On the heels of the best weekend of the season, with another hour of daylight and temperatures creeping up, you'd think your hosts would be in a good mood. But whether it was a slate of matchups that produced less-than-compelling results or an unfortunate dog bath situation, IL's Terry Foy, Nick Ossello and Larken Kemp shade negative on this episode.Ultimately, the most significant outcomes of the weekend led to themes or trends that have them questioning teams' near-term outlooks, specifically Virginia on the heels of a loss to Towson and Maryland on a less-than-inspiring bounceback win over Delaware. From there, they dive into Notre Dame's Big Ten-esque win over Ohio State, Richmond's late separation from Georgetown, a slap fight between Syracuse and Hopkins and much more.
Pitt came back from Syracuse on Saturday with a win - and a lifeline of at least one more game this season. Now the Panthers are headed to Charlotte as the No. 15 seed in the ACC Tournament, where they'll face Stanford on Tuesday at 2 pm. Today, we're talking about the win over the Orange, some standout players and more.

It was, sadly, an appropriate ending to the regular season as some coaching miscues were costly for Syracuse in overtime. So now the focus turns to SU naming a new AD and who that AD will hire as the next basketball coach at Syracuse with Autry likely to be fired after SU's next loss, which come as soon as Tuesday night in the ACC Tournament to SMU. “March is a month for expectation,” said American poet Emily Dickinson. Sports fans understand this. As March begins, we see separation between the contenders and the pretenders. It's on.This week there are five fantastic Top 20 matchups to preview, and D-Fly & Dixie, with an assist from Inside Lacrosse's Kevin Brown, are here to get you primed. The show kicks off with a debate over whether March is the best month for sports fans, followed by Dixie's road show to Ivy League rivals Penn and Princeton. Kevin Brown, IL's managing editor, hops in to describe his fun role at Inside Lacrosse and talk First State lacrosse with D-Fly. Then they get straight to the scintillating slate. March 2026 is going to be one of the most transformative months in the history of Syracuse University athletics. A new Chancellor (Mike Haynie) is in place. A new athletic director is soon to follow and in all likelihood SU will be looking for a new men's basketball coach soon. What kind of AD does Syracuse need in 2026? Brent Axe discusses that and gives you his pick for AD then brings on Syracuse native Jim Cavale of Athletes.Org to discuss the qualities an AD needs in 2026 and the changing landscape he/she will be facing going forward. Host John Lund recap's Louisville's 77-62 bounce-back win over Syracuse in the home finale and what head coach Pat Kelsey had to say about it. Two things can be true about the win: it's actually okay to feel some excitement watching the Cardinals win a basketball game, while also knowing that there's still things to be fixed before the NCAA Tournament. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Brent Axe chats live following Syracuse basketball's 77-62 loss to Louisville on Tuesday night. As for the game, Louisville went bombs away from 3-point range (14-35) while SU answered weakly from 3-point range with a 4-19 performance (0-11 in the 1st half). The Orange were lost on offense, a sieve on defense and fell to 15-15 (6-11 ACC) overall All eyes are on moving on from Adrian Autry as head coach, an unavoidable scenario now, and the cavalry that needs to come in to save SU basketball. The first step took place on Tuesday with the appointment of Michael Haynie as SU's new Chancellor. A new athletic director could be in place soon and then the official focus on Autry's replacement once SU's season ends likely next week in the ACC Tournament. Then, with all eyes on Charlottesville in the late afternoon slot, Johns Hopkins did its best impression of the Undertaker meme, scoring 10 of 12 goals to turn an 11-4 deficit into a 14-13 win.To cap it off on Sunday, Princeton topped the No. 1 Tar Heels and 'Cuse avoided a three-game losing streak by topping the Quakers in overtime.IL's Terry Foy, Nick Ossello and Larken Kemp are back to discuss it all, in addition to the PLL Championship Series, which saw its first weekend unfold at The St. James in Springfield, Va.

On this episode of The Jon Gordon Podcast, I sit down with Brian White, veteran football coach, Harvard alum, and author of the upcoming book 'The Locker Room is Not for Sale', out now! Brian opens up about his forty-year journey through some of college football's leading programs, sharing powerful lessons on what makes the locker room a place for genuine connection, growth, and authenticity. Together, we discuss the challenge of nurturing team culture in today's world of NIL and big money, and why true success is built on brotherhood, unity, and the power of the human touch—not just on transactions or talent. Hear why "real is real, real is rare, and real has no color," and learn how anyone, whether coach, leader, or teammate, can wake up flying, attack the day, and capture the moment. Brian shares so many gems. You'll walk away inspired to build stronger, more unified teams and communities, both on and off the field. Check out Brian's new book, The Locker Room is Not for Sale! About Brian, Brian White is a career college football coach who has literally traveled the country for forty years and counting….chasing his passion for coaching and developing young men to be the best that they can be and reach their "genetic ceiling". During his decorated career he has been to the mountaintop celebrating a national championship while at Notre Dame in 1988, 2 Rose Bowl victories at Wisconsin, and coached 1999 Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne. He has also looked into abyss while going through a winless season coaching the Washington Huskies in 2008. To say he has seen it all in his career is an understatement! He is a proven developer of talent as the seemingly endless list of draft picks serves as testimony. Ron Dayne, Michael Bennett, Lee Evans, Aaron Gibson, Chris McIntosh, and Hall of Famer Joe Thomas were all ist round draft picks from Wisconsin while he was their coordinator. Chris Chambers, Brandon Williams, Cecil Martin, Chris Pressley, Brooks Bollinger, Jim Sorgi, Jonathon Orr, Brian Calhoun, Bill Ferrario, Casey Rabach, Al Johnson, Mark Tauscher, Ben Johnson, Dan Buenning, Owen Daniels and Mark Anelli were all NFL draft picks under his leadership. While at Syracuse for two years he put his NFL stamp on RB's Curtis Brinkley, Delone Carter, and WR Mike Williams. While at Florida he coached NFL players like Chris Rainey, Jeff Demps, Mike Gillislee, Matt Jones, Mack Brown, Aaron Hernandez, and Jordan Reed. At Boston College he recruited ist round draft pick WR Zay Flowers and 2nd round draft pick RB AJ Dillon. Both finished their careers as the all time leading receiver and rusher in school history respectively finding "diamonds in the recruiting rough" is his passion and developing them to their peak performance best is his daily pursuit as he jumps out of bed and attacks every day…. His players can hear his voice bellowing his mantra "play as hard as you can as fast as you can for as long as you can and be a great teammate"…..nothing else really matters.
