By Greg Thomas in Cleveland, OH - August 7, 2021 - In about a month we will begin to celebrate the fall Holy Days. Together they look forward to the return of Jesus, the establishment of the Kingdom of God, and the opportunity of salvation to all who never were called in their lifetimes. In preparation for these coming Holy Days, I would like to give a Sermon today on why every Christian should be observing God's Holy Day Festivals. So here are 5 reasons every Christian should be observing God's Holy Day Festivals.

Jane and Shannon talk about 1 Peter 2.
Shalom fam! Perhaps we haven't heard much about the flesh of Jesus Christ outside of the context of crucifixion or Bread of Life? However, Holy Spirit has shown through His Living Word the power of the Flesh of Jesus Christ as it pertains to His Bride (The Church) overcoming and making herself ready for Him-removing the blemishes, stains, and wrinkles of her garment as written in Ephesians 5:27 presenting her to Himself holy and blameless-that's a major part of Jesus's return people of God! As written we are advised not to have a hint of flesh found in sinful nature such as sexual immorality, any kind of impurity or greed because we are deemed God's holy people now on earth as in heaven as written in Ephesians 5:3, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 1 Peter 2, Deuteronomy 7:6, Isaiah 62:12, Daniel, etc. We are called to be imitators of Jesus Christ as written in Ephesians. We absolutely need his heart, mind, spirit, soul, and flesh people of God...we need the very flesh of Jesus Christ as written to remain in Him and Him in us, to become one in Him, etc. Holy Spirit has shown through scripture the power of his flesh (the flesh of Jesus Christ overcoming flesh found in the sinful nature. 1 John 4:16-20 Jesus has prayed the church be one in Him as He is one in the father. God is holy and anything in Him therefore is holy including us who are hidden in Jesus Christ, in his holiness and purity through his precious blood. Our eternal selves, the creation in Jesus Christ even now-we are currently hidden in Jesus Christ and seated with Him in heavenly realms as written in Colossians and Ephesians. Again bringing to mind that even outside the dimension of time we remain seated with the Holy One, Jesus Christ in eternity as his holy nation, his kings & priests, as his true sons of God; which by the way, affords us the privilege and honor to pray from a place of victory even now in and through Jesus Christ, by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony, his sacrifice on the cross and victory over sin and death praise Jesus. The word of God commands us to consume His flesh in remembrance of Him (the new blood covenant), His flesh is real flesh, food people of God as written in Matthew 26 and John 6 especially John 6:55-56 *see G4561 - sarx - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv) (blueletterbible.org). We are to renew our mind-taking on the mind of Christ and his heart of flesh and spirit as written in Ezekiel 36:26, Matthew 11:28-30, a clean heart as written in Psalm 51:10 and Matthew 5:8 all of which are very important regarding the process of transformation and maturation of a believer in Jesus Christ on the road to Romans 8:18 and 1 John 3:2 manifesting on earth as in heaven. Yahweh as a gift offers his children a new heart of flesh and spirit (a heart of flesh as written in Ezekiel 36:26 as opposed to remaining in the Romans 7:25 struggle) not a heart of stone, not a hardened heart, not a deceptive heart as written in Jeremiah 17 but his heart, his flesh and not our own praise God allowing Him to make us new, that new creation in Him! Allowing Jesus to change the very course of our sinful nature to that of his holy nature we see depicted in Isaiah 43:18-19 praise God. For the word of God speaks of the pure in Heart seeing God as written in Matthew 5:8! The word of God speaks of us putting on the mind of Christ, clothing ourselves in the essence of his heart which is humility and gentleness people of God. God has a heart and soul as written in Jeremiah. Our God desires us His Bride to become one with his heart, mind, soul, and flesh beautiful people of God! The two become one flesh as written in holy scripture. By the betrothal mentioned in Hosea 2 we see we shall also conceive become pregnant with the the seed of Yahweh-the seed of love, seed of righteousness and his faithfulness praise Jesus to bear fruit of his Spirit & kingdom praise Jesus on earth as in heaven praise God (we will rightly divide the scripture to further convey this concept). As Creator and our Groom (our Husband and Redeemer as written in Isaiah 54:5), Jesus is molding and shaping us into his Bride that will be flesh of of his flesh quite like he fashioned Eve for Adam, and Adam declared Eve was bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. The Church the Bride of Christ is to become one flesh with Jesus Christ via His holy matrimony covenant, peace covenant, and blood covenant praise God. Jesus Christ, God in flesh as written in 1 Timothy 3:16 lives-He is absolutely alive and offers us a heart of flesh and new spirit through the living Word of God as written in Ezekiel 36:26 praise God! A heart and spirit provided by Him for us that will help and cause us to obey Him, to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Abba God in heaven wants Godly offspring as written in Malachi 2:15 and Ezekiel 16 for example. Additionally, the living Word of God states we are born of God to be a kind of firstfruits of his creation through the Word of Truth, Jesus Christ as written in James 1:18. Check out this fresh new revelation, insight, and perhaps even new biblical concept that is absolutely amazing and true considering prophecies yet to be fulfilled concerning God's holy people written in Daniel 7, 8, 12 and Revelation 12 just to name a few people of God! The sons of God shall be on earth as He is heaven. Scripture declares the sons of God are his holy nation of kings and priests...vessels of His mercy and instruments of His righteousness displaying his splendor, glory and light on earth as in heaven. This is absolutely a part of prophecy unfolding as part of the culmination of all things and unity of the faith, the perfect plan and will of God per scripture people of God (Genesis 1:26-31). He wants to display his holiness through his chosen people Ezekiel 20:40-42, Isaiah 4:3 Receive the holiness and purity available to you in and through the heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit of Jesus Christ. We must renew our minds to receive of his holy flesh (body) people of God. Not all flesh is bad. The flesh of Jesus Christ is holy with abundant life, life eternal as written in John 6:54. His righteous, holy flesh is available to us via holy matrimony (betrothal) covenant becoming one with Him as His bride, receiving His new heart of flesh & spirit, through His blood covenant for He is the Sacrificial Lamb & Bread of Life, also through conception and birthing of His living word in and through us for the Word of God is the seed of life eternal and we may sow for ourselves (become pregnant) with his seed of righteousness in order that we bear the fruit of his unfailing love and devotion as written in Hosea 10:12..being slaves of God having our obedience lead us to reap holiness, righteousness, and eternal life as written in Romans 6:16-22.

Isaiah 3-4 Sermon Notes:1) Leaders Exiled, 3:1-152) Beauty Taken Away, 3:16-4:13) Home at Last, 4:2-6Reflection questions:1) God’s judgment upon Israel is her leaders being taken away. Are you preparing yourself to be leader? If you are a leader or a mature Christian, are you preparing others to lead and become more like Christ? See 1 Tim 3:1; 2 Tim. 2:1-2; Titus 2:1-82) Read Proverbs 31:30. Also read 1 Samuel 16:1-13 (especially vv.6-7, 12). Is beauty (or a good external appearance) a good thing or a bad thing? Or is it merely something that we overemphasize, something does not qualify or disqualify?3) Read Isaiah 4:2-6, then read Revelation 19:6-9; 21:1-5. What images of Isaiah’s do you see John use in Revelation?
Isaiah 2:1-22 Sermon Notes:1) The Glorious Future of God’s Holy City, 1-52) The Ugly Pride of Man’s Downfall, 6-193) The Terrible Dread of God’s Majesty, 10, 19-22Reflection questions:1) Is 2:1-5 seems to be a vision of what could be for God’s people. How much of this is possible on this side of heaven? Also see Matthew 5:13-16. What does Jesus call us to do in these verses? What does he want the end result to be (see v.16, especially)?2) What can you learn about pride from this passage? What about these passages: James 4:6; Philippians 2:3-8 (esp vv.3-4); I Cor. 10:12; Rom. 12:3.3) Many believe that Isaiah’s audience wanted the day of the Lord (so he would destroy their enemies) to come and that many of them were in for an unpleasant surprise, based on Isaiah’s prophecy. See Amos 5:18-20 for another example of this. What should Amos’s “be careful what you wish for” message teach us?

Using God's Holy Name-1. Its Importance-2. Its Abuse-3. Its Proper Use
Sermon by Wayne States Midwest Pilgrim Holiness Church 1994
Today, we begin a series on character. The old maxim, "Character is who you are when no one is looking, certainly applies," but the character I want to begin with is not ours but God’s. God's character is revealed throughout Scripture and serves as an important starting point for understanding the ways our own character has been misshapen. As creatures created in the image of God, God’s image reveals something deep and true about who we were created to be. So this morning we begin with what I believe to be at the center of God’s very character: Holy Love.
