Good morning. It's Thursday, July 4th. I'm Moneen Daley, with your Mid-Columbia news from The Tri-City Herald. Today is going to be a beautiful day to get outside and enjoy the 4th of July. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 87 and very light winds. Then, the National Weather Service says it will heat up a few more degrees tomorrow and Saturday. High temperatures are expected both days near 90. Our top story today is about the worsening water outlook for this summer.

The high temperature should be near 84 with just a light wind. It’s also expected to be nice for the July 4th holiday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 87. Good morning, it's Thursday, June 27th. I'm Moneen Daley with your Mid-Columbia news from The Tri-City Herald. After yesterday's thunderstorm and fire warnings, the weather in the Tri-Cities area should return to near normal today and into the weekend. There is still a 20 percent chance of showers after 11am today, but for the most part it will be sunny, with a high near 76. Southwest winds will be 9 to 11 miles an hour. Tonight, it should be partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

There will be slight chance of showers this morning, with thunderstorms possible after 11am. Highs will be near 79. The risk of thunderstorms increases this afternoon and evening, with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, and a low around 55 degrees. The storms, with possible lightning, could bring a higher risk of fires to the Mid-Columbia area this afternoon and evening.

The winds are expected to die down from last night, though some areas could still get some gusts up to 30 miles per hour. The National Weather Service says it will be sunny all weekend and getting a little warmer every day into the 80s.

Good morning, it's Wednesday, June 19th. I'm Moneen Daley with your Mid-Columbia news from the Tri-City Herald. There’s a red flag wildfire warning today for the Tri-Cities, from 1pm to 9pm. That’s because gusty winds and low daytime humidity could cause fires to spread quickly. According to the National Weather Service, winds tonight could reach up to 32 miles per hour. High temperatures during the day will drop down to about 77.
