After meeting their host and settling in at Son of the Crane Castle, the samurai attend an opulent dinner hosted by Asahina Takeshi. They make the acquaintance of several fellow court-goers, and run into a few familiar faces as well.
After recovering from a night of celebration with the kitsune of the forest, the samurai bid their farewells and set out for court.

Daiyu, Atsu, and Crow resume their search for poachers in the forest. Things don't go as planned, and they soon make a grim discovery with unsettling implications.
After searching the poachers' camp for clues, Daiyu, Atsu, and Crow return to Kitsune Mori Mura to tend to wounds and report their findings to Kitsune Toshio.
The samurai reconvene following Crow's early morning venture into the woods, then set out in pursuit of the kitsune poachers.
