Two Brothers. One a lifelong Manchester United fan and the other - a Chelsea FC fanatic. In this podcast we discuss and review both the Chelsea and United games for the 20/21 season. A Manchester United & Chelsea Podcast
Welcome to our first episode of 2022! We try our best cover the last 5 months on the league, we touch on Ronaldo and his return to United, Ole getting sacked and Ralf Rangnick being appointed Interim Manager at United. The Top 4 and league positions are discussed as Arsenal play City in the background during recording, does this result decide the League Title already? Marc discusses Chelsea's season so far and the recent interview comments from their striker Romelu Lukaku, is he finished with Chelsea? Lastly we mention the Champions League and the draw for the last 16. If you enjoy the show, please give us a 5 star rating on Spotify or whichever platform you chose to listen on. On this episode we welcome back friend of the show Matty to discuss the transfer windows of both United & Chelsea and how well we think each club will do this season. We also give our thoughts on who will make top 4, what teams will get European places and who we think will be relegated. Grealish & Kane to Man City is touched on along with Messi going to PSG & if fans are sleeping on Liverpool. We try our best to predict the teams that will win domestic and European silverware & finally look to the opening games of the season - as United take on Leeds & Chelsea face Crystal Palace.
On this episode I talk to my friend and fellow United supporter Matty, as we dive into dissecting the season and give our views on the Europa League final defeat, how we would rate the season, Ole as a United manager - his strengths and weaknesses, what the team needs to improve, the incoming transfer window, the Glazer Protests and also touch on the Goalkeeper situation between Henderson and De Gea. Really great episode and conversation which we hope you all enjoy! It's gone as quick as it came - with draws to Everton and Arsenal, topped off with a woeful loss to bottom of the league Sheffield United, it seems Ole's title charge is over. Still in 2nd place but 5 points behind leaders Man City who have a game in hand. Marc briefly reflects on the sacking of Frank Lampard and looks to the future as Thomas Tuchel takes the reigns at Chelsea. Tommy T's Chelsea now sit 1 point behind 4th place Liverpool after taking over them in 10th. We also go off on a Jose Mourinho tangent, his fall from the best manager in the world but will he still be considered one of the greatest of our time? In football, a lot can happen in 3 months. A lot. In an astonishing turn of events, Ole's United sit top of the league on 40 points, as Frank has drifted back to 8th on 29 points. My brother breaks down what he feels has gone wrong at Chelsea and discusses if “It's time to go!” for Super Frank. We touch on United's form under Ole and try to evaluate the Top 4 after 19 games played.
We discuss 4 football games, EFL cup matches Chelsea vs Tottenham and Brighton vs United. Then into the premier league with Crystal Palace vs Chelsea and United vs Tottenham - a woeful performance from United with a devastating loss - is this the beginning of the end for Ole? We look at the transfer window as it is now closed, rate each other windows and once again discuss United as a football club (business). We also do a quick run down of the astonishing loss Liverpool suffered against Aston Villa.
Marc and I go through some of the football matches this past week including the league cup games - United vs Luton & Chelsea vs Barnsley. Of course we get into the Premier League games also as United went away to Brighton and Chelsea took on newly promoted side West Brom with the two games being an utter madness - both teams expected a win but it was far from being the usual run of the mill performances from our respected clubs. We briefly touch on All or Nothing Spurs documentary and we look to next week for predictions on some big games, including United vs Spurs & Chelsea vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League, and league cup games against Brighton & Spurs. Hope you all enjoy!
On this episode we discuss the opening games of the season for Chelsea and United, with Chelsea just about getting past Brighton 3-1 and United with a shocking and dismal performance losing 3-1 at home. Lastly we take a look at Chelsea's loss to Liverpool, how a red card completely changed the game and we welcome a special guest and Liverpool supporter Paul who shares his thoughts and feelings on what is going on at United, while Liverpool go from strength to strength. Enjoy guys!
Two Brothers. Two Football clubs. In this special episode myself and my brother discuss Man United and Chelsea coming into the new season. Marc defends his decision of changing his support for United to Chelsea at 8 years old - and still gets abuse for the Turncoat switch. We talk about the transfer window so far, Ole vs Lampard, who will win a title first and much more. We may do a new podcast dedicated to Football so keep an eye out!
