Fresh polling by multiple agencies shows Trump losing support, bigly. ABC says Trump has the “lowest 100-day approval rating in 80 years.” Results are similar from CNN and AP. Over the weekend, President Trump slapped down his first tariffs against America's two biggest trading partners, Canada and Mexico. He insists this is mainly about border safety, undocumentedmigrants, and the flow of drugs and contraband into America. Canada and Mexico stood strong both insisting retaliatory measures are coming.Under Trump's tariffs, most products from Mexico and Canada will get a 25% tariff except for Canadian oil at 10%. Trump is also putting  an additional 10% tariff on goods from China in addition to existing duties. There is a federal law (enacted as a result of Trump's first term) that Congress must be given 30 days notice before an inspector general can be fired.  Laws be damned. Trump and his team fired at least 12 inspectors general over the weekend. These jobs at federal agencies came about after Watergate and were meant to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse in the government. Inspectors General hold agencies to account and help keep everything on up and up. The end of presidential campaigning seems to be heightening Trump‘s anger at… well, everything. After some violent words toward the press and Liz Cheney and a long, weird and inappropriate rant about his microphone malfunctioning at a weekend rally, he's now incensed over new polling data out of Iowa putting Vice President Kamala Harris in the lead. The Seizer poll for the Des Moines Register has Harris over Trump by three points. The pollster tells MSNBC Harris leads in Iowa's early voting “because of her strength with women generally, even stronger with women aged 65 and older. Video shows a steady stream of people leaving while Trump spoke. One note: Trump is now promising to build a dome over America.  Trump's appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast was long and meandering.  He was allowed to lie again and again unchecked.  Vice President Kamala Harris had a massive rally in Texas that featured Beyonce and Willie Nelson. Trump seems to be having more serious mental issues. Over the weekend at a rally, he referred to the late golfer Arnold Palmer's penis size. He's also sticking to his nonsensical lie that Kamala Harris never worked at McDonald's and showed up to work at a McDonald's cooking up french fries. Last week, he decided to play music at a town hall event and sway back and forth rather than take questions. Add to that his recent disrespect of auto workers, comparing the work they do to child's play, insulting Detroit in front of room full of Detroiters and while standing in California, threatening to withhold wildfire aid. It may be these “off the rails “type of appearances that have his staff canceling some pretty major interviews. The event was held in Butler, Pennsylvania, the sight of the first Trump attempted assassination. In addition to his bizarre jumping for joy cheerleading routine, when Musk spoke, he called himself “Dark MAGA.”  His mother, Maye Musk, took to X and encouraged people to create fake names and vote multiple times as she bashed immigrants. X had to tag her comments with a disclaimer about that being illegal and she later recanted.
