Apresentada na seção Croisière, a mostra tem curadoria de Philippe Baudouin e explora a "cultura da dúvida visual" por meio de arquivos da NASA e de obras contemporâneas que investigam o fenômeno dos OVNIs. Gui Christ contribui com imagens realizadas no Vale do Amanhecer, um complexo espiritual próximo a Brasília que reúne doutrinas de diferentes tradições em um cenário visualmente instigante, semelhante a um parque temático futurista e místico. "Fiz esse trabalho para a National Geographic em 2018. O Vale do Amanhecer é uma religião brasileira fundada por Tia Neia, uma médium, na década de 1960 em Planaltina, Goiás. É uma religião que possui uma característica muito presente na religiosidade brasileira, a capacidade de reunir diferentes tradições espirituais, diferentes formas de compreender o mundo", explica. "Dentro dessa religião, convivem referências do cristianismo, do espiritismo, dos saberes indígenas, de religiões afro-brasileiras e também a crença em extraterrestres. Na categoria Prêmio Descoberta Fondation Louis Roederer 2026, o laboratório La.Ima, coordenado em Paris por Ioana Mello e Oleñka Carrasco, apresenta o trabalho do senegalês Souleymane Bachir Diaw. Sua série, intitulada "Sutura", será exibida no espaço Monoprix e investiga as "verdades não ditas" presentes nas estruturas patriarcais. Segundo a curadora Ioana Mello, o projeto aborda a masculinidade no Senegal e como ela "se revela dentro da estrutura patriarcal familiar e no deslocamento do artista, que hoje mora em Paris; de como ele vê essas verdades a partir desse novo olhar, desse novo contexto". Utilizando tecidos e imagens performáticas, a obra propõe uma "reparação das feridas íntimas e sociais". No festival Arles OFF, Carolina Arantes apresenta "First Generation". Com curadoria de Denise Camargo e Azu Nwagbogu, a mostra é resultado de uma pesquisa sobre mulheres francesas de ascendência africana. O projeto reúne depoimentos e entrevistas das mulheres retratadas, com design sonoro de Isadora Dartial e mixagem de Sulivan Clabaut. "O trabalho é sobre como essa identidade vai sendo construída por meio da vida privada delas, no cotidiano. É sobre como o espaço público da história de um país e a vida pessoal dessas mulheres se encontram nesse processo de construção de uma França contemporânea", explica Carolina Arantes. A exposição combina esses registros sonoros a retratos íntimos, arquivos de família e fotografia documental, criando um mosaico das pessoas que definem a nova geração da sociedade francesa. A Associação Iandé, organização francesa que estabelece pontes entre a fotografia brasileira e a Europa, organiza exposições imersivas de artistas brasileiras sob o tema "Os Arquivos e o Íntimo", com curadoria de Gláucia Nogueira e Jonathan Pierredon. "A partir de arquivos pessoais, Rochelle Zandavale, Melissa Flores e Luciana Petrelli constroem narrativas onde a memória vira imagem e o privado conversa um pouco a história coletiva. Também há uma série chamda 'I've Never Been to Japan', que fala sobre a imigração japonesa no Brasil a partir de arquivos pessoais. É uma forma também de celebrar o bicentenário da fotografia", explica Gláucia Nogueira. Retrospectivas e atividades paralelas A 57ª edição do festival propõe uma imersão em narrativas que atravessam o continente africano e a região do Mediterrâneo para questionar identidades e histórias. Além dos destaques individuais, o evento reúne grandes nomes da fotografia contemporânea e histórica, como Omar Victor Diop e Lee Shulman (com o projeto The Anonymous Project – Being There), Clément Cogitore (Memory Palace), além de mostras dedicadas a Paul Kodjo, Rebekka Deubner e Orianne Ciantar Olive. Laura und Ole Sondermann kommen beide aus Nordrhein Westfahlen. Laura lernte Hotelkauffrau im Seeblick Genuss & Spa Resort auf Amrum; Ole machte eine Kochlehre auf der Nachbarinsel Sylt im Hotel Rungholt. Nach einer gemeinsamen Station in Lech am Arlberg in Österreich kam das Ehepaar zurück an die Nordsee und wurden auf der Insel Föhr sesshaft. Seit April 2026 betreiben sie die Namine Witt. Was sich hinter dem ungewöhnlichen Namen verbirgt, wie ihr gastronomisches Konzept aussieht und warum sie Neumitglied vom Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival in seiner 40. Saison geworden sind, verrät Ole Sondermann bei einem lockeren Gespräch in ihrem Konzeptstore Speisenkammer in Wyk auf Föhr.

Dana hat sich mit Google selbst diagnostiziert – und lag tatsächlich richtig. Ole war auf einer Hochzeit und hat dort seine ganz eigenen Beobachtungen gemacht, während sich alles um die große Frage drehte, welche Internetseiten wir eigentlich am meisten nutzen. Ergebnis: Ole nutzt gefühlt nur Apps, Dana lebt auf dem Regenradar und der Münch… nun ja, der ist eher in speziellen Ecken des Internets unterwegs.
