He led the Raiders to the Superbowl for the 2002 season. Rich went to the Pro-Bowl four times and was the Most Valuable Player in 2002. Since football and broadcasting has dominated Rich's life, he was asked how he finds time for God and family. Rich quickly replied, “If something is important to you, you'll find time for it.” Rich attributes his success to his Catholic upbringing in a large, devoted family. Rich talks about how his faith had a positive impact in his personal and professional life. In the NFL, Rich was happy to find faith throughout the organization. With his success and accolades, Rich's faith keeps him grounded. He is excited about the recent election of Pope Leo XIV and hopes this event invigorates the Church, especially young people. Rich talks about the importance of parents as role models in the faith of their children. He challenges us all to pray for young people to return to the Church. What if the seeds of revival were planted long before the birth of Christ? And what if the struggle to preserve faith in the face of overwhelming cultural pressure laid the foundation for the Gospel's explosive spread across the ancient world?   In this episode of Revival Radio TV, we uncover a forgotten battleground where faith clashed with the seductive allure of Greek philosophy. During the Second Temple period, Judaism itself was torn between two worlds: 1 Maccabees—a political manifesto aimed at legitimizing the Hasmonean dynasty, stripped of miracles and divine intervention—and 2 Maccabees—a passionate defense of traditional faith filled with miracles, martyrdom, and divine deliverance.   The influence of Hellenism reached deep into Jewish culture, dividing the nation between those who compromised with Greek thought and those who clung to the faith of their fathers. It was a culture war that shaped the very world Jesus was born into. But more than that, it laid the groundwork for the great revival to come.   How did this clash of cultures prepare the way for the Messiah? And how does this ancient battle continue to echo through history, even affecting the Church today? Join us as we unravel the mystery of faith, culture, and revival.   RRTV_250413

This spontaneous and engaging conversation with speaker/author, Toni Campbell and host, Sue Duffield, is a delightful outcome when two Jersey girls get together to share their hearts, their passion for ministry and their love for reaching their communities for Jesus. Toni has over a decade of experience in commercial writing. She taught "Writing for Radio/TV" at a local community college for five years and is as comfortable in front of a microphone as she is behind a keyboard, which is where she has spent much of her time writing the book and blog, Lakeside Lessons. In 2012, she received Mercer County's Woman of Achievement Award (in NJ) for her outreach work. After reading The Externally Focused Church, Toni was so challenged by the concepts it presented that she began an outreach ministry at her church as a volunteer leader. That experience is the basis for her book, Jesus Has Left the Building: The Nitty-Gritty of Creative Church Outreach. It takes the time-consuming guesswork out of church outreach planning with step-by-step nitty-gritty details along with fine-tuning tips to ensure that you won't have to reinvent the wheel in outreach efforts.  www.sueduffield.com www.tonicampbell.org
