The Federal Reserve claims quantitative easing is over — but this week proved otherwise. In this SchiffGold Friday Market Wrap, Peter Schiff explains why the Fed's new Treasury-buying program is QE in everything but name, and why this shift is already sending gold and silver sharply higher. Despite rate cuts, long-term yields are rising, the dollar is weakening, and inflation pressures are building again. Gold closed the week above $4,300, silver surged past $60, and mining stocks are now confirming the bull market. Meanwhile, Bitcoin continues to lag as real money takes center stage. Peter breaks down: Why the Fed had to restart QE Why bond yields are rising anyway Why inflation is not going back to 2% Why gold, silver, and miners are leading the next leg higher Why waiting for “the dip” is a mistake If you're still sitting on the sidelines, this is the week that changed everything.

On today's podcast:1) Global stock gauges have record highs in their sights after a week in which affirmation that the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate easing cycle remains intact helped clear the way for a year-end rally. Europe’s Stoxx 600 rose as much as 0.5% to a fresh peak. A measure for Asia advanced to less than 2% from its all-time high. S&P 500 futures were slightly lower after the benchmark posted a new closing milestone in the previous session, when gauges for blue-chip and small-cap US stocks also pushed into record territory.2) Broadcom Inc., a chip company vying with Nvidia Corp. for AI computing revenue, slumped after its sales outlook for the red-hot market failed to meet investors’ lofty expectations. The shares fell about 5% in premarket trading on Friday, following unsettling commentary from Chief Executive Officer Hock Tan on a conference call with analysts. He said the company has a backlog of $73 billion in AI product orders that will be shipped over the next six quarters — a number that disappointed some investors. But Tan sought to clarify that the figure was a “minimum.” 3) President Trump said the US would be willing to contribute assistance to Ukraine as part of a security agreement to end the war with Russia, but continued to express frustration with the pace of talks. Still, he expressed disappointment that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy had not more readily signed off on an American peace plan, adding to pressure on officials in Kyiv who pushed back on an earlier US proposal seen as too accommodating to Moscow.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

BUY GOLD HERE: https://firstnationalbullion.com/schedule-consult/ Avoid CBDCs and work with Mark Gonzales! HELP SUPPORT US AS WE DOCUMENT HISTORY HERE: https://gogetfunding.com/help-keep-wam-alive/# Josh Sigurdson talks with Mark Gonzales about the massive historic move towards gold and silver as we actually see shortages. With gold breaking $4200 and silver hitting $60, we are in uncharted territory. Even banks like Goldman Sachs are maintaining that gold will hit $4900 per ounce as we see historic central bank buying. With the odds of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates again this month rising, this is also pumping up the number of bullion and Bitcoin. However, more importantly, people need to start personally insuring their wealth versus the imploding economy as inflation skyrockets despite false official numbers. Simultaneously, banks are bankrupt. Cash to deposit ratios are below 1%. Derivative exposures are sky high. The FDIC itself is bankrupt. And with that, we see the not so subtle launch of the digital system, with digital IDs and CBDCs launched worldwide, forcing people into an economic trap that is nearly inescapable once inside. Banks continue the age old practice of market manipulation with bullion but the long term is what people need to be focusing on. Zoom out. It's not an investment. Wall St was little changed overnight as traders absorbed mixed US labour data and strengthened expectations for a Fed rate cut next week, while small caps hit new highs and nuclear energy stocks rallied. Industrials and communication services helped keep the S&P 500 near record levels, bond yields ticked higher, and European markets rose on improved risk appetite. Locally, the ASX is set to open higher after miners hit fresh record highs, supported by copper strength, with oil, gold and iron ore all firmer ahead of key US inflation data. Then we bounce into a fun rundown of everything worth doing in San Diego this month, plus our festive highs and holiday sighs. Plus, Erik finally meets the legendary Auntie Doo Doo in person — and trust us, it's everything you hoped for, wheeze-laugh included. And of course, a juicy Double D Showbiz report spills on the relationship status of the Wicked chicks. Are they defying gravity together or what?! Thanks for being with us every week. In true Brick Session fashion, Mark doesn't hold back as he unloads on what he famously calls the T100 “cake and arse party” in Dubai — and yes, there may be a bit of swearing, so consider yourself warned. As always, Caroline brings a more balanced perspective as the two of them break down the many factors that led to athletes miscounting bike laps and failing to complete run course. In a thought-provoking segment, Caroline asks whether a formerly banned (doping) triathlete should still be allowed a voice in the sport?  Mark's answer might surprise you. This episode also dives into Mark and Caroline's recent Himalayan adventure, where they completed the full Manaslu Circuit in just 5.5 days.  A route that normally takes two weeks or more. They share detailed insight into altitude, acclimatisation, what to do if severe sickness hits, and practical tips for anyone dreaming of a high-altitude expedition. Finally, they express heartfelt thanks to everyone who has generously donated to the Peak Education Nepal charity. A packed episode full of honesty, adventure, insight, opinion — and plenty of Brick Session character.  Enjoy!

After months of speculation, predictions and U-turns, Rachel Reeves finally announced her Budget this week. Global fertility rates aren't just falling: the rate of decline is accelerating. From 2006 to 2016, fertility dropped gradually, but since 2016 the rate of decline has increased 4.5-fold. In many wealthy countries, fertility is now below 1.5. While we don't notice it yet, in time that will mean the population halves every 60 years.Rob Wiblin is already a parent and Luisa Rodriguez is about to be, which prompted the two hosts of the show to get together to chat about all things parenting — including why it is that far fewer people want to join them raising kids than did in the past.Links to learn more, video, and full transcript: https://80k.info/lrrwWhile “kids are too expensive” is the most common explanation, Rob argues that money can't be the main driver of the change: richer people don't have many more children now, and we see fertility rates crashing even in countries where people are getting much richer.Instead, Rob points to a massive rise in the opportunity cost of time, increasing expectations parents have of themselves, and a global collapse in socialising and coupling up. In the EU, the rate of people aged 25–35 in relationships has dropped by 20% since 1990, which he thinks will “mechanically reduce the number of children.” The overall picture is a big shift in priorities: in the US in 1993, 61% of young people said parenting was an important part of a flourishing life for them, vs just 26% today. That leads Rob and Luisa to discuss what they might do to make the burden of parenting more manageable and attractive to people, including themselves. In this non-typical episode, we take a break from the usual heavy topics to discuss the personal side of bringing new humans into the world, including:Rob's updated list of suggested purchases for new parentsHow parents could try to feel comfortable doing lessHow beliefs about childhood play have changed so radicallyWhat matters and doesn't in childhood safetyWhy the decline in fertility might be impractical to reverseWhether we should care about a population crash in a world of AI automationThis episode was recorded on September 12, 2025.Chapters:Cold open (00:00:00)We're hiring (00:01:26)Why did Luisa decide to have kids?
