These investigations, potential impeachment efforts, and plans to subpoena administration officials and even members of Trump's family are part of a broader effort to weaken Trump's presidency, advance partisan power, and position themselves for future political gains. This reflects a push toward one-party control, distracts from economic concerns, undermines institutions and traditions, and threatens the agenda voters elected Trump to carry out. Later, Zohran Mamdani says socialism means everyone should have what they need to live a dignified life and that it is the government's job to provide it. This removes personal responsibility and requires taking money from hardworking people to give to others.  Socialism does not create prosperity, put groceries on shelves, or increase people's income, but instead empowers bureaucrats while restricting individual freedom. Core drilling just started on the boat-shaped ridge in eastern Turkey that some people have called Noah's Ark since a Turkish Army captain spotted it from the air in 1959. The Durupinar formation sits in the Tendurek Mountains near Mount Ararat, about 164 meters long — close to the 300-cubit length in Genesis. Modern geologists have treated it for decades as limestone and volcanic clay carved by erosion. David Fasold measured it in the 1980s, called it a fossilized deck, then later dismissed the ark theory himself. Now a Sivas Cumhuriyet University team, with Turkish government approval, has run the first real core drill into it. Andrew Jones says the biggest early finding is that the formation is soil, not a solid rock mass worn into a ship shape. Radar work has picked up right angles, possible tunnels, and voids a few meters down. Earlier soil tests found about three times more organic matter inside the outline than on the hillside next to it. The samples are headed to labs in Ankara. A full report is not expected until 2027. The fundraising side did not wait. Lauren Witzke, handling marketing for the Noah's Ark Scans effort, has already said university curricula will need to be rewritten and Darwinism dismantled — while an underground robot, adapted from a machine built to explore wombat burrows, is still collecting footage. In 2021, California voters were asked whether or not to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom from office. But there was also a second question on the ballot: Who should replace the governor if he was recalled? The recall ultimately failed. But if it had succeeded, Republican talk show host Larry Elder, who won roughly 48% of the vote in that second question, would have become governor. Proposition 5 would change this process by eliminating the second question from recall ballots for statewide office.
