I’m a woman living in the mountain west of the United States. I live with my husband and teenage daughter. Right now we don’t really go anywhere. We are staying at home because of the global pandemic caused by the Coronavirus. We’re being extra careful because I have a lung disease and a suppressed immune system. This is my audio diary of these strange times.
Lots of changes. Mostly good. The world is trying to hold itself together.
A New Years story. Some hope. When will I get vaccinated???
In this episode I go on and on about vaccines and science and magic.
Trump won’t concede. Covid numbers are very bad. Winter is coming.
We had a little getaway. School might be opening. Eat the rich.
Covid birthday. Damn college kids. Fear and loathing. Thanks for good healthcare.
Smokey air. School coming up. Tired. But comfortable.
Plans for the upcoming school year. Record numbers of badness.
Making plans and changing plans. Rest in power John Lewis.
Feels like summer. Getting used to social-distancing life. Recorded while driving. Sorry about the background noise.
Recorded this this morning and I can’t remember.... masks on trails, continuing social distancing, high maintenance dog are included.
News of the pandemic is eclipsed by widespread protests after the killing of George Floyd.
My daughter got all her school stuff done. And helped me color my hair. Took a break from the news.
Food shopping again. How long can our children handle online school? The White House is infected.
Mother’s Day is tomorrow. The snow is almost all gone. I got another hair cut.
1 million cases in Colorado. 3 million worldwide. Republican “leaders” continue to act like death-eaters.
Are we starting to open things up? How long is this going to go on? Has Trump invested in Lysol?
Getting lots of exercise skiing and snowshoeing. Please consume media responsibly.
Thanks for local haicut, food purchasing and computer repair.
First of my audio diary recordings. Friday, March 13. The day before our household lockdown.
