The Battle "The title of this sermon is when you are taking punches to the head. Today's scripture reading is Ephesians chapter six verse 10 to 13 and it reads a final word. Be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on all God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil for we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies." The Lord would have taught you first King chapter 1911 to 15 and it reads, go out and stand before me on the mountain. The Lord told him, and Elijah stood there. The Lord passed by and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose. first Corinthians chapter 1433 for God is not a God of disorder, but of peace as in all the meetings of God's Holy people bring order to your life and you will win every time. first King chapter 1911 to 15 and it reads, go out and stand before me on the mountain. A rock where no enemy can reach me. Oh, my people trusted him at all times. Pour out your heart to him. For God is our refuge. Some people are as worthless. Common people are as worthless as puffs of wind and the powerful are not what they appear to be. If you weigh them on a scale together, they are lighter than a breath. Breath of air. Do not make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, do not make it the center of your life. God has spoken plainly and has heard it many times. Power, Oh, God belongs to you. Unfailing love. Oh Lord, it is yours. Surely you will pay all the people according to what they have done. Jesus' name we pray. The Same But Different slave 2nd Peter chapter two verse 19 "they promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption for you are a slave to whatever controls you." Then he looks at me and he says, I know who you are. You don't know who I am, but you saved my son's life at this time. I got, I had to be like a good, like 27 years old, I believe I was like 27 years old, and he's like, you saved my son's life. My son got off of drugs because of you. So he introduces me to this guy and I say, you know, how did I save your life? We pray that you guide them, shelter them, shield them, protect them so they can see their glory and they can be free. We all have missed opportunities in our lives. Most importantly we have to know how to walk into that door that is open for the next opportunity. When you are doing the work of the Lord, he might be using you to do his will. The first step of recognizing when you might have pride in the situation. Second, repent from pride and all of its forms. Third, humble your self and don't take arrogance into the opportunity and learn His will by sitting in silence listening to his guidance. Jesus Teaches about Prayer (59) “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Pray like this Prayer pdf Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. Do you think you don't have the power to Forgive? Luke 23:34 Jesus asked God to forgive the people who were putting him to death—Jewish leaders, Roman politicians and soldiers, bystanders—and God answered that prayer by opening up the way of salvation even to Jesus’ murderers. Jesus was suffering the most horrible, painful death ever devised by sinful man, and he looked at the people responsible for his suffering and prayed for their forgiveness. The Roman officer and soldiers who witnessed the Crucifixion said, “This man truly was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:54). Soon many priests were converted to the Christian faith (Acts 6:7). Because we are all sinners, we all played a part in putting Jesus to death. The Good News is that God is gracious. He will forgive us and give us new life through his Son. 23:34 Roman soldiers customarily divided up the clothing of executed criminals among themselves.
