Also musste ein neuer Trainer her.

There's no sign of the debate around England's form cooling down. Square pegs in round holes, or is everyone just a bit tired? Gregor Robertson is joined by Alyson Rudd, Charlotte Duncker and Hamzah Khalique-Loonat to attempt to answer those questions and more. Finally, 21 games in, we've had our first 0-0 draw. But the Netherlands and France still provided plenty of talking points. One being VAR (yawn). Ukraine brought the emotion in an impressive comeback win against Slovakia. And it turns out Ralf Rangnick is a genius, who knew?! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

England needs to use it's bench, we have such good players, and after a long season for most of them we have to use our squad. Belgium

Hello Rank Squad! It's time to get stuck into this summer's international football, so here's the second of our series of Euro 2024 Preview Shows! We start with Group C, which include England's Three Lions who got to the final of the last tournament, a pessimistic Serbia looking for a bright end to a talented core, an ageing Denmark side who have opted for experience over change, and underdogs Slovenia, boasting talent at both ends. Then it's onwards in Part Two to discuss tournament favourites France, a Netherlands side that should probably be better than they are right now, dark horses Austria under Ralf Rangnick's distinct style, and a Poland team who squeaked through to the tournament in the playoffs. We talk each team's chances of progression and outright victory, as well as the players upon which their dreams will rise and fall, and the managers trying to guide their nations to glory. If you haven't already, go back and listen to yesterday's episode discussing Groups A & B; and tomorrow we'll round off this series with the lowdown on Groups E and F. It's Ranks!  And remember, if you'd like more from the Rank Squad, including extra podcasts every Monday and Friday (including our weekly Postbox taking a look at the whole weekend of football) and access to our brilliant Discord community, then why not join us here on Patreon?

Bayern Munich's season might be over, but its offseason is already in full swing. The coaching search could be over, the roster overhaul could be starting, and fans can only sit and wait for everything to play out. What do we do in the meantime? Let's discuss it all! This is what we have on tap for the episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Bayern Munich seems very close to hiring Vincent Kompany (where have we heard that before? Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick, Hansi Flick, Thomas Tuchel Roberto De Zerbi...) and why this time, fans should take it very seriously without feeling like Charlie Brown trying to kick that damn football. The positives of hiring Kompany — his playing experience, his ability to relate to players, his style preferences match Bayern Munich's ideals. The negatives — no competitive big game experience, has never coached in major competitions for a high profile club, his locker room command might not jibe with the egos and personalities in Munich, and he just got RELEGATED. All that, plus Bayern Munich cannot afford to miss...again...on this hire. What's the Weekend Warm-up's verdict? Well, this might be a little risky. Aside of that, Chris Führich and Theo Hernandez could be on their way to Bavaria, while Jamal Musiala could be on his way out in 2025. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
