She is affiliated with NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and has been involved with this organization for the last 8.5 years. I've invited her on to Talking Taiwan as a guest since July is BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) Mental Health Month. Emily spoke with me about her own struggles with mental health, and suicide. She has a passion for working with youths on mental health related issues. She also shared her thoughts about the oppression and trauma experienced firsthand or as generational trauma by the people of Taiwan, and how it could impact one's mental health.   About Emily Wu Truong:   Emily Wu Truong is an award-winning mental health advocate, nationally-recognized motivational speaker, catalytic thought leader, community educator, playwright and published author. For over a decade, Emily has worked tirelessly to create more compassionate & accepting communities by bringing mental health education wherever she goes. En un cortijo del pueblo de Paradas, situado en la capital andaluza. Los cadáveres de Martín, Ramón, Asunción y José aparecieron en la finca. El cuerpo de Manuel, aparecería 3 días después. Se pensó que había sido un solo hombre… más tarde que los asesinos tenían que haber sido al menos 2. Horror, Tensión, Miedo, Fantasmas, Asesinatos, Casas Encantadas o Parricidios, serán los temas que tocaremos. Primero el escritor Mick Lazar, desde Argentina, me mandó una historia sobre un Circo ambulante. El Circo de los Zares, procedente de los Cárpatos, hizo parada en el Barrio de Flores, Buenos Aires. En él, viajaba Belek, el Enano Vampiro. Podéis visitar y leer sus escritos en su web, sotanoliterario1.blogspot.com. Después, desde Nicaragua, Carolina Alemán, me mandó leyendas sobre la Mocuana y la Quinta Angélica. Esta última, una casa, rodeada de la planta del café, en Las Sierras de Managua. Entre sus muros, comentan que los espíritus, los fantasmas, incluso los crímenes, son algo habitual. Aunque la familia Aguilar, dueños del inmueble, siempre han negado cualquier tema sobrenatural. La tercera historia, como no podía ser de otra manera, viajaremos a México, de la mano del amigo, Alejandro Acosta. Os narraré, dos historias vividas por él y por su tío, fallecido tras caer del caballo, por haber oído y visto, a la Llorona. Introduciéndonos en los primeros posibles orígenes de esta impresionante leyenda. Pues desde la época azteca y las diosas que Moctezuma y su gente idolatraba, Cihuacóatl , Coatlicue o Tonantzin, ya se hablaba de esta aparición. También se ha hablado de que podía ser, Doña Marina o la Malinche, mujer que compartió vida con Hernán Cortés en la conquista de México. Por último, Walter Sarabia, del programa Narraciones de un Burro y Más, nos lleva a El Salvador, para contarnos la leyenda del Monje sin Cabeza.
