Listen as Mr.Green talks about his experience as a Substitute teacher in the Newark Public Schools District. It all began at Lincoln Elementary School. One of his 1st grade students remembered what he taught them, specifically being focused and ready to learn without giving up.     Newark's own Celeste Bateman produced a new Documentary titled, "Gone Too Soon: The Life, Legacy and Loss of Newark's Cultural Icons. The Premiere took place at the Newark Public Library. This is part (1) of an ongoing segment about this tribute some of Newark, NJ's finest and unique Icons whose Legacy continues to live. Gone Too Soon: The Life, Legacy and Loss of Newark's Cultural Icons is a documentary project that examines the lives and documents the artistic, cultural and educational contributions of several of Newark's cultural icons, among them: Cephas Bowles WBGO Jazz-88 CEO.     The Official First Winter Storm of 2020 during the CoVid Pandemic! I took a short adventure outside to the front of my home to see what all the talk was about regarding the first snow storm! Before I even ventured outside my town sent emails requesting us to stay inside and not to take unnecessary trips so that they can clean the streets.     Join host Ben Green aka Ben G!~Mr.RNB! as he shares a segment from his life experience. This episode opens the door to Education. Ben spent most of his career in the Radio/TV business behind the scenes. In 2007, he became a Substitute Teacher in the Newark Public Schools district. He taught First Grade from 2009-2010 as a F/T Substitute and encountered a challenging experience. Ben impressed his colleagues as well as students and parents. One particular student reached out and found Ben on InstaGram. It is here where our story begins. Ms. Kayana Clarke shared with Mr. Green, her thankfulness for what he taught her and the lessons she has learned and held on to till this day. She gives Mr. Green credit for building her confidence and allowing her to grow and fly with intelligence.
