit Airlines crashed and burned and it’s not gas prices. The Biden DOJ’s decision to block the JetBlue merger was the final nail in the coffin for a struggling airline. Democrats unreasonable fear of monopolies and big conglomerates is part of the issue. Free markets should be just that. Dominance should be applauded. Where monopiles become problems is when government creates them through a bureaucratic licensing and regulatory system that literally creates the winners and losers. Add to that an unsustainable business model that catered almost exclusively to the lowest-cost travelers, and it’s no wonder Spirit became a punchline rather than a preferred airline. Join us as we break down the policies, missteps, and political interference that sealed Spirit’s fate—and why the airline’s demise is a warning about government overreach and bad business decisions.

Democrats in Colorado are expected to retain control of the state legislature, governor's mansion, and every statewide office this year, but that doesn't mean conservatives aren't having an impact! Logan M. Davis is a reporter with the progressive media outlet Colorado Times Recorder, and he's dedicated himself to untangling the mysterious web of think tanks, dark money groups and billionaires who are finding ways to push public policy in our state to the right. Davis joins host Bree Davies to dig into “The Redprint”, his ongoing investigation into how the money moves and where the power lies. Bree and Logan talked about two ballot measures – one focused on harsher sentencing for fentanyl possession and the other to allow local law enforcement to work with ICE – that will be on Colorado ballots this fall. The White House Correspondents' Dinner last weekend became the site of the third failed attempt to assassinate President Donald Trump. “I remember the feeling was very similar to when it was clear that the House had been invaded on January 6, 2021,” Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who was in attendance, tells The Intercept Briefing. “Everybody was afraid that somebody had come in with an AR-15 or something like that.”This week on the podcast, host Akela Lacy speaks to Raskin about his experience at the dinner and later being asked by CNN's Dana Bash about whether he's thinking twice about his “heated rhetoric” toward Trump. “It was curious that, in the wake of this terrible episode, that she would try to equate the way that Democrats talk and the way that President Trump talks,” says Raskin. “He calls people crazy, insane. He calls people evil, wicked. He will buttonhole reporters and tell them that they're stupid, they're ugly. ... But we try to keep it at the level of policies and their actions.” Some examples, which Raskin discusses, is his forthcoming investigation into Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's role in the administration and conflicts of interest, and his fight in Congress to stop the reauthorization of warrantless surveillance on Americans. After this latest assassination attempt on Trump's life, claims that it was staged flooded the internet, from comments section to social media posts to videos of influencers dissecting alleged evidence.“We are so conditioned to distrust what we are being told by authorities that people immediately began concocting conspiracy theories about it even before we even knew what had happened. Whether it was a shooting or just dishes breaking,” says journalist Mike Rothschild. He's the author of “The Storm is Upon Us,” the first complete book on the QAnon conspiracy movement, and more recently, a 200-year history of conspiracy theories called “Jewish Space Lasers.”Rothschild joins Lacy to unpack the growing world of conspiracy theories that question whether the multiple assassination attempts against Trump were staged. They also dive into other conspiracy theories currently capturing the public imagination, such as the dead and missing scientists and a wildfire in Georgia. “This is one of our more fun and disturbing interviews,” says Lacy. For more, listen to the full conversation of The Intercept Briefing on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen.Keep our investigations free and fearless at theintercept.com/join. Public polls are showing that Democrats now have the advantage over Republicans on the economy, a milestone. Strikingly, Politico reports that a newly-leaked memo from a GOP-aligned group actually confirms the same thing. The memo warns that the group's internal polling and research “show that for the first time, Democrats are more trusted on the economy and inflation.” It also warns that Republicans are in serious danger of losing the Senate, and strongly urges Republicans to overhaul their economic messaging in a big way. That is an absolute fiasco for Trump: It's his economy that is putting the GOP in such grave danger. Indeed, this comes as inflation just spiked again. We talked to New Republic staff writer Monica Potts, who's been doing good reporting on how ordinary Americans are experiencing the economy. We discuss why the GOP midterm panic is such a damning indictment of Trump, why Democrats leading on the issue is a sea change, and how they can seize control over our economic debates in a more ambitious way. Mark talks about how Democrats have tried to redraw voting districts in some states, which he says would make it harder for white voters to have a say. The Supreme Court of the United States also made headlines this week with a decision that scales back parts of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Governor Kathy Hochul is pushing a new law to ban ICE from operating anywhere in New York. With the governor's race heating up, she's also expected to go after some of Bruce Blakeman's campaign points. Manhattan's busiest Trader Joe's, at 72nd and Broadway, is closing for renovations on May 17th.
On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, the global and especially American situation is very dark, grave, and worsening daily. Europe has fallen to a jihadi Islamist crusade while unprecedented antisemitism targets Jews walking the streets in the U.S. while every synagogue spends fortunes on security. The Democrat Party no longer offers support to Jews, as it has been taken over and devoured by Islamists and Marxists who are welcome there. Also, the Supreme Court issued a major decision upholding that the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was never intended to allow creation of congressional districts based on race; it aimed instead to end race-based segregation in the South. The ruling reaffirms that districts cannot be drawn with racial intent to discriminate or guarantee outcomes, requiring actual evidence of intent to block minorities' opportunity to elect candidates of their choice rather than mere allegations. Democrats have misused the Act to advance their party by creating race-conscious districts, treating certain racial groups as reliable voters and fearing losses in majority-white areas, contrary to the Act's original colorblind aim. Later, Rep Byron Donalds calls in and reports that Gov Ron DeSantis submitted a new congressional map, which the legislature passed and the governor plans to sign. This is a strong reflection of the Florida's political framework. He also explains that the Democrat Party are a bunch of limousine liberals. They love everything being handed to them, but they do not have an appreciation for the market system and for free enterprise. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

What happens when the leader of the free world decides the best place for diplomacy is a late-night, ALL-CAPS social media spiral? Stephanie Miller breaks down the White House's new "press-first, logic-later" strategy and finding the dark humor in the high-stakes chaos. She also wades into the absolute absurdity of James Comey's "seashell indictment"—a legal saga so bizarre it makes the last decade of politics look like a calm day at the beach. She then pulls back the curtain on the Supreme Court's recent hits to the Voting Rights Act and discusses why expanding the bench isn't just a progressive pipe dream anymore—it's a survival tactic for racial equality and a necessary check on a MAGA majority that has clearly traded their robes for jerseys. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the AP article reporting James Comey's second indictment was grotesque propaganda - an opinion piece that leads with accusations of vindictive prosecution by the Trump administration's Justice Department. The piece notes Comey's history feuding with Trump and his role in the Russia investigation but these details are irrelevant to the charge. Comey's explanation for the 8647 seashells is unbelievable—especially for a former FBI director. Also, Iran is overflowing with oil and desperately seeking storage in quarries, old ships, and anywhere possible because President Trump has effectively shut down the Strait of Hormuz—taking it over in response to Iran's actions—preventing them from exporting oil. They continue pumping but have nowhere to store it; shutting down the wells risks destroying or rendering many unworkable. The U.S. should give Iran two options – unconditional surrender or we finish Iran off. Later, the Democrat Party has a long history of violence and embracing humanity's worst traits. Democrats target Trump because he stands between them and the people, loves America and its founding. Their inflammatory language, labeling Trump as Hitler or a dictator, is designed to incite violence against ICE, police, and the president through mobs funded by billionaires and networks. Americans see through this. Afterward, Bruce Blakeman calls in to discuss his run for Governor of NY against Kathy Hochul. Common-sense Democrats are supporting him because the Democratic Party has shifted to far-left progressive woke policies that are un-American, denigrate the country, and have abandoned traditional American values once shared by figures like Moynihan and Scoop Jackson.
