Following the previous episode, I'm excited to share a “10-Step Reflection Framework” designed to help you review your progress—not with pressure or self-criticism, but with confidence. In today's episode, we will cover the third to the fifth steps. My goal is to help you transform both your successes and your setbacks into incredible opportunities for growth.

A stone that listens to your emotions. A city split into rich, middle, and poor levels. And a sudden transformation that can swallow the metal around you to build a towering robot or a nightmare creature. That's the weird, gritty spark behind Gad Guard, and we give it a fast, high-energy review with just enough detail to help you decide if it belongs on your watchlist. We walk through Unit Blue's three-tier layout, with Night Town's harsh reality sitting under Daytown and Gold Town's polished comfort, then connect that setting to the show's central mechanic: Gads. These mysterious stones act like ultra-valuable currency, but their real danger is how they react to strong feelings, shaping Techos and other forms through violent, material-hungry transformations. If you love sci-fi anime that treats worldbuilding like a pressure cooker, this one has plenty to chew on. From there, we dig into the character lineup and what their machines say about them, from Hajiki and Lightning's speed and aggression to Katana and Zero's cold long-range edge. We also hit Arashi's drive for freedom, Takumi's justice obsession, Aiko's Gold Town expectations, and the way Sayuri changes what you think you know about Katana. We close with what still holds up after two decades, including the jazzy soundtrack, the look, and why we rate Gad Guard an 8 out of 10. If you're into mecha anime, early 2000s sci-fi, or stories where emotion becomes literal power, subscribe for more reviews, share this with a friend who needs a new watch, and leave a rating so more people can find the show.Text us for feedback and recommendations for future episodes!Support the showWe thank everyone for listening to our podcast! Hello again, welcome back! In today’s episode, I want to share the rest of two communication tips that can truly unlock your child's potential and shape who they become — not just as successful students, but as human beings. These are the insights I've gathered over 30 years, watching children grow from toddlers into young adults across both Japanese and Western education systems. Those three tips are: #1 — Build their confidence only through their actions. #2 — Embrace the power of consequence. #3 — Separate their identity from their outcomes. Let's dive in.
This Episode we're talking about Lord of Mysteries. "In a Victorian world of steam, dreadnoughts, and occult horrors, Zhou Mingrui awakens as Klein Moretti. He walks a razor's edge between light and darkness, entangled with warring Churches. This is the legend of unlimited potential…and unspeakable danger." Our next anime is TURKEY! Time to Strike "Mai Otonashi is a second-year student and the captain of the Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club, and recently, she's struggled to win. Whenever she scores a Turkey, three consecutive strikes, she follows it up with an unbeatable split—the Snake Eyes. This is the story of Mai, Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase as they fight, fall, and rise again in pursuit of victory in the final days of summer."

Hi, I’m your host Sayuri. I recently attended one of Asia's largest global innovation conferences “SusHi Tec Tokyo”. It was an incredibly high-energy space where the world's leading experts, entrepreneurs, and investors gathered all together for collaborations. I realized something profound: if you are currently battling challenges, setbacks, or what feel like disadvantages, they might just become your greatest assets. We are entering an era where you can truly change the game. Today, let's explore the possibilities and risks of AI together, and see how we can turn those challenges into our greatest strengths.

Hi, welcome to another episode ! Today, I'd like to delve into another crucial element that defines who we are. The title of today’s episode is “The Uniqueness of Japanese Identity.” I visited Kyoto the other day and spent some time in the stillness of Tadasu-no-mori. In that 2,000-year-old sacred forest, time seemed to stand still. I felt a profound sense of peace—the essence of a delicate aesthetic like Wabi-sabi. This spirit is woven into every film, product, and service we create; it is the very soul of our identity. So, what comes to mind when you hear the phrase “Japanese Identity”?
"Who you are" makes the world a better place「世界に自分軸を輝かせよう」by Sayuri Sense
Let me ask you a question today — what do you think is the most important thing in conversations at international parties? As Australia and Japan marks the 50th anniversary of our Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in 2026, I've been reflecting on my own journey of over 30 years between the two countries. Recently, at a networking event at the Australian Embassy, I was reminded of something truly important. Today, I'd love to share the one key element that creates meaningful and genuine connections.

Hi everyone! I finally had a quiet moment to reflect on 18 years of parenting — a journey that felt both long and incredibly fast. Today, I’d like to walk you through the key milestones that shaped my sons’ paths, from ages 1 to 18, and I hope you find something useful for your own family’s journey. Ages 1-6: Laying the foundation through language and connection. Ages 7-9: Reading stories and discovering character and identity. Ages 10-12: Choosing the environment that nurtures who they truly are — and age 12 was a major turning point, where the path forward became clear. Ages 13-18: Cultivating passions and building their unique niche — and age 18 was the ultimate turning point, where every decision of the past 18 years came together. Each stage brought its own decisions, challenges, and discoveries — and every choice was made with one goal in mind: nurturing the 10 skills within them.

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying this early Spring energy. Today I will share some inspiring messages from the film Train Dreams, which was nominated for 4 Academy Awards in 2026, starring Australian actor Joel Edgerton. I first met him at the Melbourne Film Festival more than 20 years ago only for a brief moment and I felt his magnetic presence immediately. This film left a lasting impression on me — the cinematography and color work were truly beautiful. I hope you will enjoy the messages about life from the film even more after listening to this episode.

Hi everyone! I’m your host, Sayuri. As we wrap up the year, I've had the opportunity to connect with many inspiring people across different industries around the world. It has reminded me how important it is for accurate information to reach those who truly need it. In our last episode, we welcomed Ben Sensei from Bond University, one of the only two private universities in Australia, to talk about the differences between public and private universities. We've also been hearing from alumni, parents, educators, and students through social media and emails, and it's been wonderful to feel these connections growing through this podcast.
