We are living in challenging times. The Bible warns us that these times would come and there has always been a conflict between God's word and the world. The word says not to do certain things and the world tells us the exact opposite. We know that its always to our best interest (because God has you in mind) to follow the word instead of the world. God would protect them for their strong dedication to Him. Sometime we are put in difficult positions as Christians but that should not determine who we serve as children of God.
