Christmas 1929 in the small north Arkansas town of Germanton would be a great day for many. For six members of the Lawson family, it would end in a flurry gunfire and bloodshed at the hand of family patriarch Charlie Lawson before he took his own life. M. Swift goes into the murder and some of the theories bounced around in part one of a two-part winter holiday edition of That Murder & Mystery Show.On Twitter: M. Swift or Danger Zone 92 On Twitch: M. During the Holiday season of 1933 and into early 1934 a terror gripped the county of Botetourt in Virginia. While no one died, there would be numerous accounts of an individual creeping around locals' residences in the still night and spraying an unknown gas through an open or compromised window. Similar attacks would happen in an entirely different region during the summer of 1944 as the fiend made their presence known in Mattoon, Illinois. Could these two Anesthetic Prowlers--a decade apart--be the same person? M. Swift looks at a few theories and discusses it as he tells the tale of the Mad Gasser.References-Mysterious Universe-Wikipedia-Prarie Ghosts On Twitter: M. Swift or Danger Zone 92 On Twitch: M. On this episode of the Southern Mystery Sunday, we look at the case of Thomas "Tommy" Burkett from December 1991 in Virginia. This case was covered in Unsolved Mysteries and remains a pretty talked about case because of the investigation--or lack of investigation--surrounding the young man's death which leaves more questions than answers.Follow Swift on Twitter @MetalSwift and Danger Zone '92 @DangerZone92Pod.http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Thomas_Burketthttp://www.beyondweird.com/conspiracy/cn08-12.html
In this episode we get into 1923 and 1924 of the case around Birmingham's axe syndicate a series of ax murders and attacks in the Magic City. Also we explore some theories I like.Follow Swift on Twitter @MetalSwift and Danger Zone '92 @DangerZone92Pod.Research source
The Axe Syndicate was said to be a group of axe robbers that sometimes spun out into murder in Birmingham, Alabama during the early part of the 20th century. However looking at cases it appears the Syndicate was more of the media of the time running with an idea than an actual organized group of axe wielding robbers...or was it? In the first episode of Southern Mystery Sundays, we get into the murders and attacks by the Axe Syndicate that occured in 1919 and 1921 and 1922. Tune in next week for part two.Follow Swift on Twitter @MetalSwift and Danger Zone '92 @DangerZone92Pod.Research source
