Episode Notes Despite being in his 80s, this week's very special guest has shown no signs of slowing down . . .and as proof, he became a published author just last year!! Introducing Bill Burton, a Henderson native who graced us in 2025 with a novel entitled "Turn A Blind Eye". This book opens our eyes and minds to Mr. Burton's childhood, when Henderson was commonly referred to as "Little Chicago". Join Bill as he sheds light on the (technically) illegal activity that often went unpunished in Henderson during the 40s and 50s, which ultimately served as the inspiration behind his recent written work. He'll also discuss other aspects of his Henderson upbringing, his career background, and the spark behind his desire to write a book as a retiree. Finally, he offers a brief preview of the characters and plot awaiting us in the novel. So enjoy soaking up the story of the brilliant Bill Burton . . .and after listening intently to the man himself, be sure to purchase your copy of "Turn A Blind Eye" by simply visiting the web page linked here: https://www.turnablindeyenovel.com/. Having Gunnar Henderson bat second every day is having a widespread negative effect on the team. Nolan and Bob believe that his lack of patience at the plate is a big source of the ongoing slump.
It's difficult to single anyone out in the Orioles lineup for their poor provenance last night, but Gunnar Henderson going 0-for-5 is another tough look for a player who is already slumping.

Longtime Orioles writer Rich Dubroff witnessed the Orioles 6th inning meltdown in person yesterday. He gave his opinion on the controversial call and the tough loss.
Cynthia Henderson shared a great message on letting go and leaving behind the baggage that holds us back. She shared the importance of letting go of negative emotions such as anger, regret, worry, and fear. These emotions can weigh us down and hinder our spiritual growth. We need to embrace forgiveness, heal from past hurts, and surrender our burdens to God.
Even as the Las Vegas Valley's largest nonprofit animal shelter has routinely dealt with overcrowding, Henderson's shelter recently reported a live release of 91 percent so far this year. So what's making the difference – and can the rest of the city replicate that success? Yvette Fernandez, Regional Reporter in the Mountain West News Bureau for Nevada Public Radio, and executive producer Layla Muhammad join host Jesse Merrick to find out. Plus, the team discusses why NV Energy executives are drawing protests amid surging energy costs, and whether new life for a downtown motel could spell the start of a wider revitalization. Then, in our member's only bonus segment, we break down the best advice for what to do – and what not to do – when you're moving to Las Vegas. Want to get in touch? Plus, she discusses her support for bills signed by the County Executive this week limiting federal immigration enforcement in the county, and we ask her to weigh in on the County Executive race. The D.C. Council is set for its first budget vote next week. It's been a challenging year as federal cuts and a decline in tax revenue have forced city leaders to weigh big cuts. The season is overBrentford came within a cat's whisker of embarking on a European tour next season. It was close, but ultimately no cigar. Yet when you consider that plenty of pundits, bookmakers and rival fans had the Bees tipped for a relegation battle before a ball was kicked, finishing 9th in the Premier League - equalling the club's highest-ever top-flight finish - represents another remarkable achievementWith the dust settling on the season, Beesotted sat down with Brentford Head Coach Keith Andrews for a wide-ranging and candid conversation recorded at the One Over The Ait pubAt the start of the season, Andrews could barely escape the "free-kick coach" label. Nine months later, he's guided Brentford to another top-half Premier League finish and established himself as his own man in the dugout. This conversation offers a fascinating insight into the thinking, personality and decision-making of a coach who faced plenty of challenges during his first season in chargeKeith discusses Thiago, World Cup call-ups, his journey from pundit to Brentford coach, his passion for Ireland and Irish football, and the pride he takes in helping develop the next generation of players and coachesHe also opens up about Yoane Wissa's decision not to play for Brentford at the start of the season, dealing with the upheaval and uncertainty that surrounded the club during the summer, the opening-day defeat against Forest that left many supporters fearing the worst, what went wrong away at Fulham, the memorable victory over Manchester United, and his reflections on a first season that ultimately exceeded most expectationsAs with any honest football conversation, some questions are answered directly, others are explored in greater depth, and a few remain open to interpretation. But throughout the interview, Andrews provides genuine insight into the challenges, pressures and rewards of leading a Premier League football club with small budgetPart Two will be available shortly on PrideOfWest.London and all major podcast platformsMake sure you FOLLOW Beesotted so the podcast drops straight into your feed the moment it is releasedAnd get hold of your exclusive Thiago, Henderson, Hickey and Ajer World Cup T-Shirts at the Bees Megastore on beesotted.com Hosted on Acast. Many real estate teams try to build an appointment-fed model with ISAs serving agents ready-to-go opportunities. This can work - it can create efficient production. But when Ryan Crighton and Danny Rinaldi tried it, they discovered it wasn't building agents who were as strong and well-rounded as they wanted.Learn how the shift from appointment-fed to well-rounded happened, including what prompted it, what it took, and what it produced for their 23-agent team serving clients in Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City.Learn the accountability structure that's enforced more by the environment than by team leaders and the vibe-first recruiting approach that attracts new agents who exceed performance standards before anyone asks them to.And learn how Danny evolved from ISA to coach to sales manager, what that role looks like day to day, and how he and Ryan complement each other in a partnership that lets each of them operate in their strongest area.Watch or listen for Danny's and Ryan's insights into:0:00 Intro and welcome1:22 Being in the weeds as the must-have characteristic — and why agents watch what you do more than they ask what to do2:08 The difference between vibe and culture — and why vibe is what actually drives performance and retention4:11 How Ryan built from REO listings in the 2008 downturn to a 23-agent brokerage team, and how Danny went from Brooklyn phone sales to Las Vegas sales manager10:00 Why new agents book appointments before they know anything about real estate — and why knowledge without attitude slows them down16:17 Why Danny leads recruiting conversations with vibe, not accountability — and how accountability reveals itself before the agent ever joins17:34 How the Creighton Rinaldi accountability system enforces itself. While "just the facts" might be one way to ask questions, it's certainly not the ONLY way. And, if you're not careful, your interviewing style could get you all the wrong answers. This week we're joined by Dr. Ray Joslyn to discuss ALL the behavior analytic research there is on forensic interviewing. Is it the way we ask the questions or our responses to answers that influence accuracy the most? Are children or adults the most impacted by misleading statements?
