When Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez team up, the cigar world listens. Following the massive success of the original #1 Cigar of the Year (2019) and the heavily praised Sonata, the duo has returned with the third movement in their musical lineup: the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Concerto. Inspired by the intricate balance of classical compositions, Nodal designed the Concerto to mimic a solo instrument playing alongside a grand orchestra. The “soloist” here is a stunning, exclusive hybrid Criollo '98 wrapper grown on Fernandez's Finca La Lilia farm. Underneath, AJ Fernandez orchestrated a blend of deeply aged Nicaraguan tobaccos—some resting for nearly 12 years—to create a complex flavor. Wrapper: Nicaraguan Criollo Hybrid (Finca La Lilia) Binder: Nicaraguan Filler: Nicaraguan Country of Origin: Nicaragua Factory: AJ Fernandez (Factory not specified) Vitola: Toro Size: 6 x 52 Final Score: 89

According to a 2025 survey, nearly one in three people believes in Bigfoot: that fantastical, forest-dwelling hominid, famously captivating yet camera-shy. And interest is growing. But why? What does science have to say about our contemporary concept of Sasquatch? And how would anyone know what a “Bigfoot call” actually sounds like? Grab your night-vision goggles and join us as journalist Laura Krantz, host of the podcast Wild Thing and author of The Search for Sasquatch, tracks footprints on a journey that will tantalize true believers and skeptics alike. You'll hear early Indigenous stories about Bigfoot-like creatures; learn about the Northern California hoax that first sparked widespread interest in the 1950s; and get a firsthand account of the modern-day Bigfoot-hunting expedition Krantz joined in the wilds of Oregon, where she learned to use apples as bait and distinguish between Bigfoot howls, snorts, and roars. Proof may be elusive, but in its place you'll find mythology, anthropology, pop culture—and the knowledge that sometimes unsolved mysteries are the best kind. Bigfoot hideouts we'll trek to: Six Rivers National Forest, California China Flats Bigfoot Museum, Willow Creek, California Mount Hood National Forest, Oregon Olympic National Park, Washington State Lake Quinault, Washington State Sasquatch Outpost, Bailey, Colorado Guest: Laura Krantz Journalist Laura Krantz believes that exploring the unknown can help us better understand ourselves. In the first season of her acclaimed podcast, Wild Thing, she chased after Sasquatch. Season 2 found her looking skyward for extraterrestrial life. The deeply reported series garnered praise from Scientific American, Rolling Stone, and Esquire. The Atlantic called it “a mind-altering experience” and twice named it one of the year's best podcasts. The show is also the inspiration for a series of kids books, including Do You Believe In Magic?, Is There Anybody Out There?, and The Search for Sasquatch. In addition to Wild Thing, Laura has worked on multiple award-winning podcasts, including Master Plan, Blood Vines, and The Syndicate. Laura's prior experience includes close to a decade of editing and producing at NPR in Washington, D.C., and at KPCC in Los Angeles. An Idaho native who grew up camping in the woods, Laura now lives in Colorado—conveniently close to prime Sasquatch territory. This is her second appearance on the Via podcast; last season, she took us on a road trip to the West's most notorious UFO hot spots.

I'm really happy about today's podcast and that's because today's guest is a shining example of a new, very well-prepared generation of leaders that is coming through the ranks in the international insurance sector. With senior roles in the company market and inside Lloyd's itself Stephanie Ogden was already well-rounded before she took on her current role as the CEO of the Munich Re Syndicate at Lloyd's. Steph is a breath of fresh air – actually I'd say more like a blast. Listening back to this conversation, I have rarely spoken to someone who carries themselves as naturally as she does. I spoke to the same person before, during and after our recording. What you hear is what you get and what you get is a very clear sense of how one of the Lloyd's market's most consistently successful businesses sees the market today, where it sees it heading and how it intends to engage. This is a very well-rounded conversation. As one might expect, it's technical and financial but it's also technological, commercial, professional, passionate, personal and laced with humour. Steph is highly engaging and is well across the core challenges facing the London and global specialty markets, from the opportunities arising from the internationalisation of the market to the impact of technological transformation and AI. Talking to Steph made me feel a little old – but in a good way. Growing old isn't easy, but when people really don't enjoy getting old it's because they think that things are getting worse than they used to be, not better. Forty-five minutes with Steph and the only conclusion is that many things are definitely getting better and the market's best days are ahead of, and not behind it. In the shadow of World War I, a horrifying epidemic of murder took root in the quiet, isolated farming village of Nagyrév, Hungary. Driven by the desire to escape abusive arranged marriages, and oppressive household dynamics, a secret society of local women turned to a mysterious midwife named Susanna Fazekas. Armed with an "untraceable" lethal solution boiled down from everyday flypaper, what began as a desperate means of self-defense quickly spiraled into a decade-long syndicate of greed and convenience. For years, a corrupt local coroner and deep-seated village superstition kept the soaring body count hidden under the guise of natural causes. But when a national census finally exposes a statistically impossible death rate, investigators unearth a nightmare of domestic poisonings that erased entire family trees, and prove that in Nagyrév, every home-cooked meal could be a death sentence. Citizens of the Milky Way, prepare yourselves for The Widow-Maker Syndicate!
