Though she accurately stated terrorists' intentions, the more ignorant of those in hercommunity are calling for her resignation. In North Carolina, the Muslim high school valedictorian tossed the speech that had been vetted by her school to go into a rant about Israel, America and ICE. In New Jersey, Hisham ‘Adam' Hamaway celebrated his Democrat primary victory by having Muslim supporters shout "Allahu Akbar!”In the U.K., Radical Islamist migrants have reached the tipping point, even influencing the Bank of England to drop Winston Churchill from banknotes. There is barbarism in Belfast, where these migrants, following the Quran, decapitate the Irish in broad daylight. No woman is safe, as men from Pakistan to Palestine claim it's legal under Sharia Law to rape young non-Muslim girls.  Yet when a noted authority in terrorism testified before Congress about the danger of Sharia Law seeping into America, only some of the Congressmen took the threat seriously enough. Others reflected the general tendency of Americans to remain in denial.

It comes from The Motivational Quotes (@MQUOTESLIFE) and the to-do item is this:  “Sometimes rest is the most productive thing you can do.”  One reason I see this as a good thing is that I'm getting older and so I can justify it a bit more.  But I'm also seeing the truth and importance of this truth too. To get through the tough moments that life can throw at us nowadays, really finding the time to rest and recharge is becoming more of a necessity instead of something to say “oh I wish I could rest and recharge”.  By resting, recharging, clearing our head, feeling better, recovering, etc., is that we can be better to go back and deal with things a bit later. The Campbell family's case has reached the highest court in the UK, the Supreme Court. They are litigating whether decisions by the AG can be challenged in the courts or if the AG is effectively above the law. If they win, they will be able to challenge the lawfulness of the AG's refusal to reopen Geoff Campbell's inquest, and winning at that stage would lead to reopening the inquest. Litigating at this level, whether in the UK or US, is very expensive. The hearing is in October, and the family needs to raise the final £125,000 by the end of June so that their barristers can get started in earnest.

Jesus reveals himself as the Messiah, then immediately destroys every false expectation: he will suffer, die, and call his followers to do the same. Glory appears on the mountain, but the message is not comfort—it is listen to him and follow him down the hard road. Again and again, Jesus exposes weak faith, pride, and divided loyalty, showing that discipleship is not admiration from a distance but costly surrender.Then he turns his fire on false religion. The outsider becomes the true neighbour, the listener is praised above the busy performer, prayer is raw dependence, and neutrality toward Jesus is exposed as impossible. By the time he confronts the Pharisees and lawyers, the point is unmistakable: God is not impressed by polished religion that hides greed, pride, and resistance. Jesus is forcing a choice—repent, or be exposed.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in 2001. A new documentary, "IX XI," revisits the tragedy by hearing the stories and reflections of 12 people who experienced the attacks from different perspectives. "IX XI" is screening as part of Tribeca Festival on June 14th at 3pm at the Village East by Angelika. Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Get your Hosea Scripture Journal now. What happens when spiritual leaders stop looking different? Listen to our text today, Hosea 4:9-11: And it shall be like people, like priest; I will punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. They shall eat, but not be satisfied; they shall play the whore, but not multiply, because they have forsaken the Lord to cherish whoredom, wine, and new wine, which take away the understanding. — Hosea 4:9-11 The priests were meant to be set apart. They were called to teach truth, guard God's Word, and lead people back to him. Instead, they blended into the culture around them. They began to look, sound, and live like everyone else—and the people followed. Because when spiritual leaders stop leading, the culture consumes them. We see this same thing happening right now. Pastors who look more like executives than shepherds. Churches shaped more by strategy than Scripture. Messages that reflect cultural crazes more than biblical truth. Over time, the edge softens, conviction fades, and truth grows silent. And eventually, there is no meaningful difference between the church and the world around it. Thus God says: "Like people, like priest." God will not ignore this. He says he will punish and repay the spiritual leaders for their negligence. Leadership matters in God's church, but so does followership. Both are accountable for what they become. Then God describes the outcome of poor leadership and followership. Busyness without fulfillment — "They shall eat, but not be satisfied…" Indulgences without fruit — "They shall play the whore, but not multiply…" And why? "Because they have forsaken the LORD…" When God is replaced—even subtly—everything begins to hollow out. What takes his place promises satisfaction but never delivers. Instead, it slowly erodes spiritual clarity. It.. "…takes away the understanding." That is the cost. Poor spiritual leadership leads to the blurring of truth and the fading of discernment, and thus, people are lost. But this is not just for pastors. It is about you. Are you following leaders anchored in God—or leaders who merely reflect the culture around them? DO THIS: Evaluate one voice you regularly follow and ask whether it is shaping you toward God or toward culture. ASK THIS: Where do you see spiritual leaders blending into culture today? How has leadership shaped your beliefs and decisions? Are you pursuing truth or simply what feels comfortable? PRAY THIS: Father, give me discernment to recognize truth and courage to follow it. Keep me from drifting with the culture. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Christ Is Enough"

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin rolled back protections against “forever chemicals” in order to make safeguards even stronger, he says. PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals,” are linked to cancer, infertility, and more.  Zeldin announced a rule May 20 proposing repealing limits on four types of PFAS in drinking water, and delaying regulations on two others, sparking criticism from the “Make America Healthy Again” movement.  But Zeldin, who agreed that consumers “should be” worried about water contamination, said his goal is to make the tap more, not less, safe.
